chapter sixteen 

 victoria's ending

"Let's take a break." Hyoyeon stretched onto Victoria's couch. Sooyoung brouhgt ought food from her fridge.

"We should go to the cafe after this." Tiffany piped up as she grabbed a bottle of water from Seohyun.

"That's a perfect idea. It's Friday, so the jocks are gonna be there late tonight!" Yoona jumped up and down. Victoria grinned. She was glad to be a part of something.

"Let's just hope Byunghun doesn't bring that girl." Yoona scoffed and stared at her toenails. Apparently, she just got her pedicure done. Victoria bit down on her lip hard. She had dissed Luna today, but it hadn't been on purpose.

"I mean, did you see what he did when I asked him if they were together?!" Yoona stomped her foot on the ground hard. Yuri patted her on the back.

"And Amber! Ugh, the nerve!" Jessica's face redden. Victoria felt her heart stop. What on earth were her friends doing? Were they trying to ruin her high school life? This was unacceptable.

"What did she say to you?" Victoria slowly asked, but regretted asking right after.

"All that matters is that she's a rude ." Jessica spatted as Victoria winced. Amber couldn't have been that bad, could she?

After a couple of minutes of talking about people they hated, they decided to continue practice. They were throwing Taeyeon into the air until the bell rang. Victoria went to open the door as the others continued without her. When she opened the door, a small gasp escaped . She glanced back at the cheerleaders in her house and stepped out, shutting the door behind her.

"Hey Ambs!" Victoria mustered up a smile. She looked down and played with her fingers. Amber gave an awkward smile.

"Hey." She smiled and shoved her hands in her pocket and shuffled her feet around.

"What are you doing here?" Victoria chirped, although it sounded so fake. Amber shut one eye and raised her other eyebrow.

"We were suppose to go shopping today...remember...?" Amber gave another awkward smile. Victoria facepalmed herself.

"Oh my gosh! I totally forgot!" Victoria waved her hands around. How could she have forgotten?  Amber frowned.

The front door, which Victoria was leaning on suddenly opened. Victoria almsot fell backwards. She fluffed her uniform and looked to see who just opened the door. Victoria felt her stomache churning.

"We were wondering if you were coming in anytime soon." Yoona smiled, but as she turned to look at Amber, her smile turned upside down.

"I'm sorry." Victoria quickly stepping inside the house. "We'll go next week, I promise."

Right before Victoria shut the door in Amber's face, she took a glance at the cheerleaders inside and walked away shaking her head.
