An hour had passed since Mrs. Song told everyone about the unexpected news. The guys are in their room, waiting for their friend who had the most exposure of shockness while IU is with Jieun, helping her to calm down

Daehyun and Hyosung are still in the garden maze, sitting on the bench. Hyosung had her hands on her lap, clasping them together while Daehyun was just sitting there blankly, thinking deeply

"I don't wanna get married" he started, staring at the small-lighted garden

Hyosung nodded her head, pursing her lips "I know. . . . .So what are you gonna do.?"

"Die"

"What.?!"

He chuckled, glancing at her from the side "Just maybe"

"Are you an idiot.?!"

"Not like you"

"Yah!"

"What.?" he grinned "Well you are an idiot"

"And you're a jerk!" she frowned

"So.?"

"Whatever" she said, annoyed "You're still laughing even at this situation"

"It's alright. You don't have to worry about this"

"I'm worried for Jieun! She likes someone else"

"You think I don't know that.?!" he sneered "I like someone else too!"

She stopped, biting her bottom lip and just staring at him

He sighed, rubbing his face with his hands "I didn't think it would be Jieun"

"What do you mean.?"

"I already know about this tradition. The Jung's heir being engaged to another royal. But I didn't expect it to be Jieun"

"But what if it was not Jieun, would you still agree to marry the girl.? Whoever she may be"

"I don't go against my father's orders. Maybe. If you hadn't come along"

She blushed "W-what if you didn't meet me. Would you still agree to do the wedding.? With Jieun.?"

"It would be impossible" he smiled

"W-why.?"

"Because I already met you"

"That doesn't even answer my question" 

"Isn't the answer obvious already.?"

"I don't know.?" she raised an eyebrow "That's why I'm asking you"

He chuckled, looking at her "You really are a pabo"

"B-but what will you do Dae.? Will you really marry Jieun.?" she questioned, here eyes filled with worries and heartbreaks

He exhaled deeply, crossing his legs "Honestly .."

"Yeah.?"

"No" he stated, staring at her "I don't think I'll be able to marry someone I don't love"

"O-okay" she blushed

"Pabo" he grinned, laying down on her lap

"Y-yah. If you're sleepy, le-let's go back inside"

"Don't wanna" he said, closing his eyes

"Jerk" she scoffed lightly

He held her hand, bringing it closer to his chest "Let's stay here for a while"

She nodded her head even though he can't see it. They stayed there in silence, Hyosung watching Daehyun's sleeping figure from time to time. Slowly and softly, she caressed his face, fixing his hair that opted to cover his beautiful face due to the wind "I . . . . Love you"

Daehyun squeezed her hand, gently opening his eyes. They stared at each for awhile, absolutely enjoying the muteness they are creating. The sound of the leaves swaying are the only ones audible

He looked at her, intenly and deeply "I love you"

The next day, everyone was gathered in the dining area again, having breakfast. Like any usual days, today was different. Everyone was eating quietly with their Aunt Jihae. Daehyun was just eating his breakfast absentmindedly while Hyosung was glancing at a panda-eyed Jieun

"Are you okay.?" Hyosung whispered in her friends ear

Jieun smiled lightly, nodding "Of course"

She held Jieun's hand, squeezing it and giving her the 'We'll get through this' look

"So Daehyun dear" Jihae finally spoke "About the wedding"

"I don't want to discuss this matter right now Auntie" he stated

"I know you don't want to do this dear. Just pleas--"

"Auntie" he said, looking at her

"Y-yes dear.?"

"What am I to you.?"

"P-pardon.?"

"What am I to you.?" he repeated

"Well, you're like my son. You've been with Youngjae and Jieun for as long as I can remember. You're a family"

"Then why are you forcing me to marry your daughter when she's practically like a sister to me!"

"Young Master Daehyun, please don't raise your voice" Aunt May interrupted

Youngjae sighed "Aunt May, don't"

"Yes Young Master Jae" Aunt May bowed

"Daehyun is right umma! Why are you doing this.?" Jieun added "I'm still young. I don't wanna get married. I'm not ready. I'm not mature enough for this!"

"I know you two are affected, but this is between your father's"

"And you never said or do anything to make him change his mind.?!" she yelled

"Song Jieun! I didn't raise you to just yell at me. I'm your mother"

"And I'm your daughter! Your only daughter!"

"What's all this commotion about.?" someone asked

All of them turned their heads to where the voice came from, a collective gasps were heard

IU suddenly stood, running towards the person that's causing the shock "Umma! W-what are you doing here.?" 

"Sohee. Glad you're here" Jihae said

"Madam President" Aunt May smiled, bowing "It's good to see you"

Sohee smiled back "It's good to see you too Aunt May"

"Good morning Auntie" Yoseob greeted while the rest of them (except Daehyun & Hyosung who was clueless) bowed

"Hello kids. It's great to see you"

"Is it really great, umma.?" Daehyun asked sarcastically "I know why you're here"

"Oh.?"

"No. I'm not doing the wedding"

"I know" she only smiled then stared at Hyosung, smiling widely "Hiiii! You must be Jun Hyosung"

"A-annyeonghasaeyo" Hyosung bowed shyly

"No wonder my son likes you. You are just adorable!"

"D-deh.?"

"U-umma!" Daehyun stuttered "W-what are you saying.?!"

"Aiigooo!!" she teased as she pinched his cheeks "I can't believe my son is all grown up"

Yoseob creased his eyebrows "Uuumm okay. We're totally lost Auntie. How do you know about Hyosung.?"

"Please Yoseob, I'm Daehyun's mother. I have every right to know what's going on with his life"

IU shook her head "I'm so confused"

"So am I" Jongup followed

Sohee laughed a little and got serious seconds later, glancing at Daehyun "Son, I need to speak to you privately"
