You never know
Unlocked Doors
“What?” said Luna at lunch, eyes wide open. “You saw the ghost?!”
Sulli looked around her as the girls of the neighboring tables stared at them. She had to hush her. “Luna!” she almost hissed her name. “I told you I’m not sure!”
“Well, who else would be wondering in the school corridors at night with the uniform on? Oh my god! I would have had a heart attack! I must double lock my door!” she said exasperatedly and Sulli wished she wouldn’t have told her best friend about it because she knew she would make a big deal of it. She didn’t actually felt it was a big deal, at least not in Luna’s sense.
“I don’t know… you would?” offered Sulli teasingly.
“Ha-ha very funny,” she said. “But if you want me to visit, you just tell me!” she said doing a bunch of kissy noises and invading her personal space. Sulli had to push her away as the girl’s around them stared again.
“How many times have you barged into my room unannounced and in your towel? I actually thought it was you again…”
Luna mused putting her hand under her chin. “You know... she is right.”
“Who’s right?” asked Sulli still chewing her sweet tomato and pocking her food.
“The ghost girl,” said Luna grimacing because of Sulli’s slowness.
“About what?” she asked, twitching one eye.
Luna pinched the bridge of her nose. “About the door!” she exclaimed flailing her arms. “What if… some breakes into the school? You must be the only girl in the entire dorm that leaves the door unlock.”
“But the school has security, cameras, gates, night guards. Shouldn’t we be safe?”
“You never know, Sulli. You never know,” said Luna resuming her eating.
Sulli stabbed another sweet tomato and chewed on it wildly.
