ChaeWon stopped laughing and asked again, "Seriously, why did you skip school today?"

YoungDo didn't want to answer the question. He didn't go to school since he went to see his father. His father was in his final trial today. Although the lawyers told him a thousand times that his father didn't want him to go, but he had to, no matter what. He just wanted to go and give his father some moral support. He didn't want his father to face this alone.

He didn't stay for the whole trial since he knew his father just wouldn't let him. He left before the trial started, after seeing his father.

He then went to see his mother since he didn't want to be alone. He needed some comfort from someone he could rely on.

YoungDo stayed at his mother's cafe for the whole day. He helped his mother at the cafe and had dinner with her. He felt lucky that he had his mother's support during this hard time while his father was in trial.

YoungDo never answered ChaeWon since he didn't want to talk about it. He didn't know what ChaeWon would think about him and he didn't want ChaeWon to feel sympathy for him either.
