Today was Saturday so there’s no school but Junsu already missed his friends. Even though he had just seen them yesterday at school, he felt terribly lonely playing alone in his room. Sighing, Junsu got up from his bed as he looked at photos Jaejoong gave him for their beach trip. They looked so happy there.

“Suie, come on! We need to get ready!” a boy around his age spoke as he entered Junsu’s room. He was wearing casual cloth and smiled carved on his face, which looked so much alike Junsu.

“Junho hyung, where’re we going?” Junsu asked his twin older brother.

“We’re going to the new mall, come on!” Junho said excitedly as he helped Junsu changed his cloth.

“Yey, going out with hyung after a long time!” Junsu cheered when he finished as Junho patted his head.

They’re twin but they lived separately. Junsu still didn’t get why their parents had to have two different houses. He lived with their mother as Junho lived with their father. Sometime they would meet on weekends and it brightened Junsu’s day like today.

“Boys, are you done?” their mom’s voice echoed as they cheerfully replied. Soon enough, they got into their car and departed to their destination. Junsu couldn’t help but to be excited over new kids’ attraction at the mall, which his brother told him about.

Soon, they got there and after parking the car, Junsu walked in the middle, holding Junho’s and his mother’s hand. He felt so happy and wished time would stop. He just wished their father could be there. Their mother said their father had to work and Junsu decided to believe it. He was too young to understand complicated things.

“Junho ah, Junsu ah…I have to go somewhere. I’ll be back in one hour. Play and behave well okay?” their mother spoke as they got inside the new kids’ attraction. It was like all you want to play place where you’re registered for certain hour. Junsu gave his mother a peck on the cheek as goodbye and so was Junho.

As their mother waved away, Junsu began to look around. He discovered a dolphin-shaped seesaw and pointed to it excitedly. Junho knew exactly what Junsu wanted so they rushed there and played together.

“Hyung, you see, I have one precious friend who likes sea animal, like dolphin, so much!” Junsu began to talk,” His name is Yoochunnie and he’s a merman…”

“Really?” Junho asked; he was happy Junsu made friends on school. They went to different school because their circumstances and sometime, Junho worried Junsu didn’t have any friend. He used to be a magnet to no one except Junho after all.

“Yes! Chunnie is really nice. He taught me how to swim and he protected me,” Junsu continued,” I love him very much, hyung…”

Okay, that wasn’t something Junho expected. He had no idea Junsu had gone attracted to someone that deep. He somehow wanted to meet this ‘Yoochunnie merman fella’ so badly. He didn’t want Junsu to get hurt so he wanted to make sure this ‘Yoochunnie merman fella’ was really a good person.

“Suie!” suddenly a voice startled Junho as a boy ran into his precious Junsu and hugged him.

“Omoo! Chunnie! What are you doing here?” Junsu was as surprised as Junho.

“My parents have something to do so they let me play here,” Yoochun explained,” Though I prefer to sleep since it’s holiday…But I’m happy I came here. I meet you Suie ah…”

“Ehem,” Junho got up from his seesaw seat as he stood next to Yoochun, who looked at him in shocked eyes. Well, he was sure the stunned merman wondered why he looked so much alike as Junsu, who he still hugged.

“Oh, Chunnie, meet my twin older brother, Junho,” Junsu introduced them,” Hyung, this’s Chunnie, the one I told you before…”

“Um, hello, my name is Park Yoochun,” Yoochun introduced himself and he had no idea why he was as stiff as a surfing board,” Nice to meet you, Junho hyung.”

“…Nice to meet you too,” Junho said as he stared at those eyes in intimidating stare for a while before smiled. Yoochun could feel shiver on his spine; it was like someone waited for him to make mistake.

“Hyung! Chunnie! Let’s try that!” Junsu, who’s oblivious to everything said as he pointed into a haunted house. Yoochun gulped, why Junsu ah, why of all free attraction out there he had to choose haunted house. Yoochun couldn’t take ghost, Kyuhyun was the only exception.

“Sure!” Junho smiled as the three of them rushed into the haunted house entrance. Yoochun closed his eyes as he took a deep breath. He couldn’t chicken out now; he needed to prove he’s strong enough to protect Junsu if it was needed, especially in front of Junsu’s hyung.

“Let’s go,” Yoochun said in stern voice as he braved himself. So they got inside, he and Junsu were first as Junho followed behind. He didn’t realize Junsu was holding his hand all the way.

“It’s okay, Chunnie, I’m here,” Junsu whispered softly as he held Yoochun’s trembling hands,”I’ll protect you from the bad ghost…”

“I’m fine, Suie…No, I’ll protect you this time,” Yoochun marked his word as Junho watched the whole scene. He decided to observe for now. Soon enough, screams could be heard as a hairy woman doll came out of nowhere. Both Junsu and Yoochun cried out but somehow Yoochun managed to shield Junsu from the scary puppet. It repeated again and again until Junho couldn’t take it anymore.

“You two, walk behind me,” Junho finally spoke as he took the lead. Another scary puppet came out but Junho pushed it away. Junsu and Yoochun were at loss of word how calm Junho was. Soon, they came out and Yoochun thanked God to not let his heart stopped.

“Hyung, I’m so glad you’re with us,” Junsu sighed as he pulled Junho into a hug,” I and Chunnie will probably cry and stop in the middle of it if you’re not there…”

“Suie, no more haunted house if you’re not with me okay?” Junho reminded,” Now, can you get us some drinks?”

“Sure!” Junsu walked away toward the free drink stall as he got three cups and started filling them, leaving Yoochun with Junho.

“Um…” Yoochun didn’t know what to say.

“I can see both of you like each other,” Junho’s bold declaration wasn’t something Yoochun expected,” You seem like a nice guy, Yoochun. Junsu likes and thinks highly of you and you make him happy. So I’m thankful for you.”

Yoochun didn’t know what to say so he stayed silent as Junho continued.

“You see, our parents aren’t in best of term and I can rarely see Junsu because we live separately,” Junho’s explanation left Yoochun surpised,” He used to be closed up to everyone except me because of it but I discover somehow you have fixed that.”

“It’s not only me, there’re also Yunho hyung, Jaejoong hyung, Changmin and Kyuhyun,” Yoochun finally said as he bit his lips. He had no idea his sparkling bright Junsu used to be like that.

“Well, I can’t wait to meet all of them to show them my gratitude,” Junho said,” But note this, Yoochun. I won’t stay down if any of you hurt Junsu, especially you because Junsu said he loves you…”

If Yoochun’s jaw could drop on the floor, it would. He was embarrassed because Junsu had told Junho their mutual feelings and he was speechless being praised and then threatened in the same sentence.

“Hyung! Chunnie! Drinks!” Junsu came back with three glass of lemonade, oblivious to everything like usual. Yoochun gulped in down in one go as Junsu wondered if Yoochun was that thirsty.

“I like him, Suie,” Junho spoke as Junsu cheered.

“See? I told you,” Junsu smiled as he pulled Yoochun and Junho into a group hug,” I’m happy we’re all getting along.”

“…Yeah,” Yoochun smiled, half really happy, half relief. Well, that’s the story how Yoochun met the first member of Junsu’s family. He liked Junho, he’s cool, but sometime he couldn’t help but to feel intimidated.

In the end, Junho and Junsu got home when their mom fetched them. Yoochun also went home with his parents. It was an exciting and happy day for Junsu, a trilling and nerve-breaking day for Yoochun. For Junho…he didn’t give any comment.
