LUHAN’S POV

Day of the competition. 8:00 AM

“Yah Luhan wake up, we gotta go to the salon before the competition.” someone shook me.

I swatted at them, hoping they would go away, “UGHHH!”

“LUHAN GET UP!” someone else came in and yelled.

“Fine I’m up!” I shouted. I opened my eyes to see our manager and Kris in my room. I got up and went to the bathroom to get ready, regardless if it was occupied or not. I barged open the door to hear Sehun singing in the shower.

“SEHUN SHUT UP!” I yelled at him, annoyed.

“AHH!” He screamed like a girl and peaked out from behind the shower curtain.

“Hyung at least knock so I know you’re coming in!” he whined.

“Yea yea yea whatever.” I took my bathroom break and went to brush my teeth. This is going to be a long day.

-2 hours later-

I was sitting in front of my stylist, and she was dying my hair again like my manager told her to. After 30 minutes, she finished applying the hair color and put me under the heat lamp. I looked around to see who else was here. I saw a girl getting her hair cut and dyed a couple chairs away. I was only able to see her side profile until she turned towards me, looking at her friends. It was the same girl I saw the other day at the cafe. She looked alarmed, but then she saw her friends also dying their hair and she settled down. I chuckled silently. Cute.

After the timer went off, I had to go wash my hair, and I saw that she dozed off under the heat lamp. I smiled at the scene before following the stylist to the sinks. I got my hair washed and she dried my hair, which was now a pinkish orange color. She brushed the front upwards and gelled it in place. She was finishing the final touches and was finally done after 2 hours. I looked at my phone and it was already noon. The whole salon was already empty, even the girl I saw earlier left already. I shrugged as we all walked into the lobby to wait for our manager to come pick us up. I saw the girl again, and she looked way different from before. Her black hair was now brown with red and blonde at the bottom. It looked like it was on fire and she had her bangs cut down and dyed to a platinum blonde. I didn’t realize I was staring at her beauty until Sehun shook my arm.

“Hyung what are you look at?” He followed my gaze and saw that I was staring at her.

“Wahh she’s pretty hyung. Do you think she’ll be at the competition later? They look like they’re in a group.”

I hope so. “Maybe.”

The car came and we all filed in. The driver started driving and we arrived back at home to change and get out makeup done. It was almost time to leave when everyone was finished and had the time to stuff something down their stomachs. The 12 of us hopped in the van and we headed off.

We arrived and was quickly rushed backstage to get out mics on so we can introduce ourselves.

“WE ARE ONE! Annyeonghaseyo EXO-imnida!” the fans cheered loudly, screaming and shouting our names. We took a seat at the judging table and the competition started. Every group was about the same, only dancing. None of them seemed to stand out to us. But then the last group came on, with a combination of singing, rapping, and dancing. They seemed like a professional group already. It was the group we saw earlier at the salon. I unconsciously started to stare at the girl I’ve seen so many times since I’ve been here in LA. She caught me staring at her during the song and she winked at me. I felt my cheeks heat up a little. She’s too cute. After they bowed and went off stage, we looked at each other and already knew who the winner was.  We have them come back on stage to ask a few questions before settling on the final decision.

“Generation of Aces, would you please step back out on stage.” They newcously shuffled on stage, forming a line in front of us.

“As surprised, you blew us away with your performance, and EXO has a couple questions for you guys.” Mr. Lee passed the mic to Suho first.

“This song is very interesting, and I like it a lot. Did you make this song yourself?”

I saw a girl with red hair walk on stage holding a mic.

“Hello, my name is Tiffany. I will be answering their questions for them.” Their manager maybe?

“That’s perfectly fine. Please continue.”

“This song was indeed created by us, and it was put together by our maknae, Suhan. It was a mashup of the original songs ‘Rose’ by Leehi, and ‘Missing You’ by G-Dragon, with the rap by CL from a live performance.” I saw the Suhan girl bow. Woah she made this song? That’s pretty cool.

“Very nice. Thank you.” Suho smiled before passing the mic on to the next person, Kris.

“Since you’re all up here now, why don’t you introduce yourselves with your real name, and then your stage name?” I would love to know her name.

They all bowed before introducing themselves.

“Hello my name is Choi Taekyung, and I just go by Taekyung.”

“Hello, my name is Kim Minjoon, and I just go by Minjoon.”

“My name is Kim Kyomin, and I just also go by my first name, Kyomin.”

“My name is Yang Soonmi, but I go by Angel.”

“Hello, my name is Lee Eunmi, but I go by Suhan.” So it was the girl Kris met earlier this week. Eunmi? Even her name is cute. Suhan sounds like my name too. Hehe. I was looking at her when she looked down at the panel of judges and made eye contact with me. I felt sparks and suddenly felt really happy. What is this?

“Thank you for introducing yourselves.” Kris passed me the mic. What was my question again?!

I thought about it for a bit before asking,  “I saw you guys had something written on the shirts and hats. Would you mind telling me what they are and what they mean?” Pabo I should’ve asked something better.

“First off, on the back on their shirts, they have their group ‘spirits’ in small writing, and then their birth year in bigger letters below it. On their hats, again just say the same thing, but instead of the numbers, it says ‘Generation of Aces’ instead.” Ooh that’s nice. I wonder what Eunmi’s animal will be.

They stepped out one by one as Tiffany explained their spirits.

“Taekyung’s spirit is a Tiger. He is the main protector of our family, and can be very mean or very sweet.”

“Minjoon’s spirit is a Lion. He is right behind the Tiger in protecting our family. His personality is just as bipolar as Mr. Tiger here.”

“Kyomin’s spirit is a Rabbit.She may be small, but she’s fast, resembling how fast of a thinker she is.”

“Angel’s spirit is Dolphin. She has sensitive hearing, but a tough heart, resembling how she has a sensitive self, but tough personality.”

“I actually printed two different things on Suhan’s shirt and hat.” Huh?

“On her jersey, I printed her spirit, Deer.” I was unconsciously smiling when I looked towards Eunmi and saw her smiling back at me. Oh god why is she so cute?

“Being the youngest of this group, she is the most sensitive inside, and is the weakest on the outside, just like a deer. On her hat I printed Guardian Angel. Just because she’s the most sensitive and is the weakest, she’s never afraid to stand up for her family and protect them with her own life, just like a Guardian Angel.” The description fit her just like a missing puzzle piece. I saw her hold back tears, and I fought back the urge to cry too. Guardian Angel huh?

I passed the mic on after she finished and we all asked questions, and Tiffany answered all of them smoothly and quickly. The 12 of us looked at each other and nodded. Then Suho whispered our choice to Mr. Lee and he smiled, agreeing to our decision. He stood up and went up on stage.

“We had a very interesting competition this year, and it was quite the show. I bring you the results by our judges.” Everyone was standing on stage now.

“AND THE WINNERS OF THE 2014 SM GLOBAL COMPETITION ARE...” They were holding each others hands, praying for their victory.

“GENERATION OF ACES! Congratulations you are our 2014 SM Global Competition winners! The 5 of you will be signed under SM Entertainment as our new trainees!”

Eunmi was no longer trying to hold back her tears. She was sobbing and hugging her friends. Everyone else left the stage and EXO went up to congratulate them. We talked to each one of them before Mr. Lee took them away to talk about the contracts. So I get to see her everyday now?

LUHAN’S POV
