"H-Hi Yeon?" Kyungsoo repeated the name for at least 3 times. He cleared throat and mind as that name bounced back and forth inside his brain. He won't be wrong but that name, it belongs to Jongin's sister. And the fact that she is a rebel might support that it's true. 

"Do tell attorney." Sehun urges the petite boy in front of him, both eyes and ears focused.

Kyungsoo squeezed his memories hard but Sehun's serious face was distracting him. It felt like there were dozens of eyes at peaking at him. 

"Could you not stare at me like that Police Officer?" Kyungsoo rolled his eyes and made a point. "It'll be harder for me and more awkward if you keep gawking at me like that."

Sehun scoffed, "It isn't my problem that I am born handsome."

"Shutting your mouth is a bigger help." Kyungsoo answered in a bored manner which got Sehun to lean back on his chair. "Okay, you want me to close my eyes?"

Kyungsoo didn't answer.

"Or you want me to---"

"This pancake house does support Wifi right?" Kyungsoo asked and Sehun nodded shortly after. "It's free."

"I know idiot." Kyungsoo remarked shamelessly that got Sehun shocked. No one have ever called him idiot for years after graduating. And this guy, who he just met now called him that like he's meant to. "Can you just give me a background check on Kim Hi Yeon?" Kyungsoo asked, lips pursed.

"Tch," Sehun scoffed once again. "I—What did you say? Idiot? Attorney Do. I think," Sehun draws an invisible line at the middle on thin air, "I think you've broken our wall here. How could you say such word to me? We're not even close and you act lik---"

Kyungsoo gave him a bored stare. He flicked his tongue and pulled out his right hand in mid air. "Let me clear 5 things to you Police OfficerOh." He puts out his index finger and the others follow as he mutters,

"First, I didn't cross or break our wall. It was you acting close all the time when our conversation could be just done by phone, professionally and seriously."

Sehun gulped.

"Second, You're hurt of what I've said." Kyungsoo's eyes were quite mocking that got Sehun shrugging. "W-What hurt? Are you crazy---"

"Defensive." Kyungsoo responds. "Third, you could've just given me Kim Hi Yeon's background to clear the case rather than acting all friendly."

"Fourth, We could take this seriously if you don't want my mouth ranting."

Sehun just looked down.

"And last, Fifth," Sehun gulps while stealing a glance at Kyungsoo's eyes. Kyungsoo was contented that he made the Younger shut up so he just sighed, "Let's get to work."

"Damn." Sehun remarked for the third time. This guy is really workaholic. Or maybe he just wanted to end the case already because his Ex was the client?

Sehun unconsciously smirked. Daebak...Maybe that's why he's always in a sour mood. This type of person is the person that would betray everyone in hunger games.

Kyungsoo was focused on his phone but he noticed Sehun who was busy talking to himself. He cleared his throat and clicked on a picture that Jongin took 5 years ago. He stared at everyone in the picture.

"Don't hide your thoughts Police Office Oh, Do tell, even the smallest ideas or thoughts matters." Kyungsoo called out that got Sehun off guard. "Unless you're killing me inside your head." He continued.

"It can work but Police Officer Oh is such a long name."

"I respect people I just met."

"I know but Sehun can be a nice--"

"Tell me about that picture."

Sehun doesn't want an argument to start in which he'll just lose so instead he just said, "Kim Hi Yeon, you said she looked like Jongin's sister, how come? Is she Biologically related to him? She's Soo Jung's mother-in-law right? And Kim Jongin is her husband. This is some . Did she changed her identity or what?"

"I should be asking that." Kyungsoo breathes out. He was still staring at the picture. He studied everyone especially his younger self. His mouth went agape when he saw what he's wearing in the photo...

That Jade bracelet.

He remembers that night...

That night.

"DO KYUNGSOO! CALL KIM JONGIN! HIS SISTER IS HERE BACK! HURRY UP!" Chanyeol calls out to Kyungsoo who was busy eating ice cream. This startled Kyungsoo, making his spoon fly from his hand, staining his polo. "Aish! Alright! Coming!"

He made his way through the thick crowd. It was Jongin's mother's birthday and a party was made. His eyes linger around the crowd, looking for one certain person. But due the dancing crowd and some associates, he couldn't find Jongin. 

He frowned, holding his cup. "Jong-ah~" He calls out in a soft hush.

"Looking for me?" All of a sudden, a strong arm grabbed him by his  collarbones, twirling him around; making him hit someone's hard chest. Kyungsoo immediately recognized his boyfriend's scent that made him blush. He pushed Jongin gently.

"Aish, you're making a scene." Kyungsoo tried to hide his blush. Jongin pinched his cheek. "It's okay to show the world that you're---" He leaned closer, "Mine."

Kyungsoo blushed even more that made Kyungsoo elbow him. "Shut up really!" He warned, trying to change subject. "Your sister's back from America, you should rush to her."

"Yong Mi noona?"

Kyungsoo shrugged.

"Jongin?" Someone called out from the crowd. Jongin immediately faced that person and his eyes formed into small crescents. "Hi Yeon noona!" He rushed towards her and enveloped her into a hug. "Yah, you've grown fat."

Hi Yeon elbowed his younger brother in embarrassment. "Don't say that, I worked hard for my body."

"Liar."

Hi Yeon ruffled Jongin's hair. "Idiot, I missed your lame puns."

Jongin stuck his tongue out. Kyungsoo found it adorable. So It was true that Jongin was close to all his sisters but was the rumor of bad blood also true? He's worried of Jongin. 

Hi Yeon grabbed Jongin's arm, "I need to show you something, come with me." She ordered, having Jongin with her. Kyungsoo turned away, attempting to walk back inside to get more ice cream when Jongin tugged his hand too, bringing him with them.

Hi Yeon got to her bag near a fake bamboo tree and pulled out two bracelets.

One was Jade and one was made of Rose Quartz.

"I've got these from a friend." Hi Yeon tells her brother, "They're pretty right?"

"Are you bragging?" Jongin joked. Hi Yeon rolled her eyes, "Nope. I'd like to give this to someone."

Jongin finally released his grip from Kyungsoo's arm to hold both bracelets. Kyungsoo smiled, he wanted to give them a moment but Jongin called out his name.

He unwillingly followed.

"What did you say noona?" Jongin asked, his eyes still fixed on the bracelets.

"I'd like to give this to a pretty lady. She's just like your age and she's smart and has a heartwarming smile. What bracelet do you think suits her best?"

"Is she a friend?" Kyungsoo suddenly butts in making both Kim's attention to focus on him. Kyungsoo found it awkward so he instantly shrugged, "A-Ah I'm sorr---"

"I wanted to be her friend yet so I think---"

"No way noona, you're forcing her to like you." Jongin teased.

"Aniya," Hi Yeon defended. "Her name's Krystal by the way, what bracelet do you think suits her best?"

"Krystal..." Jongin repeats. "That name's pretty so I think she'd like the Rose Quartz."

Kyungsoo suddenly flinched. He felt something that he hated the most.

"What about you Kyungsoo?" Hi Yeon asked.

"Rose Quartz would be really pretty on her," Kyungsoo just answered. "Besides, my aunt once told me that Jades are given to people important to you. She said that Jades were rare during her time that it was only given to people who are really important."

Hi Yeon nodded and snatched the Rose Quartz from Jongin's hand. "You're both right. Rose quartz is the best choice!"

Jongin turned to Hi Yeon, "What about the Jade? Are you going to use it?"

Hi Yeon tilted her head; she looked like thinking before leaning to Jongin and arrowing him the Jade bracelet. "I'd never had a gift to you from your past 2 birthdays," She sighed. "I'd like you to give this to the most important person to you right now. Make sure you both treasure it okay?"

Jongin's eyes went wide. "You're really going to give it to me?"

"Aish, stop the drama." She then chuckled. "This is really expensive and valuable, make sure that the person you'll give this to; is the one you treasure the most. The one you think is worth more than a ruby, gold and rose quartz..."

Jongin's eyes immediately dawned on Kyungsoo.

Hi Yeon smirked. "Go."

Hi Yeon watched how his brother walked towards Kyungsoo. She was all over warm for her brother but there was still a hard emotion that's blocking it. Her eyes shifted to her mother and Yong Mi, entirely everything changed. 

"You look awkward." Kyungsoo snaps at the Younger. Jongin chuckled then immediately grabbed Kyungsoo's wrist and hastily locking the Jade bracelet on it. Kyungsoo's eyes went wide, "What the hell is this?"

"What? They said that you give this to the person you treasure the most.

Kyungsoo gave Jongin a bland look. "This was supposed to be romantic and all but..." Kyungsoo then scoffed, "Krystal huh? Pretty name huh?"

Jongin scratched is nape. "Do Kyungsoo's a prettier name."

Kyungsoo's still not answering.

"Do Kyungsoo, don't be jealous over some names. What matters here is that you're worth than a lot of praises and golds." Jongin purred making Kyungsoo's forehead cease. "You're so cheesy you know that?" He tried to hide his forming blush. It was cheesy alright but it came out of Jongin's lips, making it seem sweet.

"But your blush did rage." Jongin teased the older and hastily kissing Kyungsoo's hand with the Jade bracelet.

"Always beside you grumpy."

"I Hate promises."

Jongin leans in, planting a soft kiss on Kyungsoo's forehead.

"So? What did you remember?" Sehun breaks the silence. Kyungsoo's heart grew a bit heavy. "She is Jongin's sister. She knows Krystal ever since, I think. And she's sweet and nice...."

Sehun got doubts. "S-Sweet? Maybe?"

"That was 5 years ago right?" Kyungsoo continued then began frowning. Sehun nodded, not wanting to say a few words after the sudden swing of emotions. 

"We've got men associated with her. She is already 31 years old, related to Jongin. Kang Soo Chul, Qian Weng Yi, Jung Bo Young, Lee Yi Tae and furthermore, Kim Yoon Bin."

"Who do you think are these men?"

"From my studies, she is a former mistress, a girlfriend and a booty call."

"Yah that was rude." Kyungsoo points out, still frowning at the certain memory. Sehun rolled his eyes, crossing his arms on his chest.

"What was rude is that I'm already taking this seriously and you're spacing out."

Kyungsoo just glared at the officer.

"We need to investigate at these men, quickly. And also we could make a haste visit at Sir Lee's house. I need to check it out for assessments."

Sehun nodded. "Then we should go." He told Kyungsoo before standing up. The two walked towards the Parking lot with Sehun telling jokes and bugging Kyungsoo but the older seemed to be really spaced out.

Sehun was the person who seemed shy but not totally. He was quite a prankster but sometimes Kyungsoo can sense that he's much lonely and stressed like him but either ways, they both loved their jobs. 

"I'll just reload the tank." Sehun told Kyungsoo who was beside him, looking at the window. Sehun mutters something before getting out of the car but Kyungsoo doesn't pay any attention. A man helped him with his card to refuel the car.

He suddenly glanced at his wrist.

It felt empty.

4 years empty.

He remembers the Jade bracelet that Jongin gave him.

"Worth a lot of praises and much more than gold."

Lies Kim Jongin, gold worth of lies. 

Funny.

It wasn't his.

If it was his then Jongin shouldn't have taken it with him when he left. It should've stayed with him.

Right?

But it wasn't with him anymore.

It happened all that fast.

Kyungsoo doesn't want to be nostalgic anymore. It creeps him a lot if he's going into the emotional phase and it disgusts him because he feels like a teenager. After Sehun's refill, he boarded the care and gave Kyungsoo a quick glance. 

"Are you still going  to act like a love struck boy?" Sehun asked and wore the seatbelt. "Don't deny it, I saw you at that photo."

Kyungsoo gave him a dead gaze. "Thanks for reminding me that I should not."

"You're very welcome, " Sehun reminds, starting the engines. "Sometimes you just needed to accept things the way they are now. It's the only way to be fine."

Kyungsoo gave him a small smile, erasing all hopes.  "I know."

"Nope," Sehun protests. "If you know how to then you should've moved on."

Kyungsoo laughs a bit, "Why did our conversation went to moving on and such? this is seriously not a must need."

"Of course not," Sehun replied before sparing him another grin, "but you know what?"

Kyungsoo gave up, fed up by sehun. "What?"

"I could help you move on."
