She wanted to ask
Unlocked Doors
Sulli locked the door behind her.
“So now you take my advice,” said Krystal arching an eyebrow. She lied on Sulli’s bed, belly down and with her legs moving up and down. She had been happily reading Sulli’s notebook, seeing her magazines, her books and pictures. As she saw the perfect arched eyebrow, Sulli had to wonder if this was actually real.
Sulli had waited the whole day. She wanted night time to come ever since she woke up. She had craved for Krystal, to touch her. But now she just wanted to look at her. Memorize her face. She wanted to hear everything she said. It was all too sudden but it was perfect.
Every sudden touch and accidental brush was enough to make her feel little and enormous, real and fictitious, it made her blush and be brave. She had gone to bed early and changed to her cutest but not very girlish pajamas. She waited and Krystal came in, like a good old friend she hasn’t seen for a while.
They played a question game. They were trying to guess things about the other. They were trivial things like: what’s your favorite color? Do you like cats or dogs? Then the questions about music and TV made Sulli remember that Krystal was from other time.
She wanted to ask. But she didn’t dare too. Not yet. She wanted the mood to stay as light as it was. She wanted to know and understand Krystal.
Since Sulli hadn’t slept at all the other night she felt rather sleepy. Her eyelids were heavy when they decided to read a book together. She suddenly forgot the train of thought and the plot. Krystal finished the sentence she was supposed to read and Sulli got startled by her voice.
“I’m sorry,” said Sulli blushingly as she rubbed her eyes.
Krystal sighed loudly and dramatically. The girl decided to roll over to land on top of Sulli. Their backs were pressed together. Her hair was mixed with Sulli’s.
Sulli giggled. “What are you doing?”
“Rolling,” said Krystal playing with Sulli’s hair and badly braiding it with hers. “Sulli?” The other girl hummed in response. “Did you want to ask me something?”
Sulli thought. Yes, yes she did. Millions of questions but at the moment she wasn’t sure she wanted to destroy that bubble of perfection. Sulli felt like time stopped when they were together, like if they were timeless.
“No,” she finally said.
Krystal grinned with a wide teeth-showing smile. She rolled off Sulli, staying half on top of her as she lied with her belly down. She surrounded her waist with her arms and let her leg stay between Sulli’s thighs. Sulli turned her head to stare into Krystal’s eyes. At one point they moved forward and their lips met. They had long and steamy kisses but then they slept.
