Visiting Hours.

Protecting Each Other.

I left Toni's parents house at about 8AM. They didn't have work so I ask if I could borrow their car again for a couple hours. Kris, Tao and Toni were still asleep when I left. Sarah had reluctantly given me the address of where I was planning on going. It was in Upper Hutt so that's where I drove to. I parked outside the house. I didn't realize that it was the same house I used to live at before my mum died until Sarah told me the address. I stared at the house and almost cried, but I didn't. I walked up to it and knocked on the door. I heard footsteps on the floor and heard him unlock the door and open it.

"Luciana." He said in a surprised tone. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you." I said in a monotone. "I don't know, maybe I shouldn't have come." I said as I began to turn around. He grabed my arm. I stoped and turned around.

"No, I'm ... I'm glad." He stuttered. "Want to come in? I was just going to make some coffee." He smiled awkwardly. I reluctantly accepted and stepped into the house. I was expecting to feel afrain but instead I felt the familiar feeling of lonliness. The same white walls throughout the house that once drove me insane. I took a look around the house as he continued to make some coffee. I stopped out side my room. I hesitantly opened the door so see dust showing as the sunlight streamed through my old room. Nothing had changed. The bed was unmade from the last time I slept in it all those years ago. The draws unevenly opend from when I hurriedly packed all my clothes. The faded bloodstain on the carpet I couldn't wash out when Mina punched me in the face for calling her a psycho when I was 9. I walked around my tiny room as the memories of my childhood came back to me. James. The guy I used to call dad. They guy who I used to run to whenever he came home from work late. He used to pick me up and spin me around and he'd make me laugh. I never really knew what changed and I never want to find out. Maybe is James was still a decent person, Mina wouldn't have become such a and mum would still be alive. I don't know. All these emotions are building up inside of me. I left my room and went back to the lounge.

"May I ask how you've been doing, Lucy?" He asked me politely.

"Been good. I've moved to South Korea. I met my older brother for the first time a few months ago and I'm in a really good relationship." I told him calmly as he handed me a cup of coffee and I siped it. This morning is cold. New Zelaland is heading into Winter.

"That's good. I'm happy for you." He looked at me sadly. "There's no other way to say this, but I really am sorry for everything I've put you through."

"I narked on Mina." I blurted out. "She killed someone and buried the body and I told the police." I sighed. "That's why I'm back in New Zealand. I've come to hand over everything I know."

"I had a feeling it was you." He sighed. "I've been recieving emails about you since I got out. All of the information that's been released about you, I had a feeling it was Mina."

"You're not angry?" I asked hesitantly.

"No. I've released enough anger into the world to last five lifetimes." He smiled at me. I don't smile back.

James and I spoke more for a couple of hours. He seemed very remorseful and I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. He was once a great dad who had lost his job and with all the desperation, got into drugs and alcohol. My mum's death may not have been my his hands, but he may aswell have loaded the gun that shot her. He owed money and they decided to pay the debt off by murdering my mum. I could never forgive him for that.

"Have you visited your mother?" He asked.

"I did. Kris and I saw her yesterday." I smiled at him sadly.

"I know you'll never forgive me, but I don't want you to have left this house on bad tearms with me, I just want you to know that I'm so sorry."

"Being sorry won't bring her back and you're right, I'll never forgive you for ruining my life but at the same time if the path we have walked to get here was different, I wouldn't have met Tao. Or Kris." I told him. "It's sad, but I'm finally happy. I have that protective older sibling I always wanted Mina to be. I'm happy ... and one day, I hope you're happy too and that you can move on and truly show that you've changed." I told him. I grabbed my bag and stood up to leave.

"Will you send me a couple emails every now and then just letting me know how you're doing?" He asked me.

"Of course I will." I smiled sadly at him. He opened his arms for a hug and I hesitantly wanlked into it. I breathed in that familiar scent that he always had that again reminded me of my childhood from when he was the best dad ever. When we pulled apart I looked at him. The light brown hair and light brown eyes I got from him. He was only 43 but he looked 10 years older. "Mind if I grab something from my old room?" I ask.

"It's your stuff, Lucy." He smiled. I walked to my room and picked up my teddy bear that I cherished and forgot when I left. I was in such a rush that day that I forgot it. I also picked up a photo of my mum and I the year before she died. I put them both in my bag and told James goodbye before getting in my car and leaving. By then it was 11 and decided to take a drive to Kapiti. The beach was beautiful. Despite the cold air this morning, it had warmed and not it was a nice sunny day. Children have picnics with their parents. Teenagers with their friends and boyfriends.

"Luciana Huang?" Someone called out. I turned around and saw a coupld of girls who looked arounf 13 and 14.

"Yes?" I asked. I have never seen them in my life.

"We're really big fans of EXO and were wondering if we could get your autograph!" The fangirled. I smiled and signed a notebook.

"We heard that you guys were in New Zealand. Oh my god, we're so luck to have bumped into you." One of them said. I laughed.

"And," The other began. "We don't care about your past. We know that if EXO still loves youf or you then you must be a really good person and we will stand by you."

"Thank you. That means so much." I replied. I searched through my phone and asked for their bluetooth. When I got it, I bluetoothed the couple photo of Luhan and Sehun that I took of them on the plane to them and then a funny pic of Kris and I. They told me their names were Amber and Jenny

"Are you and Kris dating?" Amber asked.

"Am I allowed to date Kris?" I asked.

"Of course!!" Jenny replied. "My bias is Sehun and Amber's is Chen."

"Well give me your twitter accounts and I'll make sure to get them to give you a shout out." I smiled. They fangirled and gave them over to me.

"You should do youtube vlogs." Amber suggested. "I'd watch them."

"I would too." Jenny smiled.

"Maybe." I replied. I said goodbye to the girls and headed back to Wellington. F(x)'s Airplane blasting on the radio. For the first time in a really long time, I felt free. Mina was being delt with and James and I cleared the air. I was actually free to create a fresh starte for myself.
