Summer Night's DreamWoo Bin pulled up to the curb and swiftly exited his new black Porsche sports car. Within a couple of strides he walked up to the valet and handed him his keys.
‘Please be careful with it, it’s my new baby’ he flashed him a pearly white smile.
He strode pass the mile long line to one of Seoul’s hottest night club and was greeted by the bouncer with a slight bow while he unlatched the red velvet rope from the forbidden entry that separated the silent streets of Gangnam to the hunting grounds of pretty women and men inside the tight confines of Club Ellui.
After the heart to heart with Shin Hye, he knew things were not right between the two of them and he could bet his entire fortune that she wouldn’t take the initiative to talk to Min Ho about it. Since she didn’t have the courage to face her fears, he decided being the dotting older brother friend, he would do it for her. He promised her that he wouldn’t relay the conversation word to word to Min Ho, but she never forbade him from dropping subtle hints.
It’s been ages since Woo Bin stepped foot in a club, let alone, one of the hottest clubs of Seoul. Min Ho was hesitant to meet him at a popular joint, he worried that people would snap photos of him and upload them to twitter throwing in an unwanted scandal as he wrapped up filming for Gangnam Blues. Woo Bin convinced him that the most dangerous place is the safest and he would have a VIP room booked, plus the y men and women there would be to engrossed with hunting for their other half that they could care less who they were.
Min Ho sat at the VIP bar located in a secluded area of the club, he was people watching while enjoying his whiskey on the ice. He missed the good old days when he could enjoy a wild night of clubbing with Il Woo and his close friends. He would trade the world to go back in time to be normal for just one day and out of the demanding spotlight. He felt a light tap on his shoulder and turned around and was swiftly brought into a warm, familiar hug.
‘Oppa, long time no see!’ she gave him a bright smile under the color strobes of light illuminating the dark club.
‘When did you come back?’ he released her from the hug.
‘A few weeks ago, but I’ve been a little jet lagged so have stayed at home for most of it. What are you doing here?’
‘I’m meeting up with a good friend of mine’
‘Cincha?! I remember that you were never a big fan of clubs’
‘Huh’ he let out a chuckle ‘I can’t believe you still remember. But somehow you were the only one who could drag me out to one.’
‘I’ve never forgotten. I’ve always remember everything about you’ she inched closer to him to close the space between them.
‘What are you up to?’ he sensed her underlying message and tried to change the subject to avoid going down the wrong path with her.
‘I’m lined up to do some commercial shoots’ she noticed he was feeling a little uneasy and decided to calm him down a bit by putting her hand on his lower arm
‘I’m looking at some scripts to do a drama later in the year. It’s a little loud in hear, it’s not really the right place to talk. How about we get a private room here or maybe even go grab some coffee like old times?’
‘Uhh….’ Min Ho started to scan his surroundings and silently cursed at Woo Bin for being late for putting him in this awkward situation. He always had a hard time saying no to her, what harm would a little coffee with an old friend do, Shin Hye would understand.
‘Hyung sorry I’m late’ Woo Bin arrived right when Min Ho was about to take her up on her coffee offer.
Woo Bin had caught the scene by scene play in front of his eyes. He too was curious to understand the relationship that Min Ho had with this girl. He was amazed at how forward the girl is, there was no way in hell Min Ho couldn’t sense she was interested in him.
‘Woo Bin ah, nice to see that you decided to show up’ Min Ho walked towards him and gave him a quick hug.
‘Mianhe, I was stuck in traffic. You know how Seoul is on a Friday night.’ Woo Bin glanced at the girl and back at Min Ho ‘And she is?’
‘What bad manners…mianhae. Annyeonghaseyo, I’m Park Min Young’ she walked up to Woo Bin to shake his hand.
‘I’m so embarrassed, mianhae sunbae. Annyeonhaseyo, I’m Kim Woo Bin’ he gave her a slight bow as he was slowly registering what he saw a few minutes ago to the heart to heart he had with Shin Hye.
‘Oppa looks like your date has arrived’ she playfully held onto his arm again ‘I don’t want to break you two up, lets do coffee another time’ she pulled him into a goodbye hug and waved at Woo Bin as she walked towards the dance floor to blow off some tension.
The hostess walks up to the two men and greets them with a bow.
‘You’re room is ready, please follow me’ she leads them down a dimly lit corridor and opens a door to their right to their private VIP room.
Min Ho instantly plops down onto the couch and begins to massage his forehead. Woo Bin hastily shut the door behind them and stood there eyeing Min Ho like a hawk contemplating if he should continue with his original conversation he planned on his way over here or interrogate him on his relationship w
