The next day Mandy, with her whole family, Niya and the F4 & the girls went to the amusement park. They enjoyed the rides, took lots of funny pictures and became kids with kids. After that they all had an early lunch at a Thai restaurant and everyone went back to the hotel. Within half an hour, everyone checked out and all went off to the airport. The F4, Jan Di, Ga Eul and Niya accompanied Mandy to the airport to see off her family.

Mandy had started crying as the last call for their flight came. She hugged everyone goodbye and Ji Hoo put his hands around her shoulder and started consoling her.

“You are going to see them again” Ji Hoo said as he wiped her tears with his fingers and rubbed her hands in his.

“I know” Mandy wailed

“Stop it; you are not getting married; so stop with the Bidaai acting” Niya said and Mandy laughed a bit

“What’s that? Bidaai” Woo Bin asked

“It’s the time when after the marriage ceremony, the whole family sees off the bride when she is about to go to her in-laws’ house. But this situation is quite different.” Ga Eul answered in place of Niya

“You watch too many movies Jagiya” Yi Jung smirked

“No, she said it just right; usually the family sees off the girl, but here it’s opposite; and I’m not even married. I’ll see them all in a few months.” Mandy said

“Then what’s the problem?” Jun Pyo said

“I just wish they stayed a little longer” Mandy said half-sadly

“I’m here, aren’t I?” Niya said

“Yes, you are! And I so happy for that! Now we can celebrate your birthday here too.” Mandy said smiling cheerfully

“When is it?” Woo Bin asked

“Tomorrow” Mandy answered

“So you are younger than Mandy?” Yi Jung asked

“No, she’s actually a year older” Mandy grinned

“So she was your class sunbae?” Jan Di asked

“No, but she is my sunbae in a lot of things; she is more mature, more successful and definitely more experienced than me” Mandy said the last part while wiggling her eyebrows at her best friend “Just like you two are” Mandy said

“Agar tune ek aur shabd bola to main tujhe maar dalungi (I’ll kill you if you utter another word)” Niya said while smiling continuously

“Now Niya-ssi, there is a rule that we have made that we would only talk in English when we are together, because it’s the only language all of us share” Yi Jung started saying “So, please tell us what you said” Yi Jung smiled at her which made her stutter.

“Uh, um I was just saying that she should stop saying too many good things about me” Niya lied

“Yeah right!” Woo Bin rolled his eyes when he saw the reaction Yi Jung’s smile got from Niya. He had been practically smiling at her continuously the last evening when he had dropped her off and he got no reaction; but Yi Jung’s simple smile gets a glazed eyes reaction.

Everyone looked at him strangely but didn’t say anything.

“So, Ga Eul, Jan Di do you have any plans tomorrow?” Mandy asked the two girls

“No, nothing other than my school shift” Ga Eul said

“And my classes” Jan Di added

“Can’t you take a leave tomorrow too?” Mandy asked in a pleading voice

“I think something can be arranged” Jan Di said

“Great, we’re going to have girls’ day tomorrow” Mandy jumped up and down

“You know it is my birthday; wouldn’t hurt taking my opinion” Niya said sarcastically

“Oh come on! Don’t be such a party pooper; we are going to have lots of fun” Mandy said smiling like a little kid

“Ok, fine” Niya smiled

“Yay” and Mandy jumped up and down with excitement and trotted off dancing towards the exit gate. Everyone laughed and followed

“I really can’t believe this is the same Mandy unnie we have known for months, who always acts maturely. It’s like she has a split personality” Ga Eul said

“Being with her family does that to her” Niya said “No matter what she says, she loves being the baby of her family; but that is the extent of it. Her family is enough to make her feel like a kid; but she needs her friends and colleagues to take her seriously, to see her as an adult.” Niya finished as they all reached the cars and Mandy was already waiting beside Ji Hoo’s car.

“So unnie, what are you going to do today?” Ga Eul asked Mandy

“This girl and I have a lot of catching up to do” Mandy said referring to Niya

“But don’t you guys share everything with each other?” Woo Bin asked

“No, I share everything with her, but I have to scrape out information from her; she’s not a good sharer” Mandy said

“I’m standing right here” Niya reminded them

“Yeah well I’m not gonna lie, now am I?” Mandy looked cockily at Niya

“We’ll talk later” Niya said motioning to Mandy “For now, let’s go”

“Sorry Bhai, you would have to drop off Niya today too” Mandy said as they all sat in the cars.

“Okay” Woo Bin replied and stepped into the car

After a few moments, after realizing she had no other option, Niya also settled in her seat uncomfortably.

Ji Hoo drove ahead of Woo Bin and they reached Mandy’s apartment building ahead of Woo Bin and Niya. Mandy waited for 20 more minutes and had just picked up her cell phone when the doorbell rang.

“I was going to call you; where were you?” Mandy said as she opened the door

“Nothing, just got stuck in a traffic light” Niya said

“Okay, but where is Bhai?” Mandy asked peeping outside the door

“He had to go somewhere, so he dropped me downstairs.” Niya said

“Do you want some coffee? I was making one for myself” Mandy said as she closed the door and moved to the kitchen

“Yeah sure” Niya called out as she moved to Mandy’s bedroom

Niya quickly freshened up and changed into her pajamas

“What’s for dinner?” Niya asked when Mandy brought in the coffee in the room

“What do you want?” Mandy said as she settled on the bed with the TV remote

“I feel like Chinese. Can we order takeout?”

“Sure”

“So what are we watching?”

“Some Korean movies Ga Eul suggested”

The girls had a late movie night and kept chatting till midnight.

“Happy Birthday!” Mandy shouted and hugged Niya

“It’s not 12 in Delhi yet” Niya reminded her

“WE are in SEOUL. So that’s the timeline we are going to follow” Mandy said in a final tone as she presented a gift

“When did you get this?” Niya asked

“I have some influential friends here, things get done easily” Mandy grinned

“What is it?” Niya looked at her best friend suspiciously “How much did you spend on it?”

“Not much, come on open it” Mandy said eagerly

Niya opened the package and in it was a beautiful indigo colored dress with accessories

“This is your wardrobe for tomorrow” Mandy grinned at her BFF

“Oh! This is so pretty; But you didn’t waste too much on it right?”

“No, it was not much; it was on sale” Mandy lied

“You do know that you are not a good lier, right?” Niya asked

“I know” Mandy grinned and again hugged her friend

“Come on now, let’s go to sleep. I want to get fully rested before your crazy day starts” Niya said and switched off the lights
