Description
A little over 1299 years ago, during a time of poor cultivation and exceptional poverty in South Korea, a village sacrificed a young girl on the day she turned 18, drowning her beneath the murky waters of the village swamp which used to flourish with lotus blossoms, in hopes of bringing fortune and survival through this time of hardship. This young girl wasn't just any girl. She was the head villager's only daughter, Lee Sooyun, the only deemed worthy as a sacrifice with her purity, intelligence and wisdom despite her age. She is reborn into the divine world as a newborn angel. A little over 1299 years later in year 2013, Lee Sooyun is 17, sent to the mortal world to assist in the completion of her training to become a fully-fledged angel before she becomes of age. Failure to complete her training before that day will lead to detrimental consequences…
Jung Daehyun is a typical 17 year old Korean high school senior student attending a not-so-typical high school. TS High is well-known for being the only school in Seoul that is WITHOUT the usual presence of Kingkas and Queenkas (thank God) under popular support by students and staff. Despite that, Daehyun and his group of close-knit friends who call themselves B.A.P, managed to gather their own fair share of admirers.
What Daehyun did not expect was to start off his senior year with a strange girl sitting on his doorstep. Not just any girl, but an angel no less! What secrets lie beneath her divine visit to the human world, and what role does he play in her training? What Daehyun is about to find out is that life was suddenly going to become a lot more interesting (and troublesome) now that he's got an angel in his life!
Foreword
Hi! This is Mistlea here with my very first story! I am new to writing fanfics, so I hope you, my lovely readers, will be able to give me much guidance and feedback :D Yes, English is my first language but please forgive me for any mistakes I make :P This story is based on the symbolism of the lotus blossom, but other than that the story is from my imagination. I only own my story plot (so no copy copy thanks :p) and OC characters. I decided to use Western ages as to avoid much confusion. So, shall we get going with the story now?
"Hello, Miss, are you looking for someone?"
"Yes. Are you the owner of this house?"
Me? Why might she be looking for me?
"Erm, yes I am. How may I help you?"
With that, she smiled, a smile as bright as the sun and as beautiful as the lotus blossom in her hair that I was momentarily blinded. I was brought back to reality when she held out her hand.
"It's nice to meet the owner of this beautiful flower garden."
I held out my hand and shook hers.
"Thank you. It's nice to meet you too. I'm Jung Daehyun. And you are...?"
"Oh! Daehyun-ssi, please forgive me for forgetting my manners." She bowed and straightened up to introduce herself.
"I am Lee Sooyun, Angel of the Lotus Blossom," she smiled proudly.
I shot her a confused look. "W-what?"
"Well, technically I am an angel-in-training as I have yet to become a fully-fledged angel."
I gaped at her. What is this girl on about? Angel? Is she serious?! A girl her age joking around about stuff like this.
She seemed to be able to sense my thoughts and immediately pouted.
"I know what you're thinking. But I'm not pulling your leg because angels are real, and I am indeed an angel. Well, in training."
I narrowed my eyes at her, still not buying it, but I decided to go along with it to see what she had to say. "So, what business do you have here in the human world?" I couldn't help but to scoff inside as I said that.
She smiled that smile yet again. "I am here to complete my training to become a full angel."
She stopped and gave me a slightly mischievous look. I waited for her to continue.
"And I have decided that you, Daehyun-ssi, shall help me achieve that."
