Every nerve of Hyemi's body tensed. Every kind of negative emotion riling up inside her, fear, anger. She hid behind Kai's back as she cleched the hem of his shirt.

Kai noticed the sudden change in Hyemi. He turned around and faced her. "Hey, you okay?" he asked.

Hyemi gulped. "I'm suddenly not feeling too well..." Hyemi weakly replied. 

"Hey," Kai held Hyemi's chin and tilted it up, locking eyes with her. "You're going to be fine. They're going to absolutely love you." His smirk appeared again. "I just know it. You're perfect."

Desperate, Hyemi wanted to tell Kai that she didn't want to go there. She doesn't want to see her father and she doesn't want him to see her too. To think Kai's parents were friends with her father... She should've known. how stupid can she get? Kai's and Krystal's parents are very well known business men. Of course, they'd be associated with her father. Hyemi felt like there's a lump blocking . She felt frustrated. Not knowing what to do, she bent her head down as she stared at the ground. Looking up again, she forced a confident smile and exhaled out a deep breath. "Okay, let's go," she said as she gripped Kai's hand.

"Umma, appa!" Kai beamed. 

"Ah! Jongin!" She greeted him with a hug and couldn't help but notice the beautiful lady beside her son.

Hyemi was standing beside Kai as she held his hand. She was very well aware that her father is standing one metre away from her and can see her at full view. However, she tried to ignore his presence, not wanting to speak to him. She just crossed her fingers in hope that he wouldn't reveal her identity.

"Who might this beautiful lady be?" Kai's mother asked as she smiled at Hyemi.

With absolute elegance, Hyemi bowed, her hand covering her chest. "Hello Mrs. Kim, my name's Lee Hyemi."

Kai was astounded at how perfectly Hyemi greeted herself. It may not look much but her actions are what a rich heiress would have, polished and polite. He couldn't help to smile proudly as he saw a hint of satisfication within his mother's face. "Umma, I know this seems out of the blue but," Kai pulled Hyemi by her waist and held her beside him. "Hyemi is my girlfriend and I wish you and appa to accept her."

Hyemi gulped in nervousness. However, she continued to force out a smile. Trying her best to look perfect infront of Kai's parents.

"Girlfriend?!" Kai's parents both said in unison, followed by Hyemi's father.

"Yes, do you approve of her?" Kai asked warily.

Kai's parents exchanged looks before nodding and looking back at the fake couple. "Of course we do Jongin, it's good for you to have found a beautiful girlfriend," Kai's mother said gently. "You have our full support dear." She held Hyemi's hand as she smiled sincerely at her. "Be sure to make him happy."

With a polite smile and a nod, Hyemi placed her hand on Kai's arm. "I will try my best Mrs. Kim."

"Well then, after that, why don't we all find ourselves a table?" She beamed. "Ah! Pardon me, I have forgotten to introduce Mr. Lee.  Jongin, Hyemi-sshi, this is Mr. Lee Hyunsoo, CEO of LeeTech corp. Also, he's a very good friend of ours."

Hyemi's heart suddenly started to race as she forced a stiff smile and bowed.

"Hello there Jongin-shhi," he greeted. "It's very good to meet you." He turned to Hyemi and gave a sinister smile. "Miss Hyemi-shhi, it's a pleasure to meet you." He held out a hand.
