Miyoung POV:

"Don't you love life?" Ryeowook whispered in my ear.  My eyes shot open and I sat up in bed.

"Why are you asking me that?"

"I figured out a way to wake you up.  If I whisper something random in your ear, you wake up in an instant!" Ryeowook smiled and walked out.

"Gosh," I muttered.  My eyes noticed the date circled in red.  My birthday?

"Miyoung, breakfast!"

"Coming!" I yelled.  How could I forget my birthday?

"Actually, I lied.  We're a bit busy today, so could you make your own breakfast?" Sungmin asked hopefully.  I was about to tell him that it was my birthday, but I figured that it wouldn't make a difference.  

"It's cool.  You should get to your schedules."

"Thanks!  We'll be home later.  If you need anything, ask Ryeowook!"

"Okay."

I ended up back in my room, searching through my clothes pile for something cool to wear.  A purple v-neck with short denim jeans seemed fitting for the summer weather.

"I'm going out for a walk." I peeked into Ryeowook's room.

"Sure.  Don't get lost."

"Will do."

I grabbed my backpack and snuck out the front door.  It was early in the morning, and most of the neighbors were asleep.  

"Noona," someone whispered.

I almost screamed.  "Taemin?  What are you doing here?"

"I came over to ask the Super Junior sunbaes for some money.  I guess I caught you instead."

"Yeah."

"Do you want to hang out with me?" Taemin asked.

"I don't know..."

"It will be fun.  I'll introduce you to my hyungs."

"What if they don't like me?"

"Oh, they like everyone.  Trust me."

Taemin grabbed my arm, and we walked out of the apartment.

"Do you live in the same building?" I asked curiously.

"We live in the one next to Super Junior's."

"Is that why you can just come over?"

"Pretty much."

"Why don't you guys just live in the same building?"

"Too many complaints from the neighbors, I guess."

"I would hate to live next to a Korean idol."

"I would too.  I feel apologetic when the neighbors come over to complain."  Taemin looked down to read a text message.  He glanced at me apologetically.

"Sorry, but I have a last-minute dance practice.  I should get going."

"It's fine."

"Can I have your phone number, noona?"

"Eh?"

"Phone number."

"Oh, um..."

"I'll just put my number into your phone."  He took my phone from my hand and punched in his number.  "Here."

"Thanks."

"And why didn't you tell me it was your birthday?"

"What?"

"It came up as a notification on your cell phone while I was typing in my number."

"I don't like celebrating my birthday."

"Let's go somewhere quickly," he said.

"I thought you had dance practice?"

"It won't hurt to be a few minutes late."

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"The store," he said.

We got to the store, and Taemin dragged me to the toy section.  He grabbed a teddy bear and went to pay for it.  The lady glanced at his face a few times, confused.  She didn't say anything, though.

"Here," he said.  He pushed the bear into my arms.

"Thanks?" I replied.

"Don't the Super Junior sunbaes know?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Just don't.  They'll go through a lot of trouble." i said.  "I'll see you around.  Go to dance practice!"

"Bye!"

I reached the door in a matter of minutes and got inside before anyone could see.

"What's that?" Ryeowook asked.

"What?"

"The bear."

"It's nothing."

"Do you have a boyfriend that I should know about?"

"No."

"Well, I'm sure that Sungmin won't be happy to hear that you got a bear from someone."

I smiled.  "You think?"
