“Sorry to hear that.” I said instead.

“Anyway, enough about me. Do you have a boyfriend?” He asked.
“Anio. Not since umm. Err.” I stuttered. I didn’t want to tell him that I’ve been single since he dumped me. I would sound like a total loser.

“Err, actually-” I was just going to cook up some lie when someone entwined their fingers with mine. I looked and it was Jaejoong holding my hand tight.

“Jae oppa?” I murmured. He winked at me before turning to face Joon.

“Oh is this your boyfriend?” Joon asked.

“Jaejoong imnida.” Jaejoong said politely.

“Nice to meet you.” Joon said.

“Likewise.” Jaejoong replied.

“I want to go back inside now.” I whispered to Jaejoong.

“See you around Joonie.” I said and waved at him.

“Take care Skye!” He called after me.

When we got back inside the bar, Jaejoong still held my hand.

Only then I realized that I was shaking all this time.

“Why are you shaking?” Jaejoong asked worriedly.

“He has this effect on me.” I answered.

“That was your ex-boyfriend, huh?”

“Ne, that was Lee Joon. The heartbreaker.” I mumbled trying to focus on not shaking. I felt so embarrassed for still holding on to Jaejoong’s hand but I didn’t want to let go of it either and I don’t think he doesn’t want to let go as well which was fine by me.

“You’re pretty much still hang up on him aren’t you?” He claimed.

“Mwuh? Anio, anio. I’m over him. In fact, I despise him.” I said.

“Good.” He smiled to himself.

“Thank you for rescuing me.” I told him.

I finally stopped shaking.

“I’m always here for you.” he said.

He let go of my hand and then leaned in which made me think at one point he was going to kiss me but he only gave me a hug. A comforting hug. It still felt nice though. When he let me go, he went back to holding my hand again. As he entwined his fingers onto mine, I got butterflies in my stomach. “You said you’re over him right?” He pressed.

“I’m pretty sure I am. Wae?” I asked.

“You know that thing I’ve been trying to tell you since we first met?”

“I know of it.” I said. He’s acting all suspicious again.

“Can I tell you it now while I have this chance?” He requested.
“Sure oppa. Whatever it is, just come out with it.” I told him.

He squeezed my hand and then stared right into my eyes, his eyes so smouldering that my knees turned weak.

“Joahaeyo.” He said. I gasped. Was I hearing it right? He likes me?

“Huh??” I croaked.

“I like you Skye. Anio, I really like you.” He said again.

“Oppa, are you drunk?” I asked him nervously. I started shaking again.

“I’m not. Do you like me?” He asked. This time he is now holding both of my hands. “I do like you but you like me???” I remarked.

It sounded so ridiculous coming from my mouth. This is unreal.

He’s too beautiful to like someone as plain and unattractive like me.

But this wasn’t a dream.
