I love you.

Kaiminzy.

Trees were swaying side to side and the constant wind got Minji shivering in her air conditioned lecture room. The nagging facilitater wasn't much of a help as Minji sunk further onto her seat. Holding the oversized jacket she had on and rest her head on the table. Her mind started to wander off as she stared into blank space. It was finally the last year of being in the university and having to officially have a job and work - she could already feel the excitement tingling in her body. And she was looking forward for nothing more then getting her degree. Finally able to complete her task and achieved what she wanted.

It was the first semester of the year and she promised herself the year before to change and be a better person. A cheerful one and the Minji everyone knew her as. The past year was horrendous for her. She was always so dull, she skipped lectures and tutorials. She skipped meals and barely talked to anyone. Her dark circles were getting obvious day by day and everyone was just looking at her differently. She was constantly tired and lazy to complete reports and essays. With what happened with Jongin, she couldn't get it off her mind. Considering he seemed happy when she sees him at school, it fustrates her because it seemed like the fight or the breakup didn't bother him at all while she's there - suffering day and night. But today, the start of the new semester, she thought that there was no point in thinking and making a big fuss about it anymore. Just one more year and she won't see him.

But still... there was no doubt she is still completely, madly in love with Kim Jongin.

The bell rang soon and the last lecture of the day was finally done. She had plans with the girls and was excited about it. Due to her lack of interest and 'depression the past year and also a few months back, she hadn't been able to spent quality time with her bestfriends. Minji walked down to the main exit door when her facy stopped her.

"Minji." Seunghoon called out and Minji walked towards the teachers table.

"Yes Mr Seunghoon?"

"I'm calling you here regarding your essay and report you handed in."

Minji bit her lips, ready for a negative comment as her head hung low.

"I have to say it was amazing."

Minji's eyes lit up as she looked at him with an expression he himself couldn't resist but laugh.

"N- no wait what? Are you serious?"

"Yes. I wonder how did you get such amazing ideas like this and im really proud of the result. But you handed in late. Thus, there will still be some deduction of marks."

Minji nodded absent mindly, thanking him as she walked out of the lecture room. Grinning at what happen earlier, she excited head out to meet the girls. On her way there, she bumped into someone. His book fell as Minji panic to quickly help him pick it up. The guy took some of the other books as he faced her to take the others that was in her hand.

"I'm sorr-" Minji froze. The person infront of her was someone she swear she never wanted to see ever again. But damn, he is incredibly hot and the change of his hairstyle and fashion sense yet again brought her melting.

"No.. it's fine. U-uhm hey," jongin raised his right hand and attempted a handshake with her. Surprisingly she took it as he smiled slightly.

Minji could still feel how warm his hand is. She smirked, 'as usual' she thought. And it never fails to make her tingle in delight but she knew she needed to stop all this and get back to reality. There was no way of getting back together with Jongin. He probably didn't want her anymore. She missed him so much and she could have break down by then but didn't luckily. Minji had to go. She knew he would be asking her out for a coffee to talk but she couldn't handle that. Even now, she felt like bursting into tears.

"Do you wanna-" Minji cut him off. "I have to go. See you around."

With that she walked passed him, their shoulders lightly banging onto one another as he bit his lips. He too felt horrible. He wanted to touch her, feel her, kiss her, be with her all day just like those times but.. there was no way she would forgive him. She probably didn't want him anymore.

                        -xxx-

"Hey what took you so long!" Chaerin frowned before she gently grabbed on Minji's wrist as they both rushed to the cinema entrance.

"Got caught up babe, sorry." She lied. When actually she was taking her time, she needed time to calm down after the encounter with her ex.

"It's alright. Your seat is D-12. Mines D-13. Bom and Dara is in already, lets go!"

They both struggled to reach their sit as the darkness wasn't helping and they had to go down steps before reaching their seats. Soon, they finally sat with the help of the other we girls whisper. It was the all new romance story which originally was from a book but now to a movie. It was the best of me by Nicholas Spark. And because Minji had been reading most of his books, she was glad and she knew this movie would make her feel better and forget about whatever that happened earlier.

"I'm gonna have a relationship like theirs." Bom said excitedly as she sipped on her caramel latte.

"Dream on cry baby," Chaerin said as she smudged some cream on Bom's nose.

"Ya! Come here!" Chaerin laughed as she tried avoiding Bom's revenge.

The four girls ended up breaking into bits of laughter as Minji tried to stop the girls from going further more.

"Girls oh my god! Stop!" Minji grabbed onto Bom's arms, preventing her from moving as they continued laughing.

"Minji?" A deep familiar voice called out the laughing lady as Minji turned around. Facing an incredibly stunning guy with his hair up as he stares at her.

"Sehun?" The other three girls finally calm down as they faced him as well.

"Who are you?" Chaerin asked, rather. straightforward in knowing who he was and Dara tapped on her shoulder to tell her that it was rude.

"Oh.. im Minji's friend in High School."

Minji's eyes widened as she felt her cheeks flush. They honestly weren't just..  friends..

"Yea. We know each other."

"Are you free? It's been quite sometime.. should we talk or something.. if you don't mind ofcourse." Sehun insist as he waited for her response.

"Look, I really dont mind but I'm with my friends -"

"Go." Dara said, as she pushed her lightly on her shoulder.

"What?"

"Just go Minji. We'll come over later alright!" Chaerin said as she winked.

Minji's eyes darted back to Sehun as he raised his brows, handing out his right hand for her to take it. Minji looked at her friends once again before she took the guys hand and the two friends took their leave.

"You look different." Minji faced him and laughed, rolling her eyes.

"You're still the same Oh Sehun. Still skinny and your face looks like a burrito."

"What? That isn't even close." Sehun glared at her as she laughed harder.

"I'm kidding. But really though, you're still sensitive. Can't lie you've grown into such an attractive men."

Minji saw the guy flushed a little as she chuckled. They both settled at a nearby park, not planning for a drink since they already had one and just went straight to talk about what has been going on in their life. There was no doubt she hate him to the core. He had done so many things to her back in high school but nonetheless, gets his way with her. This guy had been crushing on her for years but there she was ignoring him every single second of the day and ended up friendzoning him. But somewhere during senior high, they got together for a few months and things just didn't work out. Fortunately, it was already time to go on their separate ways so since then, they've never heard of each other anymore.

"No you must be kidding!" They both broke into bits of laughter as Sehun talked about the girl they both used to pick on. He

apparently saw her at a mall and the hatred was still there when she faced him but right at that moment, she slipped and fell. She is indeed very beautiful but had always love to look down on the people she thinks is not her standards. That urks both of them so much.

"Anyway.. I heard you were with Jongin." Sehun asked suddenly.

"Uhm, yea but we broke up."

"Oh.." Sehun faced her, searching for her expression. "When? And how long were you guys together?"

"Two years ago. Pretty long, about a year, nearing two years. But seemed like it wasn't meant to be." Minji looked down. Remembering the encounter and the memories they shared together.

"Okay then. Let's not go further in this ball head. It's kinda late now, I'll send you home."

"Woah, bimbo Sehun has a car now I see." Minji teased.

"No. I brought a helicopter. Let's go, I can feel the wind already."

Minji laughed at his sarcastic comment as they head to his black car - parked at a very hollow carpark near the park.

"We're here!" Sehun cried out unnecessarily making Minji shake her head in annoyance.

"I can see idiot." She continued. "Anyways, it was really nice meeting you. Though we would never meet again." She joked.

They both exchanged numbers and she was ready to go out until he said something.

"You know they say it's fate. And in the movies this is the time the guy and girl kiss."

Minji pushed him lightly on his forehead and raised her hand, acting as if she was gonna slap him before she went out. Mumbling a 'pabo'. "Kiss yourself."

He was exhausted. From extra lessons, to dance practice to studying again. Today was a long day. But jongin thought maybe it was great and beneficial. He needed to think. Ease his mind, ease the burning sensation he often is feeling nowadays. He couldnt stop thinking about Minji. That day. That day was his fault. Everything. He messed up and he couldn't let go the fact of not being able to settle it with her. Having it left hanging just like that made him feel so terrible about himself. All day he thought about heading over to her apartment. He hesitated a lot but he disires to settle whatever that was needed with her. The were away for a ye as and a half and there was no doubt he was going insane. Finally, he decided on surprising her. He still held on to her apartment key and was planning on to appear in her apartment somehow. It was creepy but he was indeed out of his mind. Here he is, getting out of his car, unlocking it as he walked towards the lobby. He walked through the silent road and stopped when he heard the sound of someone closing the car door. Just then he turned, facing the lady going out of the car. His eyes cringe due to the sudden light as he moved to give way to the driving car. His eyes widened once he saw a familiar figure, he was sure it was Minji but was wishing it wasn't. What he saw just now wasn't pleasant at all. He strolled towards the girl as he got closer.

"Min..ji?" He asked softly, embarrassed if would he get the wrong person but he was hoping it wasn't her.

Just then the girl faced him. Eyes as wide as his."J-jongin? What are you.."

They both were siting awkwardly next to each other. As the the juice was left on the table, both has no intention on taking a sip of it. He had so many questions running through his mind. Everything he practiced was gone. But curiosity sparked him more about the guy she met just now.

"Who's that guy?" He asked softly but enough for her to hear.

"A friend."

"You guys dating?"

"Told you he was a FRIEND."

"But you guys could go further."

"So?"

"I don't want that."

"Why do you care."

Then it got silent. Jongin stopped talking as he looked away from her. Minji on the other hand was anxious of his answer. Expecting something to spark her and make her feel satisfied. She waited. A few minutes passed by yet he still hasn't said anything. Minji sighed, thinking that wouldn't happen.

"Because I love you." Jackpot!

And it did. The answer she thought about slipped out of his mouth just like that. But there was no way she was going to bring him back in just like that. No matter how desperate she is for this again, she didn't wanna get hurt all over again. Get into such stupid fights again. Be dull and alone for long periods again. She had to push him away. Test him. See if he waits for her. See if he is still willing to make her trust him. Minji felt horrible but she needed to do this nonetheless. Trust doesn't exist anymore for her. That meaning of that word is dead.

"Get out." She blurted out.

"What?"

"I said get out."

Minji tugged on his arm and pulled him up. Pulling him towards the door as she pulled it open. "It was nice talking to you. Goodnight, drive safely."

She pushed him out gently and was ready to close it until he slammed it open again.

"You're just gonna push me away like that?" Jongin asked, nearing the girl.

"Yes."

"Are you sure?" He leaned closer.

"Yes."

Jongin took a step closer,  towering her as he leaned in nearer."alright," He whispered as he stepped back. Giving her a grin as he closed the door.

Minji stood there. Dumbfounded. One minute he's being shy, and then he's being all possessive and then he goes all seductive and then he turns into cheeky Jongin. Minji ruffled her hair as she sat down, leaning against the door.

"Jongin. I can't trust you if you dont show me. Please do, I need you but I'm scared.."

For the past few weeks, Minji had been spending her time with Sehun. It was great to be able to talk and meet him again but whenever he gets affectionate, it made her feel incredibly uncomfortable. He's a friend, nothing more but it was clear he was slowly taking a step further each time they talk and meet each other.

Jongin was out with the clique as usual. Hanging out as they planned for a movie. Indeed it wasn't really a good time. It was in the afternoon and as the guys were buying the popcorn, Minji and Sehun was heading to the counter to buy the tickets. They both bought it with ease, since it was on a weekday and the cinema seemed empty. The went towards the food counter next, oblivious with the surrounding until she bumped into someone's back as she immediately apologize. Facing the assumed to be a stranger, she froze. It was Suho and if Suho is here.. Jongin must be here too. Minji bowed, greeting the others as well. Hoping there was time to run away, she avoiding them fast until she heard an all too familliar voice. Groaning she pulled Sehun along but stopped when she felt eyes on her. There was no way of running away now. She faced burning eyes, glaring down on her as he raises his neat eyebrow. Minji bit her lip, bowing slightly as she tugged on Sehun once more. It all got more heated up when Sehun slipped his hand down on her hers, interwining them. Her eyes widened as she stared at him. He gave jongin a smug smile as he pulled her towards the entrance of theater.

"Don't you think you're being too much?" She said weakly with a hint of pain in her voice as she left him standing there -confused and guilty.

There was no such thing as enjoying a movie at that point of time. With sehun next to her and Jongin at the back, she just wanted to run away. It took every ounce of patient for Jongin to not punch sehun in the face when he deliberately wrapped his arms around Minji and drapped his arm over her shoulder.

"Hey.. Minji, hear me out." Sehun called Minji but she continued ignoring him.

"Gong Minji." He grabbed her arm this time, pushing her towards the beautifully painted white walls.

It was a quiet atmosphere, considering it's already about eight at night and the place they are walking at is right behind the mall. It was dark and hollow. Practically, there was no one at sight. Minji struggled out of his grip but fails at every try. He was too strong.

"You're gonna forgive me right babe?" He leaned closer, whispering as he bit her earlobe.

"Sehun. Stop!" She cried out as she pushed h harder. In the meanwhile, grabbing her hips as harshly push her against the wall again.

"Don't move baby. This body is making me crazy," He continued his assault, moving closer to her face, she knew by then they were going to kiss and she struggled harder.

"No please.. Sehun.. "

"Minji-"

"I believe I heard the lady saying no."

They both stopped moving, their attention straight to the guy next to them. Sehun was pushed away and got punched right on his face seconds later. Blood formed at the corner of his lips as wiped it off with the back of his hand. It was Jongin.. how did he know she was here? Minji bit her lips as Jongin slipped his hands in her fragile ones and held her tightly.

"I'm telling you this once and that is all. Don't come near her ever again." With that, Jongin pulled the helpless girl. Ignoring her pleas to let her go as he continued dragging to her to where his car was parked.

"Are you dumb?" He scolded her immediately, hand still tightly gripped on hers.

Minji frowned, taken back by his sudden outburst. But stayed calm nonetheless. "I'm really tired and there's school tomorrow." Gently pushing his hand off her, she turned to walk away. A sudden feeling of guilt gush through her entire being. She shouldn't possibly walk away without thanking him.

She turned around, staring into a pair of eyes which hadn't left as he was still looking at her. "Thank you Jongin.. i appreciate it. Uh.. I guess i'll see you around then."

"I'll take you home. It's cold, I don't want you getting sick." He insisted.

"I'll be fine Jongin. It's okay."

"But it's not to me, let's go."

Once again he tugged on her wrist, pulling her gently as he opened the car door for her. He then moved to the driver seat, closing the door as he leaned towards her; helping to fasten the seat belt. He froze when she she let out a sudden yelp when he applied pressure on her waist accidentally.

"What's wrong?" He asked, holding her hand out of habit. He does that all time - especially when he's worried about her. Minji smiled slightly that he still does that until the pain strikes her again. She held onto her waist unconsciously groaning at the burning sensation she was feeling. Jongin unfastened the belt, pulling her gently towards him and carried her onto his lap.

"J-jongin.." she stuttered at the sudden act he did.

Jongin only hushed her as he lightly tugged out her silky pink blouse from her jeans as he lifted it up. Minji squirmed. It has been two years since he last touched her that way, feel her, see her. She mumbled out his name again, hoping that would make him stop but he continued rubbing on the bruise. His gaze grew intense and Minji knew he was mad. Jongin's eyebrows creased as he stared at her.

"He did this?" He asked softly, his voice calm but she knew that was when he waa most dangerous.

"I-" Minji stuttered. "I don't know.. I guess he pushed me too hard just now."

His frown got deeper, his tears threatening to fall. What if he wasn't there? What if she got hurt? Why don't she take good car of herself? Minji bit her lips, she was feeling guilty but confused. Still not understanding why he was reacting that way.

"You told me you'll take good care of yourself.. what is this.. Minji what if I wasn't there! What would have happen to you! You'll probably be or something and it if I couldn't do anything. You can not accept me back but at least be with a decent guy idiot!" He finally let go as tears fell.

Minji stared at him wide eyed. Siting on his lap helplessly. She gently caressed his cheek, wiping off the tears and pulled him into a hug. Maybe that was what he needed at this point of time. A hug, from her. To be with her. He sniffed as he leaned against her shoulder, grabbing her tightly and rubbed his thumb gently on the bruise.

"Please don't get hurt.. I love you so much.." he whispered shakily.

"I won't Jongin.. i promise.." she replied just as shakily. She was about to reply to the love confession but closed again.

She couldn't bring herself to say it.

            -xxxxxx-

"So you guys are back together?" Chaerin asked, in conclusion of whatever Minji told her about the day before.

"I mean.." Minji sighed. "God! I don't know. He's so confusing like he tells me he loves me but I saw him today and the girls were running after him and smiled to them but I don't know if he saw me because he didn't  smile! Like who does he think he is huh telling me he loves me but does nothing! Aish! I'm so mad but im so in love but I can't do anything like what doe-"

Minji stopped when Chaerin started giggling as she cut her off.

"What?" She asked.

"Continue to talk so much. Damn, even my grandmother don't do that. See you later!" Chaerin walked away, still laughing.

"What is wrong with her today?" Minji scoffed as she pouted.

She faced her locked again, locking and turned to walk to class but ended up falling; landing first. She groaned as she faced the culprit.

"Can you please stop doing that!" Minji scolded him as he laughed, helping her up.

"Sorry, it was nice eavesdropping at what you had to say about me. Very interesting,"

He replied, chuckling.

"Shut up." Minji pushed him away only to be pulled back as he pin her against the locker.

"Those girls don't matter. I need you to know that. No matter what it is, these pair of eyes is always on you. So dont think otherwise. I really love you." Jongin eyed her right in the eyes as she bit her lips.

"I-" "Yea okay." She gave him a simple answer, making him raise his eyebrows. Waiting for her to tell him what he wanted to hear. Still anticipating it, she knew he wouldn't let her go until she confessed as well. She rolled her eyes, letting out a fake sigh.

"Fine. I love you too Jongin, a lot."

Jongin had a cheeky grin plastered on his face he leaned in, planning on pecking her on her lips but they ended up making out when she pulled gently on his hair, deepening the kiss.

The couple had lunch together as they gor more detailed on their feelings and also about the past year. Jongin also blurted out about the number of times he hesrd about guys trying to hit on  her and also the ones who were obviously staring at her while she walk along the corridor.

"Oh that!" She chuckled. "They're pretty cute though."

Jongin's eyes widened. "Ya!"
