Min Ho was staring at the ceiling switching between fidgeting his body underneath the covers and loudly breathing to catch Shin Hye's attention. He had been at this for the past few hours but she didn't bite the bait one bit. Her back was firmly turned to him and had ignored all of his childish tactics.  He turned his head towards the window to catch some air, in the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of a golden ray breaking through the dark Parisian street. 

Is this the light at the tunnel? Has God finally taken pity on me and granted me solstice?

Min Ho turned towards her and noticed her ruffling under the covers. 

'Shin Hye ah, are you awake?' he asked in a whisper. 

Silence. The comforter was slightly moving like a ripple effect when a rock skipped across the river. 

'I've had enough of this Cold War. I'm sorry. Can we please talk?' 

'No' she moaned pulling the covers over her head. 

'Since you're awake, let's talk!' in one swift move he pulled the covers off of her and pinned her to the bed preventing her from avoiding him any longer. 

'Yah! Lee Min Ho! Let go of me!'

'Not until we talk and you tell me what's wrong. I need to know so I can make things right.' he moved his head closer to hers intently locking eyes. 

'Ok you want to talk, let's talk! But on my terms.  I ask questions and you answer.' she pushed him off of her and sat opposite to him with her arms crossed returning the intensity of his gaze. 

Park Shin Hye remember you have the upper hand. Don't let him sweet talk you!  Be firm, be strong!  The ball is in your court!

'Did you...' her voice trailed. 

'like her? Yes.' he finished her question continuing to stare at her without blinking. 

'Did you....'

'know she wanted me to go to Paris with her? Yes.'

'know she was here? No.'

'Would you...'

'have still come here knowing she was here too? Yes.'

'Why did you...'

'not accompany her to Paris before? I don't know. Time, interest, I don't know.'

'Would you....'

'still have taken me here knowing she was here? Yes.'

'Why?'

'Because you wanted to come. I knew it would make you happy. All I want is for you to be happy when you are around me. Your happiness is something I have control over. So coming to Paris, spending time together like commoners, was a no brainer.'

'love her?' He let out a loud sigh while she held in her breath preparing to hear the response that she deep down already knew. 'No.'

'No?!' Shin Hye broke their staring game and blinked her eyes. 

'No' he firmly responded to not give her any thoughts to doubt him. 

'Do you....'

'have any feelings left for her? No.'

'Then what are...'

'the two of us? Friends. Just like you and Yong Hwa...Woo Bin...and all the other men who flock around you.'

'Why didn't you create space between the two of you at the cafe? Why didn't you move her hand away when she playfully touched your arm?' She challenged him since Min Young's actions were clearly not friend to friend but more like friend to crush. 

'I don't know.' He raked his hand through his hair. 'It won't happen again, I promise.'

He softly gazed at her hoping to break the icy front she put up. He moved closer to her closing the space between them to end the Cold War. 

Shin Hye stretched her arm out to stop him from moving any further. She knew exactly what he was trying to pull on her, she needed to be as far as away from his touch or she would instantly admit defeat and raise the white flag.  

'How many before me?' she softly asked avoiding his gaze. 

'What?!' he didn't understand the question she asked and gave her a confused look. 

'What number am I?' 

'Huh?!'

'How many women did you like before me?' she boldly asked and closed her eyes anticipating a large number.

Aish this girlfriend of mine! How can she ask such a bold question? Doesn't she know she's a girl? Girls don't ask those types of questions. 

Min Ho let out a chuckle and shook his head in amazement from her boldness.
