Tick tock…tick tock….tick tock…

They both lay still in bed staring at the dark ceiling waiting to just fall asleep but the adrenaline of their close proximity were keeping them awake.  He desperately wanted to touch her but mentally reminded him of the pillow divide he created to prevent him from acting upon his reckless thoughts.  She was fidgeting under the covers trying to find a comfortable sleeping position but the hint of his exotic smell of mint, Chanel Le Bleu and cigarette smoke senses and held her from falling into a deep slumber.  Ever so often, after her eyes got tired from staring at the dark ceiling, she would move her head sideways to secretly steal gazes of him hoping he would take the first step to reach over the wall of pillows and break down the barrier between them like the Berlin Wall.

Tick tock…tick tock….tick tock…

Neither of them moved, still fixated in their original awkward positions wary of making the first move.  Him worrying about coming off too strong, her worrying about her pride of being the first to show affection.  After switching between listening to the thumping sounds of her heart and the movement of his clock, her heavy eyelids gave out and she slowly fell asleep.

‘Shin Hye ah’ he whispered while softly staring at her angelic sleeping face. 

He knew she was asleep but he hoped his voice could awaken her from her deep slumber.  After some talking, maybe, just maybe he could reach over and draw her close to him to spend the rest of the night holding her tight in his embrace.  But to no avail, she stayed soundly asleep, he let out a soft sigh, took both his hands laid them under his thighs to prevent him from doing anything reckless to her in the middle of the night and he slowly forced himself to fall asleep as well.

Shin Hye started to stir in her sleep, her head moved side to side as part of one of her normal wake up ritual. Her eyes began to flutter and slowly blink to invite the bright rays of sunlight to adjust her blurry vision.  She turned her body to the left to block out the light in hopes of going back to catching up on her beauty sleep. Her right hand hit something softy and fluffy, she half opened her eyes to see what it was.  It took her a few seconds to register that it was the Berlin wall of pillows Min Ho carefully constructed last night to create a divide among them, she cursed under her breath.  She rubbed her eyes and carefully sat up carrying the duvet with her and exposing a shirtless, sleeping Min Ho.  She quickly pulled the duvet over his shoulders to prevent him from catching a cold, but more importantly, stopping her from doing something reckless like touching him to feel his soft tan skin.  Her gaze moved from Min Ho’s chest to the pillow divide, she let out a soft chuckle when she realized the pillows were in its original position and didn’t move a single centimeter.

Lee Min Ho, am I that unattractive? You didn’t even try to reach over the pillows to touch me.  Is it because of this ill fitting shirt I’m wearing? Or do I look ugly without makeup on? Aish this is so annoying I opened the door for you to walk in, but instead of walking in you closed the door.  What wrong with you? Or is it what’s wrong with me? No way, I’m Park Shin Hye Korea’s princess, there’s plenty of guys who find me attractive.  Just wait and see Lee Min Ho, I’ll show you.

She lifted the duvet cover being extra careful with limiting the cold air from flowing into the warm cocoon created by him warm sleeping body.  She didn’t want to wake him up just yet she has a little experiment she’s been meaning to try on him but was waiting for the right time and place for it, seems like today is her lucky day.  She creped her left hand under the duvet and searched for his right hand, her hand gazed over something chiseled and hard causing him to slightly move from her touch.  She kept her hand still on his bare abs not daring to move another inch, she crooked her head to see if he was still in a deep slumber.  His eyes were closed and the duvet cover moved in a systematically up when he inhaled and down when he exhaled from his normal breathing.  She decided the coast was clear and continued with her experiment. 

Her hand gently lifted off his bare abs and traveled further south to come into contact with his soft warm right hand.  She carefully glided her hand under his while staring at his face checking to see if their hand to hand contact would wake him up.  Her fingers started at the bottom of his inner palm and gently moved up grazing the inside of his hands all the way to the tip of his fingers and stopped.  He continued to lay in bed like a bear in hibernation, frustrated Shin Hye crooked her fingers so her nails were like a cat getting ready to scratch a toy, she gently moved her nails down his inner palms hoping it would send some signals throughout his body awakening him from hibernation.  Like her previous attempt, he continued to lay still.

Aish, what am I doing wrong! The magazine said the inner palm is a guy’s most sensitive spot other than the other body part a guy has.  Why isn’t he waking up? Hmm, maybe I’m not putting enough force.  Let me try the other tip they gave in the article. 

He felt a small shock move through his body and was amused at what was scratching him, last he remembered he didn’t own a cat and Choco is at his sister’s place.  He tried to play it cool and pretend he was still sleeping knowing full well it was Shin Hye working her magic.  He didn’t want her brave teasing to end and wanted to see what other tricks she had up her sleeve to awaken him.  He was thoroughly enjoying the situation and her assertiveness; it confirmed to him that she is in love with him just as much as he is in love with her.

Giving better access to his hand, she placed her hand directly under his and slowly one interval at a time turned his hand over so that his palm is now facing up.  She took her forefinger and gently presses it into the middle of his palm while continuing to stare at him to monitor his facial expression through her teasing.  She began to randomly trace his palm, he continued to lay there sound asleep.  She decided to take it up a notch and began to move her forefinger like a paint brush over his palm painting an infinity logo, tracing up with her nail, tracing down with the flesh of finger and pressing harder onto his palm with each movement with all the intention of bringing him out of hibernation by sending shockwaves through his body.

Aish, this girl! When did she become so reckless?  She better stop soon, I don’t know how much more I can hold it in.  She’s lighting my body on fire and we’re not even kissing, for Christ’s sake we’re not even touching each other.  Where did she learn this from? Breathe Min Ho, inhale….exhale…don’t blow your cover.  Just close your eyes and enjoy it.
