Your POV

Not long after Sehun left the table, I got my lunch and proceeded to silence this monster-of-a-belly of mine. Five minutes. That’s all I needed to finish my ham salad sandwich. Looking down at the crumbs left from the sandwich, I gave my still unsatisfied belly a little pat, informing it that the best is yet to come.

Now I can move onto my favourite part of lunch – desert. I got up from my seat and rapidly made my way to the line for food with my rarely seen quick, but light ninja steps. I’m not exactly the athletic or sporty type, but nothing is impossible when it comes to sweets and deserts.

The queue ahead of me shortens and there’s just a few more students to go before it’s my turn. As I stand in line my mouth waters at the heavenly sight of the chocolate cakes sat in front of me. Two years, I have been in this school, yet the same chocolate cake that they do here, never fails to leave me craving for more. I my bottom lip and swallow the excessive saliva in my mouth, the last person in front me finally leaves the line. The dinner lady, gave me a knowing look with a gentle smile.

“Usual?”

I eagerly nodded at her, my twinkling eyes still fixed on the cake. I watch as she takes a plate of cake, chuckling at my response and exchanges my lunch ticket with the plate of heavenly goodness.

“Enjoy”

I take the plate from her hand, a bright smile reaches my eyes and lights up my face.

“Thank youuu”

I giddily returned to my seat, carefully placing the plate onto the table. Minyoung sighs beside me.

“Not again”

I turn to her and cheekily smiled, slightly revealing my teeth as the smile spreads across my face. Minyoung couldn’t help but laugh at me in disbelief and was joined by Suji, Fei and Jia.

Ignoring their lack of respect for this special dessert, I turn back to the plate, whilst they carry on with whatever conversation they were having.

Like a child, my legs, simultaneously swings forwards and backwards as I grab my spoon, gently cutting off a small section of the cake and scooping it into my mouth. The perfectly soft texture melts in my mouth as the luscious taste dances along the taste buds on my tongue. I continue to cut off small sections of the cake, in attempt to prolong this sweet sensation. Five minutes it took for me to eat a sandwich and half an hour it took to me eat a cake. I look down at the remains of the cake with a contented smile and extremely satisfied belly, returning my attention to my friends.

Unknowingly the four of them stumbled upon the topic of guys whilst I entered a world of my own – with, my cake of course. I listen as they all discuss their ideal types.

“Ian Somerhalder is so good looking... have yous seen the latest Vampire Diaries?” Suji holds out her phone, showing us all the picture of her ’boyfriend’ that she saved as her lock screen wallpaper. “Look at his attractive face…oh my god…Damon-oppaaa”

Minyoung rolled her eyes.

“Oh come on. Suji-ah, we all know how you always change your ideal types. Wasn’t it Lee…Dongwook? A while ago?”

I and Jia joined in listing other boys that were previosuly Suji’s ideal types.

“And Lee Minki”

“Kang Dongwoon”

“Wasn’t there that time when she liked Yang Yoseob as well?”

“Yeh and of course her Soohyun-oppa”

“Oh! And what about-“

Suji didn’t seem happy with the seemingly everlasting list of names , she turns to Minyoung.

“Yah! Well at least they’re all waay better looking than Christian Bale”

Minyoung gawked at her in disbelief as Fei and Jia held in their laughs, which I didn’t even bother doing and just bursted out laughing anyway. Minyoung opened to retort back to Suji’s comment but being the mature unnie, Fei interrupted them before a childish fight broke out.

“That’s enough. Hush now, children”

“But she-“

Minyoung obviously felt that it was unfair but was unable to finish her words when she sees Fei send her a sharp glare…wow and I thought Minyoung’s glare was scary. She sighs and shakes her head.

“You’re all so immature”

I nodded in agreement.

“I know, right?”

The whole table went silent. Everyone’s heads turned to face me, with an are-you-kidding-me mixed with a speak-for-yourself look on their faces. I looked around me with big innocent eyes, making eye contact with each one of them.

“What?!”

At the same time, they all shook their heads in disappointment. I looked at Jia who was sat opposite me. She blinked giving me one last look and turned to the others, acting like nothing happened.

“Sooo…”

Though she successfully managed to pull us out from the awkward silence, Jia didn’t seem like she actually had anything to say. Fei smoothly took over, with eager eyes.

“You know, I kinda been wondering this for awhile but” she eyed is all of us “has any of yous actually been in a relationship?”

Because both Fei and Jia joined the school quite late, they missed out on a lot of the gossips that went around the school. Which means that they also have no idea about my relationship with Kai, my now ex-boyfriend.

By the time they joined our trio, though I wasn’t completely over him yet, and maybe I’m still not now, I have already returned back to my usual self again. And I am so glad I was able to do that, glad that they did not have to meet me whilst I was still in a heck of a state. Just imagining how depressing of a person they could have thought of me as, how we’d never have become so close if they weren’t able to approach and befriend me due to the depressing aura I emitted, made the back of my neck turn cold as a wave of shiver travelled down my back.

I noticed Minyoung giving me a worried side glance, the same worried glance that I often received over half a year ago. It’s been so long yet I still uncontrollably think back to those painful days…I really need forget all this, leave it behind me and move on. I worked so hard to stop these pathetic feelings of mine to continue taking its negative effect on me, placing a smile on my face, trying to be my cheerful self, in attempt to stop my friends from worrying about me.

Making Suji believe that I was fine was an easy task, she’s probably the only one out of the three of us who is fully convinced and has accepted that I am over it. The difficulty lies with Minyoung. She has afterall been the one who spent almost her entire life trying to protect me from any harm, physically or mentally. It is pretty much impossible to hide anything from her, it’s like she can read the unconscious thoughts within my mind that even I did not know of.

Not wanting to further disappoint or worry her, I looked at Minyoung, acting oblivious to why she was glancing at me like that and smiled at her, ensuring her that I’m completely fine. Minyoung smiled back at me, but I couldn’t help but notice the hint of worry reflected in her eyes.

Suji laughed off Fei’s question.

“Haha…ah, unnie! Why would you be wondering that anyway?”

“Well since you were all already so popular when me and Jia transferred”

Jia nodded, as she too slowly becomes more curious. She continues what Fei was saying.

“Yeh and it would be impossible to say that no guys attempted to make you theirs”

Me, Suji and Minyoung laughed. Minyoung spoke up.

“You two have no idea what it was like for us before”

The three of us shared knowing looks. Reminiscing the peaceful times when nobody cared about us. When everyone would ignore us and we would do the same. When we were the quiet outcasts and not the Miss A everyone sees now.*sigh* how I wish we could return to those times, of course with Fei and Jia as well. We burst out laughing, feeling like old pensioners as we remember the past.

Fei and Jia’s eyebrows twitched in confusion, unable to understand what was happening. Not forgetting Fei’s original question, Suji turned to her with eyes of a child waiting to hear a story.

“What about you two unnies? Have yous been in a relationship before?”

Mine and Minyoung’s faces mirrors Suji’s as we quickly switch our attention back to them. The two Chinese members of our group appear to have been caught off-guard as Jia speaks in surprise.

“W-why are we suddenly talking about us? We were asking yous first!”

“Yeah! Especially you...” I froze as I watched Fei’s eyes narrow on me and could feel Minyoung’s worrying gaze on me once again “Hyeyi-ah, what I was wondering the most is...well you know how you and Sehun-ie are so close? Have you ever seen him as more than a friend?”

I and Minyoung mentally sighed in relief as she mentions Sehun. It’s not that I didn’t want Fei and Jia to know about Kai, I trust the two of them with all my heart, but at this moment, I know it's pathetic of me, but it's still a sensitive topic for me.

After a few seconds of processing the information, I laughed at the question being thrown at me.

“Well…haha…yeh, I mean how could I possibly see someone as cute as him as just a friend?”

I watched as Miss A stared at me in shock, their mouths hanging open. Even Minyoung has frozen in her position. I evilly giggled in my head…how could I not when faced by these hilarious expressions on their faces?

“I don’t know what yous are thinking” I teasingly said “but to me…he’s like the precious dongsaeng I never had”

After saying that, one by one they let out a big sigh and I felt a harsh slap on my upper arm from Fei.

“Oh my god, you just gave the shock of a lifetime…I was only joking”

I laughed at her as the rest playfully glared at me with the exception of the kind Suji. Who instead looked a bit confused.

“Hyeyi-ah”

“Hm?”

“You know like you’re our maknae?”

“Yeh?”

“Aren’t you younger than Sehun-ie then?”

Fei, Jia and Minyoung looked at Suji and then turned to me, their eyes widen in realisation. Minyoung quickly turns back to Suji.

“But then isn’t he older than you as well?”

Fei and Jia watched you two maknaes, struggling to follow along with the conversation. I was actually quite shocked at how long it took them to ask this question, considering how they got to know Sehun for at least half a year.

“Ahem, well yeh. Being the strange 4D maknae he is, he likes to assume that he’s the youngest 94 liner…I guess”

I casually explained whilst the four of them were probably thinking *what the hell is this girl saying*. I even heard Jia quietly mutter to Minyoung and Suji who were next to her.

“If Sehun-ie is the strange 4D maknae, what the hell is she?”

Minyoung and Suji were having trouble holding in her laugh as I suppressed my annoyance and continued explaining.

“But yeh! When I first met him he just called me noona without knowing my birth date and even when I did tell him I was older, he still called me noona. We’re both used to it anyway”

I shrugged off the thought of the reverse in roles. Minyoung, Fei and Jia continue to watch me like I was an alien.

“He’s like that with Suji as well!” I defensively said.

Suji nodded in understanding.

The bell rung signalling the end of the lunch.

A/N: It's been awhile since I did a YOUR POV, hope you enjoyed it haha...you know I sometimes wonder if I update way too often considering how other authors update like once a month...I really need to get a life lmao
