Chapter 7
Sun-kissed: Part IIThat felt so good.
She could feel him kissing the sensitive spot on her neck, right underneath her ear. His nose grazed her cheek as he nibbled her earlobe gently. "Jagi..." he whispered. She moaned into the pillow.
Youngbae let out a muffled laugh as he brushed his mouth hotly against the side of her jaw. "I have to leave."
Amina slowly fluttered her eyelids open and could see little rays of sunlight peeping through the edges of the hotel's black-out curtains. She rolled onto her back and faced Youngbae, finding him hunched over with both of his fists planted on the side of the bed. He was fully dressed in his black dress pants and white t-shirt. His eyes caressed her face lovingly, memorizing every feature.
"So soon?" She puckered her eyebrows together.
"Neh." His mouth pulled up in a half-smile. He sat down on the bed facing her and anchored his right arm over her left side. He leaned over her torso. "I have a meeting this morning that I have to attend."
Amina nodded and motioned to get up.
He stopped her. "Go back to bed. It's only seven. You need your sleep after last night." He watched as she shyly lowered her gaze. The sight amused him. Youngbae gently cupped her cheek and let his fingers trail down along the side of her neck. "I know I'm still tired..."
She looked up with her luminous bedroom eyes and whispered, "Maybe you should stay then."
Youngbae swallowed. "Don't tempt me."
She stared him down. "You can be late."
He bit back a grin and tried for a serious tone. "I'm never late."
"Hmm," Amina said. She took her hands and gently tugged at the waistband of his trousers, un-popping his button. She dipped her fingers inside and taunted him with a soft caress. "That's too bad." She raised her eyes and met his hot gaze. Her lips parted as his mouth came crashing down upon hers.
He was late.
Youngbae parked his car in the private lot of the dormitory and exited his vehicle right as he spotted his other band mates come out of the building. He knew they were eyeing him from head to toe as he headed towards them. His black dress pants were somewhat still respectable, but his t-shirt was rumpled beyond repair and the white dress-shirt he wore over it was left open ed, making him appear sloppier than usual. He had his snapback on, which at least hid the damages that Amina did when she ran her fingers through his hair. For the first time in his life, Youngbae was experiencing the walk of shame. And it felt damn good.
He self-consciously rubbed the back of his fist over the light stubble on his jaw as he walked past Daesung.
"Morning hyung," Daesung half-bowed, his eyes crinkling humorously as he took in Youngbae's appearance. "Should I save you a seat?"
"Ah," Youngbae paused, a blush starting to creep up his neck. "Sure... I'll be there in about twenty minutes."
Seunghyun came out followed by Seungri.
"This isn't right..." grumbled Seunghyun, spotting Youngbae immediately. "If I have to wake up for a meeting at 8 o'clock sharp, that means 'everyone'..." He circled his finger, "...needs to be there on time." He started to turn around. "I'm going back to bed."
"Ani," Jiyong came out and redirected Seunghyun to the team's black van. He gave Youngbae a once over glance as Seungri stood by.
"So what happened hyung? Did you get lost?" Seungri asked, his wide eyes innocent. He chomped down on a red apple and chewed loudly before swallowing.
Youngbae narrowed his eyes. "I didn't get lost."
"Oh, well... you have that look."
Youngbae lifted an eyebrow.
"You know..." He stared up into the morning sky and dazed off for a few quiet moment. He looked pointedly back at Youngbae. "That look." He laughed and side stepped when Youngbae lunged for him. "See you at the meeting hyung!"
Youngbae couldn't help but grin in return. He was in a good mood this morning. His grin faded quietly as Jiyong stepped up to him.
"Twenty minutes?"
Youngbae nodded.
"Alright," Jiyong said in a business-like manner. "I'll try to hold it off until you get there." He turned to join the others in the van but stopped at the last minute. He turned around and called out. "Hey!" A grin started to spread across his face.
Youngbae turned around.
"I'm glad you got your girl back."
Youngbae grinned in return. He nodded his acknowledgement and headed inside for a quick shower.
Amina woke up from her slumber about less than an hour later. She rolled over in bed and hugged her pillow close to her body, smiling to herself as she replayed their parting goodbyes just moments earlier...
Flashback
She rained kisses along the underside of his jaw as he tried to zip his trousers up.
He chuckled. "Baby... I'm really late."
Amina pulled the bed sheet tighter around her body as she stood by watching him dash around the room, looking for his discarded t-shirt. "It's under the side table."
He gave her a y grin and got on the floor, pulling his shirt out. "I wonder how it got there..." He quickly put it on and started pulling on his dress shirt. He stepped up to her. "I already checked you out, so just go back to bed and leave when you're ready. And I also went ahead and paid for the stay and room service, so you don't have to worry about that either."
Her eyes softened.
He put his cap on and grabbed his hoodie jacket off the guest chair nearby. "There's breakfast over there," he nodded towards the service cart sitting by. She looked over. "So make sure you eat everything, since you didn't eat much last night."
She pressed her lips together, her eyes filling with emotion.
He noticed. "Mwuh?" he half smiled.
Amina shook her head. He really had thought of everything. "Nothing. Gomawo..." She leaned up and placed a sweet kiss against his lips. "For everything."
Youngbae firmed his grip on her hips to stop her from pulling back. "You have things to do today?"
Amina worried her bottom lip slightly between her teeth. "Just a couple of errands... Mainly job hunting and I might go visit Hanna's parents."
He nodded. "Well... If you don't want to do anything today, no one will think ill of you." He leaned his forehead against hers. "When you're done... come home."
Amina looked into his eyes.
"You still have the key?"
She nodded.
"Come home."
"Okay."
"Call me... when you get there." He straightened. "My schedule's going to be kind of hectic over the next couple of days with promotions and venues, so I don't know when I'll get a chance to stop by. But just call me, so at least I know that you're there."
"Neh."
He leaned down and brushed his lips gently against hers, intending to keep it quick and light. But soon, it turned into a deep kiss when his lips molded over hers and parted underneath him. He began to angle his head to the side, his tongue slipping further down, tasting every inch of . She moaned and clung to his shoulders. Her reactions shook him out of his passionate haze.
He broke off the kiss, his breathing unsteady.
Youngbae let out a half laugh. He tried to not stare at her swollen red lips. "I better go before I'm even more late."
Amina nodded, her eyes still clouded with desire. "Okay."
"Call me." He stole a quick kiss from her lips, causing her to smile.
"Neh." She bit her bottom lip and grinned as she watched him leave.
End Flashback
Amina threw back the covers and padded over to the service cart that held the array of breakfast food items. Youngbae had thought of everything. Even when he had a meeting to go to this morning, he had already taken care of her room and service expenses, along with ordering her breakfast. She sat quietly for a few moments.... just thinking of him. She shook her head and smiled.
Thankfully he didn't overdo it this time. Just a simple dish of pancakes, scrambled eggs, orange juice, and a side dish of fresh fruit. She cut into the eggs and smiled when she spied today's local newspaper tucked underneath the service cart. This was exactly what she needed to start her job hunting. She flipped through the pages of the job classified ads in search of any opportunities that would interest her. This meant, ones that would give her opportunity to make money the quickest. Otherwise, she'd have to resort to going back to the hospital. Only this time, she wasn't going to be guaranteed a coveted spot. She would have to start at the bottom.
She thumbed through the pages. One jumped out at her immediately.
WANTED: Only beautiful girls need apply. Waitress service experience a plus. Commission based.
It sounded shady, but she was willing to check it out given the fact that the job was commission based. Back in the States, she was used to getting tips, which was a foreign concept here at home. With commission based opportunities, her earnings were limitless. She grabbed a pen on the guest table nearby and circled it for future reference.
Just for fun, she ran across the comic strip pages and glanced at the colorful images as she chewed her food. She was just about done with her breakfast when she turned the page and hit the Star Gossip section. She put her fork down, the amusement in her eyes slowly fading away as she read the headlines.
TAEYANG'S NEW GIRLFRIEND
She forced herself to slow down and read each word twice in case she misread anything. It talked about him and an unknown female spotted at Booksaetong a few days ago, being cozy while shopping for comic books. It was a re-print of an article they published because now they had photos to prove it. There was a fuzzy picture of him and the girl in his car next to the column. To any stranger, it could have been anyone. But to Amina - she knew it was him. And the fact that he had taken someone else in his car... made the gossip seem like the truth. She, more than anyone, knew how much he loved his car. She let out a sharp exhale of disbelief.
There were just other details in the article that just didn't seem right. The fact that it was just the two of them. The fact that they spent almost a whole hour inside the store. Why would he have been so careless? The last time he was so careless was when he was with her... when he made the girlfriend confession in public without her consent. And at that time... he had meant it. Was this his intention as well?
She became nauseas the more she thought. Amina could feel her breakfast come back up. She ran to the bathroom and emptied out her stoma
