C.17
Age Of Youth,17.
What have I done with my life?
The brunette furiously wiped away her tears but they kept on falling.
Stop crying,
Please, just stop crying.
Why are you crying anyway?
You’ve done this to yourself,
You’ve brought this upon yourself,
You wanted an easy life,
And you got it,
But at what price?
You threw away your dignity to get it,
You sold yourself for it,
Was that worth it?
Tell me, was it?
Are you happy?
Are you?
Rei shook her head, no.
No, I’m not.
I’m not happy.
I’m far from it actually.
The words the woman had fired her way never left her mind. They kept on re-playing, over and over again like some kind of broken record. They kept on haunting her dreams, rendering her a crying mess.
Those words hurt.
The truth hurt. (No one actually likes to hear it.)
Deep down she knew she was a . A woman capable of selling her body and soul for money.
But hearing it…
Actually hearing that word,
Made it all the more true.
Rei was ashamed of herself.
Ashamed of who she was.
Of the person she came to be.
It wasn’t her,
Sehun was right,
This wasn’t her.
She didn’t want to be this person anymore. She didn’t want to hate herself anymore.
But could she really change?
After everything,
Could she really let go of her past self and start anew?
Could she?
She had to at least try,
Maybe then she’ll become someone she could be proud of,
Someone who’s worthy of being loved,
Someone who reflects her true self,
Someone who truly deserves to be happy.
She could try,
She had nothing to lose after all,
She had already lost what mattered to her a long time ago.
Emma hadn’t talked to Kai since that fateful day (and that was a week ago).
She still went to work but made it a thing to avoid him as much as she could, only talking to him when necessary. The fact that he had reverted to the cold treatment he used to give her in the beginning hurt, especially when she had no idea what she did wrong.
But wasn’t he the one in the wrong and not her?
He left her hanging, didn’t he?
He got her hopes up and left just like that.
And to make matters worse he started shamelessly flirting with his female students, right in front of her eyes as if to deliberately hurt her (it’s not like he hasn’t already).
They weren’t in some kind of relationship to begin with, therefore, she had no right to question his actions. She had no right to be jealous.
Yes, that’s right, Emma was jealous.
She doesn’t know when or how but that man had managed to make his way into her heart, settling there and calling it home. She couldn’t deny the fact that she had a soft spot for him, after all, the man had come to her aid not once but twice. And a part of her knew that beneath this playboy persona he proudly displayed laid hidden a boy who wanted nothing more than to be loved and cared for.
She was mad at him, at the way he was treating her. (She had all the right to be.)
And wanted to hate him but she couldn’t.
She just couldn’t.
Her feelings for him prevented her from doing so.
It’s funny how she was warned to stay away from him,
To leave his side,
And to not fall for him,
