Today isn’t my day. Not at all, as my phone slipped through my slender fingers and dropped into the carpeted floor. That’s the worst command I’ve ever heard from my dear father. Is it for real? I mean, all my life I didn’t even leave this hometown of mine for like two weeks yet he said that it’s about time for me to be a lady and inherit the company.
He will be sending all the things that I will be needing during my leave to South Korea. Settled things up, I’m only ordered to follow everything he’d planned. Seriously dad? Are you sure that I will just give up my dream of becoming a music artist and follow your stupid command for I-don’t-know reason? You gotta be kidding me.
I suddenly snapped out of my thought, quickly picked my phone and threw it to my bed. If I’m one step ahead of him then I will be able to escape his plan. Yeah! Genius! I should tell my friends then. Uh…that could wait.
Running to my cabinet, I hurriedly grabbed my bags and placed it in my bed before opening it. I looked around my room and snatched all of my things almost at once as I threw it to my bags. Fortunately, I finished packing things up earlier than expected. That’s it! I should be going right now or else… I wouldn’t make it.
I carried my baggage and went downstairs. My parents are in China, busy managing the business in our company which lead to the result of me living alone in this enormous house. Of course I would think of the maids. I already gave them a day-off and they happily went back to their families.
Amber you’re such a genius! I couldn’t love myself more. I glanced at the clock and it stated that it’s 4pm already. My father told me that they’ll fetch me in 6pm. That’s a relief. I’m sorry dad and mom, I love you both but I want to pursue my own dreams. Hope you guys will understand.
I sighed before carrying my baggage once again with me not before writing a note for them. I brace myself anticipating for my future of being totally alone and independent this time. Freedom, here I come! I grin widely and practically opened the door to my future!
The mini remote in my hand clicked and my baby beloved BMW automatically sounded, signifying that it’s already unlock. I put my things in the compartment before proceeding to the driver’s seat, holding onto the wheel and adjusting the mirror.
My reflection smirk slyly. This is going to be an adventure.
Let the future welcome me blissfully!
Or so I thought.
