Back To You
Narrator
Hyojeong walked in her room and found a box on her desk.
She opened the box and found a Givenchy Pandora bag inside. She blinked at the purse and took it out from the box.
Then she found a note stuck on the lid.
It was from Kai.
I’m sorry. I’ll make it up to you when I come back. I’ll be in Japan for a week. –Kai
She smiled slightly and looked at the purse.
It was typical of Kai to do this.
Samsung’s private plan landed at Narita around twelve noon. Kai flexed his neck as he stood up from his seat. He threw the flight attendant a smile before calling for his secretary.
“Put Kang Minah on the phone for me.”
His secretary blinked.
Wasn’t he supposed to call Hyojeong first?
“Miss Kang?” He asked again.
“Who else?” Kai said over his shoulder as he stepped down.
His secretary took out his phone and immediately dialed.
Minah was in the middle of a corporate meeting with Sehun when her phone rang.
She stood up and excused herself.
“Kim Jongin.” She said exasperatedly.
“I just landed in Japan.”
“…Your point? I’m in a meeting, Kai.” She hissed.
“Just wanted to tell you that. You take care, Meens.”
“You too. Don’t skip meals.” She said before putting her phone down and walking back to the room.
She shook her head with a smile, Kai was always so weird.
Minho slammed the file on the desk.
“Delayed? Again?” He snapped, losing his usually calm demeanor.
The other executives in the room winced and hunched their shoulders.
“Sir, we’re terribly sorry but~”
“Director Choi, the president is on the phone.” His secretary stepped in. Minho exhaled and walked out of the room.
He got his cell phone from her and pressed the green icon.
“Ne, abeoji?”
“You’re mom’s been bothering me about this.”
“…What do you mean?”
“I’ll be sending you the address ”
Minho’s brows furrowed as he tried to process whatever his father was saying.
“Your mom set you up again.”
“Abeoji~”
“Don’t blame the messenger, son. Just show yourself there. Be a gentleman.”
Minho sighed.
Minah walked in her office and blinked.
“Eomma.”
Her mother smiled and gestured for her to sit.
Minah eyed her suspiciously.
“It’s been a while since I last saw my only daughter, what’s with the cold greeting?”
Minah smiled and kissed her mother’s cheek.
“What brings you here, eomma? I thought you were in Hokkaido.”
“Its nice to stay away from the cold sometimes, dear. Anyway, I have something to tell you.”
Minah nodded, slightly peeved.
“You are going to meet~”
“Please no, eomma. I’ve had~”
“Sure, don’t show yourself, the next time I’m going to ask your father to arrange with one of his friend’s sons.”
Minah closed .
“The last time you went on a blind date, the guy ended up with a broken nose, Kang Minah. I suggest you keep your temper at bay.”
Minah frowned.
“He was just so arrogant.”
“Honey, I want you to meet a man of our class, he has~”
“It’s not really my priority right now, eomma. I have a company to run.”
“Exactly why you need a man, Minah.”
“That’s ist, eomma.”
Mrs. Kang just rolled her eyes.
“Anyway, I left the address and the time to your secretary.”
“When is it?” Minah sighed.
“Tomorrow.” Her mother smiled and stood up.
“I need to go now, you better show yourself tomorrow, or else I’ll have you married in a week.”
Minah sighed and watched her mother as she left.
