Alcohol Minus Two

My oppa, Lee Sungmin

Miyoung POV:

"So who's your friend at school?" Kyuhyun asked me.

"Well, there's this one person..."

"Who?"

"Why do you want to know?"

"Well..."

"His name is Jay."

"Jay?"

"Yeah.  Jay Park.  He claims that he's from Seattle, but I'm not sure if he's telling the truth."

"Oh."

"Why do you ask?"

"Just making sure that you hang out with good people."

"Right."

"We should get downstairs.  Sungmin hyung wanted me to call you down."

"I don't want to go to my birthday party."

"Too bad.  Your birthday isn't a bad thing."

"Kyuhyun-ssi--"

"Let's go.  Everyone's waiting."

I was dreading the party they were going to throw me.  I held my breath as I opened the door.  Kyuhyun and Heechul were waiting and dragged me in.

"Come on, Miyoung.  You'll like it!" Heechul exclaimed.

"I don't wanna."

"Lee Miyoung, get in there right now."  Heechul glared.

"Sorry."  I opened the door slowly and walked into the kitchen.  Silently shutting the door behind me, I turned around.

"SURPRISE!"

Here we go.  I smiled weakly at all of the guys.  "Thanks."

"Sungmin hyung went overboard!"

"Yeah, I can tell," I replied.

"We should sing happy birthday!"

"Happy birthday to you!  Happy birthday to you!  Happy birthday dear Miyoungie!  Happy birthday to you!"

I chuckled.  "Thanks guys."

"We got you some presents too!"

"I'll open them later."

"Why not now?"

"Because it's rude."

"We don't mind."

"But--"

"Open your presents!" Heechul demanded.

I sighed.  "Okay, which one should I open first?"

"Go from oldest to youngest."

"Okay."  I opened up the first gift that was put in front of me.  A picture?

"To remind you of us," Jungsoo spoke.

"Oh."

"This next present is the best it'll get." Heechul smirked.

"I'm guessing it's from you then, Heechul-ssi?"

"Ugh, formalities.  Open it, Miyoung-ah."

...A dress?

"Why--"

"Duh, you looked good in it."

"Gee, thanks--"

"You don't have to thank me because it's for my personal enjoyment."

"Eh?"

"I'm only human, Miyoung.  And you looked hot in that dress."

"Heechul hyung!" Sungmin exclaimed.

"Sorry, bro.  But your sister is hot!"

"Let's move on, shall we?" Kyuhyun sighed.

The bickering went on for a while; three hours later, I got through all of the birthday presents.

"Thanks everyone!" I smiled.

"It's no big deal, Miyoung.  But you shouldn't hide your birthday from us!"

"Sorry."

"Okay.  Now that the party's done, time for some alcohol!" Kangin yelled.

"You used my birthday party as an excuse to drink?" I laughed.

"Kinda..." he replied.

"Well then, count me out," I said.

"Yeah, my baby sister isn't allowed to drink." Sungmin declared.

"I'm not going to drink either." Kibum stood up.

"Great!  You can be Miyoung's babysitter!"

"Er...I don't need a babysitter."

"Yes, you do."

"No, I don't."

"If she doesn't want me to babysit her, I'm fine with that."

"Nonsense, Kibum.  Find some way to amuse her, even if it means taking her out of the dorm.  It gets crazy in here when we drink."

"Kyuhyun?  What about you?" Kibum asked.

"I'm going to go to my room."

"Eh?"

"Entertain Miyoung, Kibum hyung.  Aren't you some ladies' man?  You should be able to entertain a little girl."

"I'm not little!"

"Okay, a teenage girl."

"That's better."  I grabbed all of the wrapping paper and put it in the trash can.

"Miyoung, grab a jacket!" Kibum exclaimed.

"Huh?  Why?"

"We're going ice skating!"

"Eh?  But I don't know how to skate!"

"It's easy.  I'll teach you."

"Have fun. Miyoung!  Don't let Kibum touch you in any way!" Sungmin yelled.

"Thanks bro," I replied sarcastically.

We set off for the ice rink which was five minutes away.

"You know, Kibum-ssi, people are staring."

"It's probably because I'm wearing sunglasses."

"Why the ice rink?" I asked curiously.

"My cousin works there, and he lets me in for free," Kibum explained.

"I see," I replied.

We stepped inside, and the ice rink was really pretty.  But...I don't know how to skate!

"Time for you to teach me!"

He laughed and messed up my hair.  "I'll help you."

"Thanks!" I smiled.

"I like it when you smile."

"Thanks," I said softly.  I glanced down at my feet.  "How do you tie these?"

"I'll do it." Kibum bent down and laced up my skates.  "Let's go."

I took his hand, and he helped me navigate over to the ice.  It felt like I was going to fall.

"It's really slippery!" I yelled.

"Hold onto my hands," he said.

I did, and that helped a little.  He led me to the wall where I could practice.  Then, he moved a few feet away and showed me lots of tricks.

"Wow, you're good at skating," I said.

"Come out now," he said back.

I tried, but I ended up crashing into him.  It sent us both to the hard ice.

"Ow," I said. I looked up and Kibum was lying on my legs.

"Are you all right?" he asked.  "If you're hurt, Sungmin hyung will kill me!"

"I'm fine."

He helped me up.  We skated around a little more, and then we decided to go home.

"That was...fun," I exclaimed.

"Glad you enjoyed yourself.  They're probably really drunk right now..." he said.

"Yeah..." I said.

"Be careful around them while they are drunk," Kibum warned.

"Okay."

We opened the door, and it looked they had a real party.  We sighed and started to clean up.
