“So how did you guys manage to find this place again?” I asked in curiosity. We sat around the table while eating our dinner and chatting along with one another. For once, B.A.P and EXO weren’t going at each other like old grannies.

“We didn’t think we would be able to find it again. It was actually a coincidence. We thought of having it in the garden but Se Hun accidentally stepped on the stone again and caused the cave to open.” Su Ho explained.

“But the interesting thing is that whenever I return to that exact spot, I can never find the button no matter how many times I try to step on it.” Se Hun mused. I nodded in understanding and turned to Jong Dae.

“Hey, oppa, do you have your camera right now?” He looked surprised but showed me his camera anyway.

“Yeah, I do.”

“Good, I need to use it for a moment. May I?” I gestured for the camera and he gave it me without a second thought.

“Okay, what do you need it for?” He questioned as I rose from my seat.

“Just something…” I didn’t want to tell them about the markings on the wall just yet. I had a feeling about it but I don’t know what.

“Where are you going?” Kris asked with a cocked eyebrow.

“Into the cave, I want to see the crystals again.” I made up an excuse and turned to leave.

“Wait, I’m coming with you.” Jong In wiped his mouth and rose from his seat as well.

I guess one wolf wouldn’t hurt.

“Alright, come on.” I began walking away from the table and towards the cave entrance. Jong In caught up to me in no time.

“You want to see the crystals?” He questioned from my side and I shook my head, deciding to tell him about the marks.

“No, you’ll see.” I answered back and I could feel his confusion next to me. We entered the cave and I led him further into it. The blue light from the crystals were growing stronger and I could see the blue marking on the wall again.

“Woah…” Jong In gasped in awe as he saw the wall.

“Didn’t you guys see it when you first ventured into the cave?” I asked, turning on the camera.

“Nope, the first time was because we were frantic about you but the second time…we didn’t catch this. I guess we were too occupied with your party that we just brushed it off as scribbles on the wall.” He murmured in amazement. I began snapping pictures of each ancient writings.

“When the deer led me through this cave, it caught my eye instantly. What was interesting though about these markings is that they’re ancient writings.” I remarked.

“Ancient writings?”

“Yup, ancient Vampiric, ancient Lycanthropic, ancient Elvish, ancient Faerie, ancient Werecat, ancient Enochian (angels and demons), ancient Goblin, ancient Mermish, and the ancient language of the nine-tailed foxes, all of these are there; basically, the main races of the mythical world.” I explained.

“Can you read any of them?”

“I can but only one. Ever since I was young, I was taught to read ancient Vampiric. I hated it but it didn’t go to waste when I first encountered this.”

“Wow, I can’t read any of them.” That made me shoot up in surprise. I glanced at him in disbelief and he glanced back defensively.

“You can’t read ancient Lycanthropic?” I stared at him in disbelief.

“What? I can’t. But I know someone who can.” He raised his arms in defeat.

“Who?” I returned to taking more photos of the ancient markings.

“The oldest of every pack family must learn how to read ancient Lycanthropic. It’s like a mandatory rule in every pack. Only the oldest member can read it. In our family, that’s Xiu Min hyung.” He bent down to study the ancient Lycanthropic skeptically.

“So, Min Seok oppa can and the rest of you can’t.” I surmised shortly.

“Correct, but we can choose to learn it if we wanted to.” He chuckled and I shook my head.

“But y’all are too lazy to do so.” I said flatly.

“Correct again.” He sang. I reached the end of the markings and stopped.

“What’s wrong?” I felt him move up by my side and casually sling an arm around me.

“These markings…do you know what they are?” I asked him, staring at the strange writing that had me perplexed ever since I saw them.

“Nope, but I know those markings.” He pointed to the drawing that the writing centered around.

“I know those too. The one right in the middle is my family’s royal symbol, Rosa, which means rose.” I carefully traced my symbol, watching it light up as I passed over it. A tingle ran down my spine and I shook away the strange feeling.

“The twelve symbols surrounding your family’s royal symbol are our royal symbols. As princes, we get our own symbols to represent us and they all correspond to our power.” He explained and I nodded, blindly touching the same symbol I touched on that day. I glowed and I felt Jong In shudder beside me.

“That’s my symbol.” He breathed out in wonder.

“You feel something don’t you?” I lifted my hand off the symbol and the glow died down.

“I do. It’s like the imprint but it’s different. This tingle runs down my spine and a warm feeling fills me. It’s like someone’s calling out to me.” He sighed and pulled me closer.

“And I think that’s why you guys found me that day. I touched your symbol and you felt it.” I connected it together.

“Do you think that if I did the same to the other symbols, the others will feel the same feeling as well?” I cocked my head in thought but I didn’t notice Jong In wrapping his arms around my waist.

“It will. But the symbol’s calling is different. It gives me an urge to be with you and it’s stronger than the imprint. I don’t know what it is but don’t you get this eerie feeling that this has something to do with us?” His question brought me back to reality and I turned to look at him when I realized that we were really close. My hands were on his shoulders and his arms were around my waist. Thank god the cave was a little bit dim so that he wouldn’t be able to spot my blushing face.

“Um, Jong In-”

“Sh, let me just hold you.” He lowered his head down slowly, his eyelids slowly fluttering close. My eyes were wide as I stared at his descending lips.

“EUN MI, KAI, IT’S CAKE TIME!” Chan Yeol suddenly appeared behind the wall and I jumped in shock. We pulled apart instantly and I faced Chan Yeol with a grin.

“Really, oh, I love cake!” I exclaimed and ran out of the cave instantly. But I manage to catch the change in Chan Yeol’s expression. His happy and cheerful mask fell for a moment just to direct a hateful glare at Jong In. I turned around for a moment only to see the guilty look in Jong In’s eyes.

Okay, I think it’s time to find out what’s wrong between Chan Yeol oppa and Jong In…

Next Morning…

After the party, it was getting late so we decided to end it for the day and return home. Secret and B.A.P went home together because I literally threatened B.A.P to take Secret home safely or else. EXO and I returned home and went to sleep. Yup, nothing interesting happened since everyone was so tired from the entire day. Thankfully, the school gave us a day off for tomorrow which means…SLEEPING IN! HELL YEAH!

Ahem…

Anyhow, I decided to put on my detective skills and find out what’s the problem between Chan Yeol oppa and Jong In. The thing is, in my entire experience and months of knowing EXO, they are literally like family and best friends. So it’s uncommon to find two brothers in a tense grid lock. I mean, they do have fights and brotherly brawls from time to time but in the end, they always get back together. But Chan Yeol oppa and Jong In are different.

With Chan Yeol oppa and Jong In, they always seem to be very tense around one another. If they were together with their brothers, they’re more relaxed but if they were alone, the tension is as thick and dense as metal. Chan Yeol oppa always seems to glare at Jong In and Jong In would always shoot an apologetic look at Chan Yeol oppa. And it seems to always revolve around me.

I woke up with a determined punch in the air. I was so ready to take this on. I washed up and dressed up. I wasn’t very meticulous with my fashion around EXO. I used to always think about what to wear in order to not look like a slob around them but in the end, I didn’t care since they didn’t seem to give a hoot when they’re around me. I’ve caught half of them wearing their boxers around the house with no shame. So, don’t tell me to dress to impress when they have no consideration at all.

Anyway, I left my room and began walking down the stairs towards the kitchen for breakfast. My strategy was to ask one of the other brothers. I know for a fact that Chan Yeol oppa would never tell me and Jong In would avoid the question. So, I planned to ask the others and hopefully they would know.
