The next day Mandy and Niya went window shopping through Seoul. The two best friends ended the shopping spree when they saw that the sun was setting down. They had an early dinner at home and packed Niya’s luggage as she had a morning flight the next day. They finished by 10 in the night and immediately went off to sleep.

The next day Mandy returned to her classes after a break of 4 days. Ji Hoo was a bit surprised to see her there as he had expected her to be with Niya.

“Isn’t Niya leaving today?” Ji Hoo whispered to her during class

Mandy nodded

“Aren’t you going to see her off?” He said

Mandy shook her head

“Why? Did you guys fight again?” he asked

“No, I just hate goodbyes” she simply said and made a finger-on-your-lips expression with her pen and then motioned him to pay attention to the class.

After the classes ended for the day, Ji Hoo and Mandy started towards the F4 lounge.

“Do you want to get some ice cream first?” Ji Hoo asked as they settled into his car

“That day you were the one who told me not to have cold things and today you want to get ice cream?” Mandy said

“Yeah well, today I feel like eating ice cream. So do you want some?” he asked

Mandy just shrugged and had a deflated expression on her face as she strapped on the seatbelt.

Ji Hoo looked at her for a second and then drove on towards their favorite ice cream parlor.

“Do you want vanilla?” Ji Hoo asked as they entered the shop.

“No, I think I’ll try something different; umm… chocolate chip with brownie” she said

“Ok” Ji Hoo said and she turned around towards the exit

“I am going to the park to get some fresh air” she told Ji Hoo and exited the shop.

Ji Hoo had guessed right that Mandy was upset because of Niya going back; that’s why he had brought her for ice cream. And he had a pretty good idea too why she had suddenly wanted to get some ‘fresh air’. He paid the cashier and started moving towards the center of the park, where he knew Mandy would’ve gone.

He saw her standing next to a tree and her back was to him. Ji Hoo went towards her and slowly hugged her from behind.

Mandy turned around and fully hugged him. She buried her head into his chest and gave out tiny sobs. Ji Hoo comforted her best he could with two ice cream cones in his hands.

Mandy controlled herself and wiped her tears.

“You knew I was upset.” She said it more like a statement than a question.

“Well, it’s not like anybody could miss it; you didn’t have the sparkle in your eyes that you usually have” Ji Hoo said as he offered her the cone.

“You know, you are the third person in this world who really gets me; and first guy at that” she said smiling

“So what is the prize I get?” he asked comically

“My life; you have joined the rank of people whom I would die for”

“Wouldn’t really benefit from that, now would I?” he chuckled

“Hmmn, then what else do you want?” she asked.

“I don’t know; let’s see…” he continued in a comic tone “What don’t I have?” he asked

“A girlfriend; I’ll help you find one before I go back” Mandy offered

“Yeah… I don’t really want that for now, think of something else” Ji Hoo said

 “You already got a haircut, what more can I get you? By the way, this looks hot” Mandy complimented him.

Ji Hoo had changed his hair from golden to brown and had also got a haircut.

“Then a tattoo?”

“I’m not getting a tattoo” Ji Hoo quickly said

And they kept on discussing it for about half an hour, strolling through the park and eating ice cream. They even kept discussing things on the ride to the F4 lounge.

“Ok then, let’s do this; you get one wish, one thing you want me to do, no questions asked” Mandy said as they entered the lounge

“I already have one wish remember; from the day you made us dress up like girls” Ji Hoo reminded her

“Ok then, I just upgraded it; you don’t have to follow the reasonable boundaries clause” Mandy finally said

“Hmmn, ok deal” and he extended his hand to hers

“Finally!” she sighed heavily and shook his hand.

“What are you guys talking about?” Woo Bin asked

“He got his wish upgraded; he is not bound by the reasonable clause anymore” Mandy said as she sat down next to him

“Why?” Yi Jung asked

“Because I’m such a wonderful friend” Ji Hoo laughed and went towards the audio system to put on some music.

“Then what about me?” Yi Jung asked

“Your wish giver is Ga Eul, you have to talk to her about it” Mandy said

“And what about me?” Woo Bin asked

“You don’t get your clause removed” Mandy stated

“Why? When everyone else does, why can’t I?”

“You might have if you weren’t always teasing Niya” Ji Hoo said

“It’s fun” Woo Bin said defensively

“Well, it’s in Niya’s hands to remove the clause; if she does remove it, good for you. But I don’t think she would” Mandy said

“Why do you say that?” Yi Jung asked

“She doesn’t really trust the male species; bad history” Mandy said

“What happened?” Woo Bin asked

“She just has always been with the wrong kind of guys till now” Mandy said

“But why didn’t you go to see her off today?” Woo Bin asked

“How did you know that?”

“My men told me” Woo Bin said

“Oh, right”

“So why didn’t you?” Yi Jung prodded

“I just hate goodbyes” Mandy said and there was a catch in her voice. She quickly got up and moved towards the audio system and started to observe it, to stop her tears from coming again.

Ji Hoo motioned the guys to kill the topic and shift to something else.

“So Mandy, I needed your help with something” Yi Jung called out to her

“What is it?” Mandy asked as she sat down on her seat again

Yi Jung explained the whole situation to her

“But you cannot tell anyone, ANYONE” Yi Jung said

“Don’t worry; my lips are sealed” she said

“So you have been busy on this rather than your exhibition right?” she asked

“Yes” Yi Jung said “Can you help me?” he looked at her pleadingly

“I have to, coz it is verified now that you can’t do anything good yourself. And also because I want to see Ga Eul happy.”

“Thank you so much” he gave out a relieved breath

“But I swear Yi Jung, if you do this again, I’ll kill you” Mandy warned him
