Onew and Taemin
Outdoor Invitation
Weekend – Following Day

Taemin gently opens his eyes to be greeted by having no Key by his side. But, he just smiles because he is used to Key’s waking up early in the morning doing what he loves most, painting, sculpting or alone thinking.

Taemin stretches his arms and legs as far as they would go and lies for a few more minutes staring at the ceiling and smiles how wonderful life is away from his usual hectic place in the busy streets of New York.

He lives few kilometers away from Key unlike being with the latter everyday; in New York, he only got to see or visit Key twice a month so he would not exactly knew what was going on with the other’s life that now, he feels regretful for not being so well connected or well-informed of Key’s life that perhaps given a chance he could have been a great help to alleviate in resolving his beloved cousin’s issues – thinking…

“Why would he never let me know…
I wonder but I guess he did not like people to get
involved with his affairs…
but still…”

And thus, at this current situation, Taemin is very happy and glad that he has Key on a daily basis and perhaps right now, he will be able to know the out and about of Key’s life especially his troubled situation.

He admits, yesterdays when Onew and Jonghyun informed him about Key’s situation; it was a good deal of shock, and he never could have imagined how nerve-wracking his beloved’s life has been.  
He lets out a deep sigh of worry but the idea of him being with Key somehow lets out a small laugh.

Taemin looks by the empty side where Key sleeps puts his fingers on and at a gentle slide the particular area and smiles.
It is never the first time he has woken up on his own luckily delighted at rare times when he had woken up with Key by his side still sleeping since the first day he stayed here.

He throws the bed linen off of him and put his feet on the floor and sits on the side of the bed yawning and stretching.
Glancing over at the clock and sees, it is almost a bit past way breakfast and just after seeing the time his stomach makes a loud burble noise widening his eyes in surprise…

“Food is good need to go to eat good food…”

He takes a quick shower then walks out their room and looks down the hall and sharpens his ears to listen for a noise or a chat.
He wonders why there is none.
Not a sound.

Shrugs off and go proceeds walking down the hallway to the dining room and surprised to see Onew alone by himself taking breakfast.
Out of curiosity, he asks…

“Hyung, why are you alone?
Where is Jonghyun-ssi…?”

“He’s outside with Mr. Suho purchasing additional
painting and sculpting materials needed by Key for
a start up of his entry to the competition…”

“Oh…
(thinks) and Key…?”

“He is with Auntie Tiffany for some important
urgent matter to attend to.
But before he left, he told me to let you know once
you wake up.
So, I am telling you now…
(smiles at Taemin) Come breakfast…
I have a feeling you are hungry by now…”

“(laughs softly) Yeah… thanks.
 Are they going to come back as soon as possible…?”

“You mean, Auntie and Key…?”

“(nods) Yes… I guess there are no any because
I am related to them…”

“(chuckles at the sharp answer of Taemin)
Well, Key did not specify what time they will come back
but I remember hearing him saying that it might take the whole day…
And am also informing you regardless if it is of your concern, 
that is, Jonghyun too might take the whole entire day
searching for Key’s needed items….”

“Ooohh…
therefore, it leaves the two of us needing
to keep ourselves company while they are gone…
hhhmm…”

“Key left you a short message just in case.
(points where) There at your usual sitting place…”

“Ohh….okay, thanks…”

He goes where it is and finds the note hard-pressed by a coaster…

Taeminnie,

Good morning.
I left while you were still sleeping.
Mom and I have to go somewhere
and thus, probably might take the whole day.
I requested Onew hyung to keep you company.
Eat breakfast and have a nice day.
Love you…

Taemin smiles and says…

“Am starving…”

Onew upon hearing Taemin’s remark temporarily stops eating and gets up from his chair prepares Taemin’s meal which surprises Taemin stating…

“Oh… please, you do not have to serve me.
I can do it myself…”

Onew just makes a quick look at him and smiles responding…

“It is alright.
I am used to this doing it for Key.
As a long-time friend and partner of Key;
I treat him like a family.
Key is not very good at taking care of himself most
of the times.
So hearing you said, came to me like an impulse…
(smiles) There, you may eat now…”

“(giggles) Onew hyung, you are so sweet.
Thank you.
If you do this more often;
I might get used to it and remind you if you forget…”

“(laughs) Oh, it is fine.
It is a pleasure.
I like to take care of people…”

“hhhmm…
okay, so you may start with what to to make
ourselves busy while they are gone…
what do you think…?”

Onew bewildered with what Taemin means, looks at him with lips partly open and food particles falling in bits of pieces causing for the other to laugh at his condition.

“ha hah ah ha… hyung…
hey I know of waterfalls but never of foodfalls you see…
aasshh…
do you have anything like an activity or something to do…
it could be boring – the atmosphere…
I mean…hey…!
(poinitng at Onew’s mouth)”

Onew realizing what Taemin is pointing quickly closes his mouth and chews food swallowing and says…

“hhhmm… where do you want to go…?”

“(laughs) hhhmm…
how about we go somewhere and have fun…
buy something, go to amusement parks, go for a
window shopping, eat again.
We can eat less so we can at least eat full in one
of the good resto here…”

“(smiles and nods) Okay… sure…
park, stroll and eat could be fun…”

“Alrighty then…”
Taemin responds…
