Heart to Heart
Summer Night's DreamMin Ho and Jin Hyuk took small whiffs of their menthol cigarettes while enjoying Seoul’s night scenery from Woo Bin’s balcony. If one was just looking at their silhouettes, they would never have known that they were not related. Their physical features and comfort being around each other more than validated that the bond between them was special. Min Ho was glad to have met Jin Hyuk during the filming of The Heirs, he really put things into perspective and showed him that with hard work dreams can come true you just have to have the passion and courage to fight for it. On the other hand, Jin Hyuk was amazed at how well Min Ho dealt with his rising fame and noted a thing or two from the young chap that he would follow as his popularity began to rise after a successful year of acting in dramas well loved by the public.
‘Min Ho ah, it must be nice to find your other half. You look more relaxed and happy than when we were filming’ Jin Hyuk gave him a pat on the back.
‘Hyung, love does wonders. Plus it’s a bonus that we’re finally out of the spotlight and I can have some privacy back as the Heirs syndrome has died down for a bit.’
‘You know, you’re the first person I’ve talked to who doesn’t like to be in the spotlight’ Jin Hyuk gave him a confused look ‘Actually no, I take it back, you’re the second Shin Hye was the first.’
‘Don’t get me wrong I like being noticed, but just not all the time. I can’t even go to the grocery store without people snapping photos of me on their phone and sharing it through twitter and facebook.’
‘That’s a good thing! It means you’re popular! Things haven’t gotten that crazy for me, but one day, I wish it will happen’
‘Ha’ Min Ho let out a grumble ‘Hyung, be careful for what you wish for, you might regret it. I just wish to spend everyday in peace with Shin Hye, now that will be blissful. It sounds to normal but yet for us, given who we are and what we do, it is not that easy.’
‘As long as you have the will, there is a way.’ Jin Hyuk gave him another encouraging pat like an older brother would do to cheer on his sibling.
Both of them stood there in silence in deep thought contemplating about their hopes and dreams and the complexities tied to them. Unbeknown to them, another pair were having a similar dialogue right above them.

‘Shin Hye ah, stop cleaning up. My cleaning lady can do that tomorrow.’ Woo Bin tried to grab the paper cups from her hand but was unsuccessful.
‘Binnie, it’s ok I just have to throw these in the trash’ she projected the paper cups into the trash can like she was making a basketball shot ‘see, easy!’
Woo Bin raised his hands in front of his face and clapped loudly to applaud her 3 point shot.
‘Shinnie, where is my present?’ he stuck his right hand out and gave her a cute wide eyed expression.
‘I gave it to you earlier, the birthday cake remember?
‘Don’t play dumb, you’re always bad at lying. My souvenir present from Paris, please…’ he gave her a bright innocent smile.
‘Close your eyes’ Shin Hye dug into her back pocket and pulled out an Eiffel Tower key chain. She placed it into his palm ‘Ok, now you can open them. Happy Birthday Binnie!’
‘A key chain?! Yah, out of all the souvenir options a key chain? I thought you would bring me back a beautiful Parisian model.’ he gave her an annoyed look.
‘Wae? You will always remember me when you use the key chain to come home. This is a great gift!’
‘Aish’ Woo Bin walked over to her and handed her a beer. ‘Since you didn’t drive tonight, you owe me a drink. Drink up!’ he clinked his bottle against hers to get the party started.
‘How was Paris?’ Woo Bin turned to the left and stared at her waiting for her to give him the line by line details of what happened.
‘It was fun’ she answered nonchalantly and took a swing of her beer to avoid his gaze.
‘Just fun? You were there for a whole week. Did anything special happened?’ he probed some more.
‘Hmm…let me think’ she tapped her chin with her fore finger. ‘We went to the Louvre, did a scavenger hunt, rode a carousel…nothing special.’
He intensified his gaze towards her, something wasn’t adding up and he’s feeling like she’s hiding something from him. The bubbly Shin Hye that he knew was oddly too calm in front of him tonight. Maybe she was tired from her recent movie filiming, but Woo Bin knows for a fact that it wasn’t true as she was still bubbly and cute during the grueling non stop filming done for The Heirs.
‘Binnie, do you ever believe that we can be normal?’ she tried to change the subject.
‘Wae? Aren’t we normal? Last I checked you and I are not aliens unless you are hiding something big from me.’
‘No I mean can we ever be normal people. People who can freely post whatever they want on facebook and not be judged by their followers? People who can go to the store witho
