A War Begins
My Life is a Disney Movie“I can only remember bits and pieces of it.” Min Ki said in disappointment as he wrote out what a few words meant on a piece of paper.
“Thirteenth, power, different, final, death.” I muttered.
“Well, that helped a lot.” Jong Dae grumbled and I shot him a look. “Hey, Min Ki still did what we couldn’t have done. Translate a fragment of this.” Jong Dae sighed and nodded.
“I think we should call it a night. It’s been a long day and we’ve done what we can.” Kris announced and we agreed.
Indeed, it had been a long day. I was tired as heck and confused as well. I was ready to curl up in my bed and fall asleep. I glanced at Min Ki but he wasn’t there. I scrunched my eyebrows in concern and surveyed the entire room. He wasn’t around.
Weird… I thought. “Eun Mi, come on, let’s head to your room. I have first watch with Se Hun.” Min Seok smiled warmly at me. I stared at him blankly. “What?”
“We’ve decided to watch over your room just in case.” He explained.
“Oh, I told you guys that I can handle myself.” I shook my head stubbornly but he shot me a look. “Eun Mi.” I sighed, knowing that I had no say in this. “Fine…” I relented and trudged upstairs with Min Seok and Se Hun on my tail.
Ren’s POV
I can do this. I bit my lip nervously. I sighed, standing outside the dark metal door. I had to do this for Eun Mi noona and the rest of the hyungs.
I slid my hand out of my pocket and pressed it against the door. Green light shone from the door and the metal door moved aside. I stepped inside and descended along a dark stairwell. My insides were turning and tossing nervously. I heaved a sigh of anxiety and reached the end of the stairs.
I walked along eerie arched hallways and onyx metal doors. I used not to have such disgust for this place. I was always accustomed to it and its haunted feeling. I didn’t mind it until now. A little sound or creak of a door got me jumping and wary. The aura was different. Something in the air told me that something was about to happen.
Despite that feeling, I continued down the hallway with mixed emotions. I pushed my anxiety aside and steeled my resolve. I only needed one thing here. And it was through that door. I stopped outside the large metal doors of the laboratory. I glanced around warily and carefully pressed my hand against the door.
Green light flickered around my hand and a small click could be heard. The door was unlocked. I pushed the door open slightly and peeked inside cautiously. I let out a sigh of relief. He wasn’t in here.
I slipped inside and made my way over to a steel cabinet. I carefully pulled open one drawer and searched through yellow folders for the information I needed. I wasn’t supposed to be in here or looking at such confidential stuff but I didn’t care at the moment. The fear of getting caught was long gone and replaced with the frantic need to find what I needed.
Ah, there it is! I grinned in delight once I found what I needed. I pulled it out of the cabinet and flipped it open. I hastily searched for the piece of paper in my pocket. I managed to find it and quickly opened it up and started translating.
Alright, this is…what? It’s not possible. I thought in panic. I retranslated it once more and realized that I was not dreaming. I closed the file and placed it back in the cabinet once more. I stuffed the paper back in my pocket. I calmly made my way to the exit but suddenly the door locked and my eyes widened.
I rushed to the door and pressed my palm against it but nothing happened. “!” I cursed and banged my fist against the door.
“What are you doing here?” A familiar monotonous voice came from behind me and I turned around with shocked eyes.
“B-B-Baek Ho hyung?” The next thing I knew, I saw black and I fell to the floor unconscious.
Eun Mi’s POV
Thunder clashed outside and I glanced at the window. It seems like it’s going to rain tonight. I thought wistfully. Just as I had thought that, raindrops started to pitter patter on the window glass.
I sighed, snuggling into my covers and letting sleep engulf me. I was having trouble sleeping because I was worried for tomorrow, for Min Ki, and my mates. What would happen tomorrow? What did Aron’s threat mean?
I heard shuffling outside my door and smiled. It was another shift change. Those adorable wolves of mine. I giggled silently. Alright, time to go to sleep. I thought, feeling the fatigue from today overwhelm me.
I was in a deep sleep when I felt something or someone in my room. Thinking it was one of my mates, I didn’t think much of it. It was weird though. The rain sounded clearer and when the thunder clashed again outside, it was louder. I don’t recall opening a window. I thought in confusion. I slowly opened my eyes and glanced up just to meet eyes with a person I did not expect to meet.
My eyes widened and immediately I moved to retaliate but I couldn’t feel my limbs. I couldn
