“Can I be the leader?” Yunho suddenly stood up.  Jaejoong was amazed by how brave Yunho was. They did the birth date introduction before so somehow Jaejoong was afraid he had to be the leader since he’s the oldest one.

“Approved,” Changmin spoke up, he prefer to ‘control’ the group silently so he didn’t want to be the leader figure; the vampire was more than glad that Yunho volunteered. The rest was surprised but they gave a nod after few seconds.

“Then, what will our group name be?” Yoochun asked.

“Um…Bambi’s Knight?” Yunho suggested as he remembered a movie he loved a lot.

“How about Friendly Creature?” Junsu joined in as his eyes blinked in excitement.

“No, no, no,” Changmin disapproved,” We need a cool, strong, and catchy name.”

“Cat---what?” Junsu couldn’t catch the word and so did the others. Little they knew, one of them actually got the word. Jaejoong loved to read so he had deeper knowledge than boy around his age. As a shy elf boy, book was his only friend, at least until now.  Jaejoong was looking down on the floor as he thought he had a good name but he was too afraid the others would laugh at his idea.

“Jaejoongie?” Yunho’s voice woke Jaejoong from his daydream.

“Um…Ummm, I have an idea,” Jaejoong forced himself to talk; he needed to be brave, he told himself,” What about Cassiopeia?”

“…Is that a food?” Changmin was the first one asked.

“It’s a plant name, right?” Junsu butted in.

“No, I think it’s a rare fish,” Yoochun commented.

“Wow, slow down,” Yunho began to act like a leader as he controlled the flow of the conversation,” Let Jaejoongie explains, okay?”

“It’s a constellation, I mean, star name,” Jaejoong spoke as finally looked up to the others,” It is shaped like the alphabet ‘M’ in spring and ‘W’ in summer. It’s so beautiful and has five bright stars. I’m thinking since there are five of us, we can be each other light…Um…Something like that…”

“…Approved,” Changmin was the first one to agree as the others were still in awe. They really didn’t expect such detailed explanation came from the elf.

 “I love it! Cool stars!” Junsu cheered as Yoochun nodded.

“Um, Yunnie?” Jaejoong was afraid the leader didn’t like his idea since the dragon boy’s jaw was literally still on the floor.

“...Jaejoongie,” Yunho took a deep breath as he stood up and walked toward Jaejoong, he pulled the elf boy into a hug suddenly,” You’re brilliant! I know I can count on you since the first time I saw you! Hehe~ I like Jaejoongie so much!”

Jaejoong was surprised by the sudden outburst of Yunho. Junsu was touching his cheek with his palms as he blushed at the sight. Yoochun looked away because he couldn’t stand Junsu’s glowing cute face. Changmin literally almost puked all the blood he had drank. What had he gotten himself to?

“Everyone, listen up,” the teacher suddenly spoke,” Leader of each group, please come in front of the class and tell the class their group name. After that we will have our first group game!”

Yunho stood up as he walked to the class front. He spoke proudly of his group name as he winked to Jaejoong. The elf boy looked down to hide his blushing cheek. After that, the teacher gave each group leader a paper with instruction on it.

“What’s it?” Changmin asked curiously as Yunho came back to the group.

“Umm, we need to search five human tools. We can only search in the school area and we must not leave the school area. The time limit is before the sun rises. The tools are limited so we’re going to compete with other groups,” Yunho explained.

“Where are we going to get human tool?” Junsu pouted.

“We need to get out of here first,” Changmin pointed out as he realized the teacher was leaving the classroom. They knew their study is different from normal school; they’re expected to be independent from the first day since they’re way smarter and stronger than human. Yet, Changmin knew the teacher would look out for them in the dark. If the condition got out of hand, the teacher would act.

“So what’s the first tool clue?” Jaejoong asked. Somehow he began to feel comfortable talking now, not just with Yunho, but with the rest of the group.

“Human uses this to take or put small amount of soil. It looks like big spoon,” Yunho read it out.

“Let’s search the school garden then,” Yoochun suggested as the other agreed.  Junsu smiled as he heard the word ‘garden’. That meant there would be a lot of flower and Junsu’s favorite plant is flower.

The five boys went through the hall as they followed the sign. After few turns, they could see the school garden. It was dark since it was night but lamps made it bright enough for them to search. They could see few other groups were also there. They didn’t want to lose so they began to search their best.

Yoochun was looking around as something caught his eyes. There’s a beautiful fountain in the middle of the garden and the merman boy couldn’t help but to feel tempted. He walked toward the fountain as he put his palm inside the water.

It was chilly good, Yoochun loved it so much. He almost jumped into the water but stopped when he saw something shiny on grass nearby. It shaped like big spoon and Yoochun realized that moment it was the tool they’re supposed to get. It’s a small shovel.

“Junsu!” Yoochun called Junsu who’s nearer to the shovel. He pointed to the shovel direction in panic as he realized another group member had found it too. There’s no way Yoochun or Junsu could take it first as they’re farther away.

Just when the other group member’s hand almost touched it, a green root pulled the shovel away. It landed on Junsu’s hand. Yoochun couldn’t help but cheered as he rushed to Junsu’s side. They got their first tool. Both of them were cheering so happily until they didn’t realize another boy was right in front of them. It was no other than the boy who almost got the tool before.

“That belongs to me!” the boy shouted in mean and intimidating voice.

Junsu was startled as he pushed on the ground. The mean boy took the shovel from crying Junsu but before he could do much, he was thrown away by a wave of water out of nowhere. The mean boy let go of the shovel as a water bubble caught the shovel and brought it back to Yoochun’s hand.

“That’s what you get for hurting Junsu!” Yoochun shouted; even the merman boy didn’t recognize his voice. He never felt as angry as this in his whole life. Yet, he could care less. Someone had hurt his shining innocent favorite Junsu.

“Are you okay?” Yoochun asked worriedly as he helped Junsu to get up.

“…I’m fine,” Junsu wiped his tears,” Thank you, Chunnie..”

Yoochun blushed a little as he realized the nickname Junsu had gave him. He liked it though.

“What happened?” Yunho asked as he got into the scene with Jaejoong and Changmin. The mean boy began to back away.

Changmin could guess what happened as he gave death stare to the mean boy. The boy shivered and cried as he ran away. Yunho and Jaejoong had no idea what the vampire had done to the boy, but they’re glad Junsu and Yoochun were okay.

“Next time, let’s search together, okay?” Yunho suggested as he made sure Junsu was okay. The nymph boy nodded as he regained his smile. Yoochun gave the shovel back to Junsu as the rest of them were cheering happily they found the first tool.

“Now, let’s get the next one!”
