August 10: 7:38pm, Nazca Restaurant, Seoul

True to his word, Director Yoon Seung Hoon invites all the directors and managers to dinner at Nazca. He closes off an entire section of his restaurant for the group.

Yoon Seung Hoon acquired a taste for Mexican food while studying in the US. So when the opportunity presented itself, he did not hesitate to jump in and open this restaurant. He named it Nazca in memory of a very meaningful trip to Peru. While it offers mostly Mexican fare, some of the dishes show Peruvian influence.

Hayaley arrives with Mael…late. They did not get done breaking down till 5am this morning and she had taken the crew out for breakfast. Everyone had worked so hard. It is not easy to adjust to a new venue and a new place with little preparation. What more dealing with a language that none of them spoke or understood. Aside from the Core 4, she will not see the rest of the crew for several months. So she wanted to have a good meal with everyone and send them off well.

It was 9am when she got home and exhaustion had kicked in. She thought about going straight to bed. But going to bed after all those hours of work out and sweat did not sit well with her. She crashed as soon as she got out of the shower only to be awaken barely 4 hours later by Seung Hoon-oppa’s phone call.

Jae Joong arrives at Nazca about the same time. He was thinking about going around the couple in front of him but senses familiarity - it’s Hayaley and Mael. Neither are in their usual torn jeans and tee shirts. Mael even has a jacket on.

Hayaley has on a semi-sheer long-sleeve collared black blouse. He could make out the outline of her back through the fabric. No doubt she is in good shape. Snake print high heel sandals peek out under an all-black ensemble. He slowly follows them up the stairs.

Director Yoon is standing by the entrance, waiting for the last of his guests.

“I told you to be on time,” he says to Hayaley as he opens the door.

“Sorry, I said I’ll try. Got here as soon as we could.”

“Oh, Jae Joong. You’re here.”

“Good Evening. Sorry, I’m late,” Jae Joong apologizes.

“That’s all right.”

Hayaley rolls her eyes at the double standard.

Director Yoon ushers them to the VIP area in the back of the room. It’s a cozy area with five tables.
