Chapter 16
Running With WolvesStepping out of the school gates, Sunrin inhaled a deep breath. The school day was finally over. Her last class had been Math. The class Sunrin hated with a passion. Sunrin did well in school generally but Math was a battle for her which she generally lost. Something Sunggyu pushed her to get better at, but to no avail.
"Mr Park is just really bad at explaining things. That's why I don't take notes from the whiteboard. I write my own notes in ways that I can understand. You can borrow them if you want?" Minah offered as Sunrin looked at Minah in adoration.
Minah was the best at mathematics.
"I would owe you so much." Sunrin beamed as Minah laughed, digging into her bag and pulled out a purple folder. Sunrin's eyes nearly bulged out, shocked at how much notes there actually were.
Minah was nothing but thorough when it came to her school work. Sunrin shouldn't have been so surprised.
"Just read the notes written in blue. It's a simpler way of working out the equations." Minah explained as Sunrin flicked through the pages.
"Color coded huh? Pretty." Sunrin smiled looking up when she heard a car horn beep. Looking up at the car that had pulled up infront of her, she waved at Myungsoo as the driver's side window made it's way down.
"Thanks Minah. I'll look at them tonight and give you them back tomorrow."
"No worries." Minah beamed before watching Sunrin climb into the passanger side of the car, waving her hand happily at Sunrin.
"Do you not want a ride home Minah?" Myungsoo asked. Usually her answer would have been yes but today was different.
"Nope. Thanks for the offer though. I'll see you tomorrow Sunrin."
"Bye, and good luck." Sunrin smiled at her friend, giving her a thumbs up before Myungsoo set the car into drive.
Once on the road, Myungsoo side glanced to Sunrin as she flicked through a magazine that Sungyeol had left in Myungsoo's car long ago and had just never bothered to throw away. Myungsoo begrudged doing it for him so Myungsoo's car had become Sungyeol's magazine's home.
"So... What were you wishing Minah good luck for?"
"Secret." Sunrin grinned as Myungsoo sighed. Sunrin never kept secrets from him. Never, if anything he was the one she told everything to out of the whole pack.
"Oppa's and Dongsaeng's should share secrets." Myungsoo smirked as Sunrin laughed.
"Oppa's should shower their Dongsaeng's with gifts but we don't do that either." Sunrin shot a smirk right back at Myungsoo who couldn't help but laugh at her rebuttle. Sunrin had clearly spent too much time with Sungjong over the past few years and had somehow came to have a sharp tongue just like Sungjong.
"Besides, it's not my secret to tell." Sunrin mumbled under her breath but Myungsoo heard it. He sighed once again but decided to let it go. Myungsoo knew that when it came to her friends, Sunrin was like a locked vault when it came to their secrets.
Once they reached their apartment complex, Myungsoo jumped out of the car and waited for Sunrin to do the same before he locked up the car. Myungsoo looked inside the car, where Sunrin still sat, looking around the vacant car park.
"What's going on?" Myungsoo questioned after walking around to her side and opening her door.
"Nothing."
"Doesn't look like nothing." Myungsoo couldn't help but chime.
She was acting strange, stranger than usual at least.
"Mrs Park's stupid cat attacked me again this morning as I was leaving the apartment. I'm sure that cat hates me or something. Just looking around to make sure it's nowhere in the visinity." Sunrin said, scanning the Car Park again before stepping out from the car.
Myungsoo smiled and locked the car door before walking to the entrance of the apartment comlex with Sunrin at his side, hauling her school bag over his shoulder."Well that makes sense." Myungsoo simply said, making Sunrin look up at him questioningly. It was clear she was waiting for Myungsoo to explain why it made sense to him.
"Sunrin, you live with werewolves. You don't think that cat can't smell canine on you? Mrs Park's cat hates all of us." Myungsoo explained, having been the victim of the cat's attack many times before as well.
"It's not just cats though. It seems like all animals hate me. Cats, Dogs and I swear Roxy gives me the stink eye
