Taemin was restless the night before the first WGM filming with Kai.
“What’s wrong, Taemin?”
“What do you mean? I’m fine.”
“Please Taemin. I’ve known you longer than anyone, and I can see you fiddling with your ear. Is it about WGM?”
Taemin was always shocked at how well Kai knew him. Maybe this is why people always assume they’re dating. Because they’re so close.
“Yeah I’m.. nervous.”
“About what in particular? Maybe I can help?” Kai offers him a beer.
“Oh no thanks man, I don’t think I can sleep if I have that beer.”
“So maybe we can rehearse some questions they’ll ask you, that way it’s closer to an acting gig.”
“Wow~ great idea.” Taemin smiles.
“Firstly, I assume they’ll ask you about your dating experience.”
“Right. Well I’ve never dated anyone before...”
“Don’t say that! Say something cute like ‘oh maybe in elementary school..’” 
Taemin laughs in embarrassment.
“It’s funny because it’s true!”
“Exactly, Taeminnie it has just the right amount of reality that makes it believable to everyone watching.”
“Okay let’s keep rehearsing!” Taemin says excitedly. 

The day of the filming arrived. They were going to arrive at their dorm to make it more real-reality. The stylists, make-up artists, film crew, producers, and props all started flooding the dorm. 

“Wow~ Taem, all this for me? You shouldn’t have.” Key jokes.
Taemin laughs shyly, the presence of one of s makes him even more nervous. He slides into the make-up artist’s chair.
“Oh~ You have such beautiful skin.” the make-up artist proclaims.
“Thank you” Taemin replies with a big smile. He so often receives this compliment from strangers that it rarely means anything anymore.
He gets lost in his imagination while the make-up artist goes to work. What will this girl be like? She’ll probably be older with his inexperience. She’ll probably know exactly what to do, and what to say. What about looks? Well in an ideal world, she’d have double eyelids, long hair, and cherry lips. A cute~ girl.

When Taemin arrives to the stylist and sees what he’s picked him to wear, he rejects it completely.
“Sorry... this is really good, but I’d rather wear my own clothes. Is that okay?” Taemin asks.
“The producers want you to appear more manly. Do you have anything manly?”
Taemin rolls his eyes internally. People don’t understand the difference between Taemin and Taemin Lee. Taemin is his stage version, the cute boy-next-door type. Taemin Lee is a normal 20 year old boy who likes to play video games and hang out with his friends. He’s not a feminine man contrary to popular belief. He’s just a normal guy.
Taemin goes into his dorm and instinctually picks a simple striped shirt. Then remembering that this appearance will be on tv, he needed something “idol.” He settles on a tight pair of acid washed jeans. 

“Okay Taemin, this is the scenario, the door bell will ring and you all will be confused on who it is. Then, it’ll be the WGM mailbox and you’ll have to find out who’s turn it is to be on the show by scratching off the name from the postcard. We have put a coin close by so you’ll have to walk out of frame to get it. Ad lip the rest.”
Taemin gulps. This is it, he thinks. 

“3, 2, 1.. action.”
The doorbell rings on cue. Key automatically senses Taemin’s nerves and tries to settle them by being funny.

“OH?? Who could it be?????”
Taemin laughs. Silly hyung.
“The story of your First Love will begin at Jeju island.”
A burst of relief shoots through Taemin. He’s not meeting her today? All those nerves for nothing?
“Okay guys, perfect. Now let’s get a couple of shots of Taemin drawing his perfect girl.”
Taemin thinks back to his practice interview with Kai. Double eyelids, cherry lips, long hair.
Key and Onew help Taemin along throughout the filming. Making it obvious that he’s never dated anyone before, and making him feel excited as the time passes by. Taemin suggests extreme sports as an activity that he and his wife can do together and Key makes fun of him.
“You’re not just hanging out with a friend! You’re going on a date with someone you could do skinship with.”

“Ah. Skinship.” Taemin blushes at the suggestion.

“How do I start skinship?” He asks the hyungs.
“Well, suggest going somewhere with her and just grab her hand naturally. Like this.” Onew smoothly grabs Taemin’s hand.
Taemin laughs.
“Well... what about putting her seatbelt on for her?” He tries to demostrate on Key putting an imaginary seatbelt on him while making full eye contact.
Key laughs out of Taemin’s non experience.
“Not like that! That’s embarrassing!” Key exclaims.
“Not like that?” Taemin asks with his embarrassed smile.

“No! If you do it like that it’s too ual.”

“ual???” Taemin laughs and tries putting the imaginary seatbelt on while facing the complete opposite direction as Key.
“No! NO. Don’t be ridiculous, just look at the seatbelt.” Key demonstrates seamlessly. 

Taemin looks at Key amazed. Wow just the simple task of putting on a seatbelt shows his inexperience.
“Text me later.”
“I understand.”
“No really. Text me later, I’m really worried about you.” Key says.
“Okay! That was perfect. Our next filming is next week we will meet at the airport to head to Jeju island.”
Taemin gulps.
