Yookyung never turned back.
Unlocked Doors
The words still lingered in Sulli’s head: “It wasn’t a ghost teacher Victoria, it wasn’t a ghost!”
“Who did this to you?” asked the teacher as she slowly approached the trembling girl. Her face was distorted by fear, her hair a mess and the blood still flowed out of the wounds. She needed to be threated quickly.
The other groups arrived to the front gates as soon as they heard the screaming. Everyone seemed afraid and shocked, even the teacher seemed to tremble before Yookyung’s image. She looked just like the ghost girl’s in horror movies.
“It was her! But she is not a ghost!” her lips quiver and every word came out as a terrible scream. Her shuddering movements were wild and spontaneous but none seemed to be done willingly, except for when she moved to talk. “She is in there! She is in there!”
“Come, Yookyung, you need to-”
The teacher was about to bring her back into the school but in the most sudden movement she pushed the teacher away with a wild force and a roaring shriek. The teacher now lay on the floor. Amber ran to help her up and they both flinched back when Yookyung began to turn away with much effort.
“She is not human! She is not human! She is in there! She is in there!” She screamed those words, over and over, as she limped away. Anyone seeing this would have thought that Yookyung was the ghost girl, wobbling away and screaming as she left a trail of blood behind her.
“Yookyung?” said Hayoung as she got to the scene. “Yookyung,” she repeated but the girl wouldn’t turn. She just kept walking forward and away from the school. “Yookyung! Yookyung! Come back! Yookyung!”
Yookyung never turned back.
Teacher Victoria sent us all to our rooms as the adults would try to resolve this problem.
Today in homeroom the teacher said that Yookyung transferred from the school and that she was in better conditions. Hayoung cried uncontrollably.
Hayoung said she was certain that the person who took Yookyung was the legendary ghost girl. But Yookyung was certain that she wasn’t a ghost. But she wasn’t human either. Who was this girl then? What was she?
