What are you?
Unlocked Doors
Sulli rejected Luna’s idea of having another sleepover. She said she had a lot of homework anyway.
Sulli took a shower, put on her pajamas, sat on her bed and waited. The door was unlocked.
Her eyelids started to feel heavy when she heard a doorknob turning. It wasn’t hers. Sulli bolted up, feeling distressed and panicked at a sudden terrible thought. She hurried to Luna’s door out of instinct and just as she had imagined there stood the ghost girl, playing with Luna’s door.
“What are you doing?” hissed Sulli.
Krystal looked at Sulli. There was no expression on her face. “Just seeing if it was unlocked... I can see she has more sense of self-preservation than you.”
“So you just go around checking the doors to see who you can terrorize!” Sulli said in a loud hiss.
“No,” said Krystal. “I wouldn’t do anything to Luna… she is your friend. Besides I can’t come in even if it was unlocked. She has to invite me first.”
“She has to invite you? How do you know her name? How did you know mine? I don’t understand.”
“You don’t have too.”
“I want too.”
Krystal let go of the doorknob. “I watch you and everyone else. It gets kind off boring, you know, being all alone.”
“Why are you alone? If you want you just can talk to us. Maybe we can help you. You could-”
“I can’t. I can only come out at night.”
“Why?” said Sulli, she didn’t realize that she had been stepping forward, getting closer to Krystal.
“I’m not like you.”
“But- how? What are you? A ghost? … a vampire?”
Krystal chuckled humorously.
