Narrator

Minah walked in their Jeju office and found Minho and some of Kangsan’s employees talking.

“Director, we’ve surveyed the land under the chairman’s order. There’s nothing wrong with it except for a few cuts on the road. But we talked to the city’s mayor about it; it will be fixed in no time.

”That’s good to hear, please reschedule the meeting with the construction head then, since it can be done earlier.” Minah nodded before taking her seat.

“Rough flight?” Minho asked her as soon as they were alone.

“The turbulence was…odd.” Minah murmured as she took out her phone. Minho nodded and cleared his throat.

“Then, would you like to walk around the site?”

Minah considered it for a few seconds, and then she nodded.

Minah eyed the scenery before them. There were trees everywhere and as well as the mountain peak, which was visible from where she was standing.

“Uhm, Minah…may I ask where you finished your studies?”

“I graduated from Seoul University.” She nodded as she eyed a bunch of flowers, then she turned to Minho.

“How about you, Minho?”

Minho blinked, the way the sun’s light had hit her face, and it highlighted her warm eyes and beautiful lips. Minho snapped out of his revelry.

“Daehan. Daehan University.” He replied.

“I heard about Daehan. One of the top schools in Korea.”

 “Yeah, with Seoul University being the first.”

Minah shook her head and smiled, which took Minho off guard lightly. It was the first time he saw her smile that way.

“What about Hyojeong’s boyfriend, when did you meet him?”

“This feels like an interview.” Minah looked at him.

“Uhm. No, you really don’t have to answer~”

“I met Kai when I was four, then we got along well.” She nodded.

Minah was about to step on one of the boulders, when she lost her footing. Minho pulled her elbow reflexively before she fell.

“Are you okay?” He asked. Minah smiled and nodded, and then she righted herself.

“Mentioning Kai can bring bad luck.” She shook her head.

“Thanks, anyway.” She smiled before walking again.

“Hyoejong’s…really happy with him.” Minho said.

“I know, Kai is too.”

Minho wasn’t sure, but he could hear a little reluctance in her tone.

“Minah-ssi, my company..is actually having a party tomorrow night. I was hoping if you could come.” Minho looked at her, inside he was slightly nervous.

“That sounds okay, I’ll be going. It will help the project as well.” Minah nodded coolly before setting off again.
 

“YA! WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?!”

Minah actually flinched and pulled her phone away from her ear.

“I’m at Jeju, what do you want?”

Minho bit back his smile, they were already at the private jet owned by his company.

“I need you in Seoul.”

“Why?”

They still had a few minute before the jet starts to taxi.

“Party!”

“Ever heard of girlfriend?” Minah hissed lowly.

Minho was talking to the flight attendant and his secretary.

“But it’s a company party.”

“Geuraesso?”

“You cold hearted human!”

“Kai!” She snapped.

“My parents are going to be there!”

Minah sighed.

“Fine, I’ll be landing in~”

“I know, an hour. I’ll have somebody to pick you up.”

“It’s fine. Manage Im prepared~”

“I’ll have somebody to pick you up.” Kai repeated.

Minah grunted and put down her phone.
