Chapter 3

-first call: nice meeting you-

 

I woke up about 5 o’clockin the morning because of the vibration from my phone..

 

“aahh.. who the hell will call someone early in the morning??” I ask myself and pick the phone call

 

“good morning!” the first thing I hear in the other line

 

“…..” since I was clueless who the stranger was i don’t know what to say

 

“hello? Eunhyuk??” the guy said

 

“ne? who’s this? And its early in the morning can you just wait for about 3 hours more to call me” I said with a irritated voice

 

“you already forget me?? That’s bad monkey!” the guy said

 

as I heard the word “monkey” from the other line I immediately end the call. Aaahh!! Lee Hyukjae how come you forget the mystery person last night.. and now he’s calling you!! And why is it he keep on calling me monkey?! Im not a monkey im sure of!! Aish!!

 

I was about to go to sleep when my phone light turn on and a text message appear

 

No:05XXXXXX

 

Ok.. I will call you later 3 hours from now.. J

Sleep now my monkey..

 

I was smiling on the text since I can have my sleep when I read the word “my monkey”!! I immediately call that guy and wait for him to pick it up

 

“yes? Sooo.. you want to talk to me rather than sleeping monkey?” the guy said and I an hear his laugh from the other line which makes me more irritated

 

“no! and I don’t want you to call me!! I just want to clear things up!! Im not a monkey and im not YOUR monkey!!! And I will never will!!!” I shout from the other line but making sure my parents and my sister will not wake up

 

“wow.. I never thought a monkey can shout so loud luckily my phone is far from my ears.. hahaha” he laugh again but this time it’s a teasing laugh

 

“don’t. you. Ever. Call. Me. Again!!!!” I said and end the phone call immediately

 

that guy how come he’s like that.. im sure its not donghae because I know his voice and he will not make a prank on me early in the morning so did sungmin.. I wonder who he was.. Ill make sure that whoever he was he’s dead when I meet him face to face

 

after thinking various things I decided to go to my bed and tried to sleep but unfortunately sleeping right now is not good.. im awake thanks to that guy  and I waiting here and trying to make myself go to sleep but I cant..

 

-3 hours after-

 

I went out on my room leaving my phone since I know that guy will call me since he told me he will. As I was walking down the stairs I saw my sister and my parents eating

 

“goodmorning hyukjae come and eat with us” my mom said and I immediately walk towards the dinning area

 

“what’s with the panda eyes hyuk?”my sister said

 

I have one sister Lee Sora which is older than me. I love her A LOT!!! Since she’s the only one who can understand me here.

 

“its nothing noona.. I don’t get much sleep last night” I lied they don’t need to tell them about my mysterious guy

 

I continue to eat as I can feel sora’s eyes glancing at me after I finish eating I immediately went to my room and lock it

 

I was about to open my computer to check my twitter account when my phone ring.. aaahh… that guy again

 

“wae?!” I said

 

“good morning!” he said

 

“ok is that all? I will end this call now” I said but before I click the end button

 

“wait wait! Are you mad at me??” he ask

 

what’s with that question?! Of course I’am!! After waking me up 5 :00in the morning now he have the guts to ask if im mad at him?!

 

“why would i? after waking me up early in the morning obviously im not mad thanks to you!” I answered sarcastically

 

“mianhe for that. I just want to be your friend since you keep on ignoring me i keep on calling and texting you” I said

“ok we are friends.. can you leave me now?” I told him but I realize that my irritation a while ago is gone and I’m starting to enjoy our conversation

 

“no! friends should never leave there friends alone” he answered

 

“…….mind to introduce yourself?” I said since I know this guy will never leave me and keep on calling me

 

“oohh.. hmmmm.. ok! Im gamegyu.. but its weird if you will call me that so you can call gyu!” he said and I can tell he’s so happy telling me his name

 

“your name is weird.. is that your real name?” I ask its really weird for me

 

“of course not! My real name is………..secret! its just my codename so we can call each other with our codenames right?” he said while laughing

 

“codenames? Eunhyuk is not my codename to tell you the truth its my nickname” I said

 

“I know! Your Lee Hyukjae right?” he said and I can imagine him smiling

 

who’s this guy! How come he know my name I don’t remember meeting a stranger and telling my real name.. is he a stalker?! I should be careful with this one.. its creeping me out!!

 

“how did you know my real name gyu?” I ask

 

“hmmmm… I don’t know its just I saw your name in my dream” he answered

 

“im serious here you know” I said with a irritated tone

 

“its ok you don’t need to be scared im harmless and you will know me soon and the right time I guess” he said

 

as we are doing our conversation asking things and stuff I didn’t realize im comfortable with our conversation

 

“monkey?” he said in a tone I don’t know if he’s whispering or what

 

“ne?” yes I already accepted the monkey name since whenever I told him to stop he keeps on calling me monkey

 

“I need to go now I will call you later something came up here” he said

 

I don’t know but I feel sad about it.. yes! Its just an hours since we started our conversation but I feel like I know him for an ages now I learn a lot about him like he’s addicted to computer games, love to sing, a bully of course and reading is his habit. But I wonder when I ask his school or anything that can reveal anything about his personal life he will change the topic. Who is this guy really?

 

“ok” I answer with a simple ok

 

“hyuk? Are you ok? you answer me so long and it was just an ok?” he said and I can here his serious tone

 

“ne im ok. go now bye!” I said and end his phone call

 

after I end that phone call I stare at my phone about 5 minutes and realize that he will never call again maybe later

 

“aish! Why am I waiting for that game addict?” I told to myself and walk out to my room and proceed to the sala where my sister is watching TV

 

“what are you doing in your room in a summer break hyuk? You should go out with min or hae” noona told me

 

“ne I was about to do that” I said and get my phone to call them but unfortunately they are out with there family and I can’t barge there and ruin there family bonding

 

“aaahh.. im bored” I said and crumpled myself on my bed and thinking on what should I do

 

“why is it he’s keeping so long to call me?” I said

 

wait?! Did I just.. did I just ask myself about gyu?! No! no! maybe because im interested to be his friend after all and im enjoying talking to him.. right that must be it..

 

I laugh at my own reason and didn’t I realize dreamland is claiming me again..

It was a good dream..

Me, sungmin and hae in the room laughing so hard about hae’s story being with them is so nice.. hae keep on telling weird things until my phone vibrate..

 

Phone vibrate…

 

Phone vibrate… where is that coming from?

 

Still phone vibrate..

 

I woke up realizing that my phone is vibrating and someone is calling me.. I check the clock and it was 10 pmalready I sleep for so long and I guess they are all sleeping right now

 

As I answered the phone a familiar voice can be heard on the other line..

 

“you must be sleeping. Did I wake you up?” gyu said

 

“yes I am. But its ok” I said and didn’t I notice that a smile is forming in my lips

 

I went out to my room and proceed to the kitchen since im starving to death but still gyu and me are having out long long conversation on the phone

 

“so what are you doing right now?” he ask me

 

“just sitting in my bed” I lied

 

I don’t want to tell him that I was in front of our refrigerator sitting in the floor and pigging myself out

 

“really? I believe your in front of your refrigerator and eating” he said and I can here his laughter again

 

“eh?!” I said as I was about to get that strawberry cake in the ref

 

“did I hit the jackpot?” he said still laughing at me

 

“and so? Im hungry here” I said a bit irritated

 

“hahaha! Im just joking go eat now should I call you later?” he said

 

and here again I feel sad hearing it from him

 

“no! its ok we can talk while im eating” I said

 

“oooh.. ok” he said

 

and a great pause can here in the other line

 

“gyu?” I said did he just fall asleep?

 

“ne?” he answered

 

“why are you so silent all of a sudden?” I ask

 

“ne monkey. Can I aks you something?” he said

 

“you already are. What is it?” I answered

 

“do you really want to know me? I mean in person and not like this?” he ask

 

I think for a second. Do I really like to see him in person? I like how we talk in the phone what if my view on him are not the same I know I will be very disappointed but still a allowed him to be my friend. Maybe when the time comes that we can see each other in person we can be best friends.

 

“ne” I answered

 

“…..” he’s not saying anything again why? Anything wrong with me?

 

“gyu?” I ask again

 

“did you know that my codename gyu is near to my real name?” he said out of the blue

 

“eh? Really then can I guess?” I said with excitement on my tone

 

“sure! But I wont tell it if its correct!” he said then laugh

 

“hmmm.. gyu right?? Tyu? Ryu? Hyu? Kyu?” I said and contine to tell him random names

 

“stop it right now its getting weird” he said then laugh

 

“but I know I got the right name!!” I said in a loud tone but not too loud to wake everyone in the house

 

“ne!” he said

 

as we keep on talking I check on the clock and to my surprise its already 2Am in the morning

 

“uhmmm. Gyu? Can we sleep now? Its already midnightand seriously im having panda eyes already” I told him and yawn

 

“ok monkey go to sleep but don’t end the phone call” he said

 

“eh?! Wae?? How about you?” I ask

 

why did he want not to end this call? I wont be able to talk to him anyway

 

“nothing I just want to hear you sleeping. The way you sleep maybe you talk in your sleep or maybe snore anything I just want to hear it” he said

 

I don’t know why but it makes my heart beat so fast and makes me blush. What’s with this guy?? He’s really a weird one

 

“ne” and I place my phone beside my pillow and after a minute of so dreamland already get me

 

but on the other line this gyu person is still listening to every sound the other line make and smile nonstop

 

and before he join the dreamland he just say one thing which he knew the monkey will never hear

 

“I hope when we meet in school and told you im gyu you will accept me.. because im starting to like this monkey

 

 

 

 

 

 

Im selfish for making myself a mystery to you but let me say it while your sleeping…
