Key’s Orientation and Familiarization
 

Tiffany makes a quick check on Key and a gentle worrying smile slowly forming on her face as she sees her son, Key - trying to make sense of the place he sees fifty meter in distance – as told, their home; as it clearly shows how the latter is not so enthusiastic about the whole idea of coming back.

She knows she will have a hard time making Key feel familiar and comfortable as she is already expecting that it is going to be overwhelming on his part – forgetting the place where he originated at age 7 years young.

It had been almost 15 years since they were gone.

Tiffany loves Key so much not just because he is the only family she has but because Key is her strength and inspiration to take on challenges in life – she smiles, as she remembers the moment when Key as a young boy passionately stated...

“Mom, let’s go to another place.
I am sorry but I do not like to be here anymore.”

“I understand sweetheart...
We will soon leave by next week.”

“Thanks Mom...
I love you so much...
I do not want to cause you too much worry
and be all the time concerned about me.”

“I love you too sweetie...
I am your Mom and no matter what happens,
I will always have to be looking after your welfare and
safety, understand?”

“(nods with a sad face) I am aware of that Mom,
that is why, I think leaving this place is the best idea.”
 

Tiffany bites her lips remembering those mature statements coming from Key at such a very young age able to grasp and weigh things.
She takes a deep heavy breath and exhales loudly to realize that so much have change in their lives.

The used to be patient and tolerant young Key- only stood firm when things were no longer unacceptable - has grown to be impatient, brutally frank and guarded.

These traits may come as negative or offensive for people meeting Key for the very first time or just simply strangers who happen to take notice of him but if able to get close to him in much deeper or even on an average scale; the latter is definitely very sweet, kind, passionate, loving and generous.

“What is this place Mom?”
 

Tiffany comes back from her senses when Key suddenly bursts out a question that even she would think is a ridiculous question but then she remembers; Key has really forgotten his early childhood years especially this place where he came from and lived for almost 6 years.

“Oh...
(smiling hesitantly) Darling...
this is where we used to live...
a place where you spent your early solid
6 years of your childhood.”
 

Key:                (leans his head on the car glass window)
                       Mom...
                       Did I have a nice childhood life here?

Tiffany:            (gulps but tries to appear calm)
                        Oh...of course, yes...
                        even as a kid, you love to paint.
                        You would go out bring your canvas, paint brush,
                        and watercolour paints.

Key:                (gives a surprising look at Tiffany) Oh...
                       so I was already painting at such an early age, ha?

Tiffany:            (giggles) Of course, silly.
                        You were even good back then and most especially
                        now that you are one of the world’s priciest treasures.
                        (Stating it more loudly) Kim Kibum Key,
                        my dearest son is...

World’s National Living Treasure...
my goodness, even I, is in awe when the US Gov’t and
later on the world have officially declared with that
awesome status.
Aaaaahhh...
 

Key:                (shaking his head) Oh, Mom... stop it...
                       we are not in front of the camera or an audience.
                       (chuckling) Mom, when just the two of us;
                       am simply your beloved son.
                       No titles, no gimmicks, no paparazzi
                       and most of all no sta...
                       (stops and chokes) hhhmmm.... nevermind...
                       (then smiles again) Let’s just live a normal life here, ok?

Tiffany:            (notices Key’s changing demeanour but supports
                        the latter – ignores it) Yap... we will...
                        and we are going to enjoy your last year of school here...                       

Key:                (sighs frustrated) Oh, Mom... come on now...
                       do I really have to go to school?
                       I am home-schooled back in New York, remember?

Tiffany:            (poking Key's chin) Sweetie... honey...
                        normal life, remember?

Key:                (flicking his cheek) Yes...yes... ok, I understand...
                       but man oh man...
                       I just do not get the logic of myself studying
                       when most of my time are absorbed into painting and sculpting.

Tiffany:            (smiles) Honey...
                        just finish your college for Mom's sake, will you...?

Key:                (gasps looking at Tiffany)Oh...
                       Blackmail is definitely one of you skills in parenting, ha?

Tiffany:            (perks lips to a kiss shape) Mwah...
                        I love you my dearest Kibummie Key...

Key:                (exhales on his nose) Whatever...
