I spent most of my early teenage years that way, stuck in my room, working through problems, hearing Mom complain about my apparent “lack of motivation”.  As fifteen turned to sixteen turned to seventeen, I grew tired of hearing her complaints.  I no longer cared about making her happy; all I wanted was an escape from her constant nagging.

Thankfully, high school came around.

"Well, if the lighthouse represents the meaning of life, then I definitely haven’t reached it.  No one has.  Most of us are too afraid to try; that’s how I used to be.  But after I visited a little bookstore and met a high school employee who seemed to have more wisdom than I could ever dream of, he helped me realize something: we can’t be afraid to try.  I think that that’s a big part of what the book wants to say, and I’d like to think that I believe in the same."

A/N: Summer has finally arrived, and I've decided to take on a deceptively simple challenge: write twenty-five oneshots before the end of the year using twenty-five different bands. If you're interested, you can check out the contest, linked here. I'll update the foreword with band names and characters as I add oneshots to the collection.

Every scene will take place in The Bookstore--an ironically uncreative bookstore name for someone attempting to be creative, but the characters will change. Yook Sungjae, aka Gongtae aka my fave, will be in some scenes as an employee, though the focus still remains on the idol bands listed in the chapter names.

I hope I finish, but either way, I know that this will be a great writing experience.
