Chapter 1

The loss hour

Wooyoung was packing up after another day of dance class. He sighs tiredly.

“I’ll be facing this all over again tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and the next day to come.” He sighs again.

“I need a break.” He shouts as he lies on the dance floor. He closes his eyes to get a bit of rest when his ears catch a faint chuckle. Wooyoung sit up instantly, feeling alarms.

“I’m supposed to be alone.” He thought nervously as he starts scanning his surroundings. That’s when his eyes caught a blur image of a man, sitting not far from him. Wooyoung blinks his eyes several times to get a clearer vision and widen his eyes in shock as the man is still there. Wooyoung gulps.

“Is that really a man?” Wooyoung thought nervously. He feels sudden cold ran throughout his body when his eyes catch the man staring silently back at him. Wooyoung despite being afraid can swears he feels the sudden sadness overwhelming him. The man looks so sad.

“W…Wh…Who are you?” Wooyoung asks trying his best to sound confident and brave but the stutters give him away. The man raises his head at Wooyoung’s voice and stands from where he’s sitting. He starts taking steps closer toward Wooyoung. Wooyoung, scared out of his wits moves backwards and starts looking around looking for something in a desperate attempt to defend himself, and when he turns back the wan was gone.

“W…Wh…What the?” He voiced out before reaching out for his bag and starts rushing out of the dance studio, stumbling at the stairs along his ways, clearly scared out of his life.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

“Woo, do you need anything else?” Wooyoung’s roommate/ bestfriend, Junho asks him looking worried. Wooyoung who is lying under the cover, down with high fever out of shock because of the experience simply shakes his head. Wooyoung sighs when Junho left him.

“I do need a break, but I don’t plan for it to be like this.” Wooyoung can’t help but whine. He decides that he should rest a bit more when Junho comes in looking more worried compare to before.

“I’m sorry for coming in so sudden but I think you need to come out, Woo.” Junho said with a frown. Wooyoung despite being confuse, gestures toward Junho to help him up, and when he steps into the living room, a man in black suit catches his view. Wooyoung gulps nervously when Junho guides him to sit right in front of the mysterious man.

“Jang Wooyoung shi, I presumed?” The man starts speaking and Wooyoung nods instinctively.

“I’m Kim Minjun. I’m here to talk about the inheritance that is name as yours and it is of utmost urgency that we…” Minjun paused and raised his head to look at Wooyoung who stops him.

“W…wait…wait a minute. What are you talking about? Inheritance? Me? Did anything happen to my parent? I’ve been on call with them earlier this morning!” Wooyoung asks clearly freaking out. Junho looks alarm too. Minjun still keep his calm demeanor.

“Mr. Jang, I’m sorry for asking. But, you’re adopted correct?” Minjun asks calm and Wooyoung frowns at the question.

“Just Wooyoung. Yes, I’m adopted.” Wooyoung assures as Minjun looks at him with a solemn face.

“My deepest condolences, but I have to inform you that your biological mother had passed away yesterday morning.” Minjun informs making Wooyoung frowns harder.

“My real mother? How about my father?” Wooyoung asks, his voice starts to shake. Junho feeling Wooyoung tensing up pats his shoulder lightly as a sign of support.

“Mr. Jang had also passed away 5 years earlier.” Minjun speaks slowly as in whisper and Wooyoung feels lost. He doesn’t know what to say or what to feel for that matter. He doesn’t even have the slightest clue that his real parent was alive only to get the news that they had passed away.

“Oh, they were Jang too.” Wooyoung seems lost for what to say. Minjun nods.

“Yes, the late Mr. and Mrs. Jang went to great length to make sure that you’ll keep the family name.” Minjun explains. This makes Wooyoung explodes.

“If that’s so important to them, why they bother sending me away in the first place?” Wooyoung asks angrily. Minjun still look pretty calm, despite Wooyoung outburst.

“That’s the reason why I’m here Wooyoung shi. I can explain everything you want to know as long as it’s in my power to do so; however it is of utmost urgency that I legally name you as the heir first.” Minjun explains as he pushes some kind of documents toward Wooyoung. Wooyoung stares at the paper blankly.

“W…Why?” Wooyoung asks in confusion. Minjun gives an assuring smile.

“It’s important so you can go.” Minjun answers slow almost in whisper making Wooyoung frowns again.

“Where?” Wooyoung asks unsure.

“Your mother’s funeral.” Minjun informs and Junho feels how Wooyoung tenses all over again.

“Can I come with him?” Junho offers out of sudden and that makes Minjun smiles in relief.

“That is very much appreciated. Wooyoung shi, if you please…” Minjun gestures so that Wooyoung sign the paper. Wooyoung reaches out for the document and somehow cut himself. Bloods are dripping on the line where he supposed to sign his name.

“Oh god, I’m sorry. I’ll clean them up.” Wooyoung panics as he searches for something to clean the mess but stop when Minjun grab his wrist.

“Don’t worry; I expect something like that to happen. Just please…sign your name next to the blood drop.” Minjun said looking very concern at Wooyoung. Wooyoung stares confusedly. After Wooyoung finish signing his name, Minjun packs fast. He looks like he’s late for something.

“Wooyoung shi please packs everything you need for the journey. I’ll come in the evening to pick you and your friend. Now, I’ll excuse myself.” Minjun said as he stands up. He walks toward the door guided by Junho but stop when Junho’s hand touches the door handle. Minjun turns around. Wooyoung immediately sees the hesitation flashes in Minjun’s eyes.

“I hope he hasn’t come to visit you yet.” Minjun speaks slows barely can be heard as Wooyoung stares at him in confusion. As when the words sink in, the image of the man Wooyoung saw in the dance studio flashes through his mind. His eyes widen and his body tenses immediately. Minjun who’s staring at him silently notice the tension surrounding Wooyoung and he release a heavy sigh.

“I’m afraid he already did.” Minjun speaks looking somewhat sorry and sad.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

The journey was taking a long time and Wooyoung feels his heart beats faster when the car that brought him and Junho slowing down and stop. It was raining heavily outside as he looks at Junho nervously. Junho gives him a small smile as an assurance. Wooyoung is already wearing the cloth Minjun hand to him earlier. Junho slides closer to Wooyoung to joins him as Wooyoung scans the surrounding from the window. They are so many people in black.

“Woo, I think your late parents were super-duper rich.” Junho comments as he examines the surrounding. Wooyoung was not so much in shock. He had his doubt when his adopted parents gave him his monthly allowance. The amount given to him was not possible considering his parents paycheck and that’s all makes sense to him today. Wooyoung was ready to step out of the car when the door of the car is being open from outside.

“Hyung, sorry I’m late.” An Italian looking man greets Minjun from outside as he shield Wooyoung from the heavy rain under the umbrella he’s holding.

“It’s ok Chansung. In this weather? I’m happy enough that you’re able to come here with umbrella for all of us.” Minjun answers as he guides Junho to follows him.

“Are you fine with me?” Minjun asks and Junho simply nods.

“Mr. Jang, I’m Hwang Chansung and I’ll be your guide from now on. Chansung introduces himself formally while smiling toward Wooyoung.

“Please, just Wooyoung.” Wooyoung said as he follows Chansung to where the ceremony takes place. The weather keeps getting worse. The winds speeding up and it sound like its howling in pain. Thunder continuously striking every 15 seconds and the rain was so heavy it feels like an ocean raining on them.

“This feels like a horror movies.” Junho comments making all the faces there tighten.

“It’s not the right time to joke, Nuneo.” Wooyoung reminded making Junho gasps in embarrassment.

“It’s getting worse. It wasn’t this bad during Mr. Jang funeral.” Minjun points out as he scans the sky. Chansung looks toward the sky too.

“You know how he is with Mrs. Jang hyung. Nichkhun hyung said that he was furious and in despair. Mrs. Jang shut him out completely in her last moment.” Chansung explains. Wooyoung and Junho look at each other in wonder.

“Who are they talking about?” Both of them thought.

“Did Nichkhun see him?”  Minjun asks after a moment. Chansung heave a deep sigh.

“You know Nichkhun hyung always did. The problem is, now everyone sees him. He’s there.” Chansung informs making Minjun gasps and stops in his track. He turns to look at Wooyoung worriedly.

“Channie, are you sure we should be doing this?” Minjun asks as guilt starts consuming him. Guilt is all over Chansung’s face too.

“We don’t really have any choice hyung. The weather has been like this almost a week. It won’t die down if we didn’t.” Chansung reminded feeling sorry and Minjun groans in despair.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

They brought Wooyoung into some kind of hall. Wooyoung was asked to enter alone. Wooyoung steps nervously into the room while Junho was asked to follow Minjun and Chansung. Wooyoung looks confusedly at the scenery presented to him.

“That was totally weird.” he thought when he sees how everyone in the room squeezing themselves so close to each other while trying to be as near as they can be to the wall. That action leaves the centre of the room empty safe for two men.

“He must be some kind of important person.” Wooyoung presume as he steps closer. One of them is clearly hunching on the floor obviously crying his heart out. Wooyoung can feel the total despair coming from the man. Another man, who was standing as tall as Chansung, frowning his thick eyebrows looking at the man sitting on the floor. Wooyoung can feel the overwhelming sympathy and sorrow as he catches the glint in the standing man’s eyes.

“Is it ok for me to be here?” Wooyoung wonders. He takes a step closer when his ears catch a soft whisper, almost inaudible.

“You’re finally here, my beloved.” The whisper was so soft and Wooyoung feels like it was dancing in the air. Out of sudden, the surrounding grows eerily silent. It was so quiet that Wooyoung swears it was possible to hear his own heartbeat. The tall man with the thick eyebrows turns his head in alarm and when his eyes catch Wooyoung, his expression turns grim suddenly.

“What is he doing here? Get him out!” He shouts angrily and his voice commanding. Hearing him, Chansung rushes toward Wooyoung looking very sorry.

“I’m very sorry Wooyoung. But I need to take you away.” Chansung informs pulling the confuse Wooyoung out of the room.

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Wooyoung watches as Chansung carefully pour hot tea into the cup in front of him. He looks somewhat nervous. Wooyoung waits for Chansung to pull himself together. It had always been Wooyoung’s gift. He can feel people emotion; it was so loud and clear.

“Have I done anything wrong earlier?” Wooyoung asks when he sense that Chansung has calm down. Chansung shook his head immediately.

“It’s not your fault Wooyoung. Really, Nichkhun hyung was on edge. That man had been like that for a week. Nichkhun hyung was at the end of his patient.

“I bet Nichkhun is the guy that screams at me?” Wooyoung asks calmly trying to lighten up the situation.

“Oh, you must forgive Nichkhun hyung. He wasn’t always like that.” Chansung pleads and Wooyoung simply nods. Chansung smiles in relief.

“Earlier, when I hold you, I notice that you have a slight temperature. Do you need any medicine?” Chansung asks trying to change the conversation. Wooyoung notices and he smiles.

“I almost forgot that I’m down with a slight fever. But it’s ok. I’ll be fine.” Wooyoung assures. He stays silent as he contemplates whether he should ask the question or not.

“If it’s ok with you, can I know who is the man sitting on the floor?” Wooyoung can’t help but asks and he knows that his curiosity will be the end of his when Wooyoung sees Chansung turns pale white at the question.

“He seem like he had saw a ghost.” Wooyoung thought examining Chansung.

“I…I…I’m sorry. But…it’s really not my place to tell you.” Chansung stutters horribly and Wooyoung almost feels sorry, almost because his curiosity once again kicks in.

“Then, who should I asks?” Wooyoung pushes more but then the room grew silent out of sudden. Chansung freezes and Wooyoung can’t help being amused seeing how it is possible that Chansung can turn paler than he already is.

“My beloved, I’ve been looking…” come the whispers and Wooyoung feels shiver running throughout his body. Wooyoung looks at Chansung and sees the man closing his eyes tight and freeze in his place.

“It wasn’t Chansung. So from where the whisper comes from.” Wooyoung thought freaking out as he scans around the room. Then he stops when his eyes caught the figure standing at the door. The figure was a bit blurry but Wooyoung can still see him. Squinting his already small eyes Wooyoung recognize the figure almost instantly.

“That was the man I saw in that room earlier.” Wooyoung realizes and he tries to put a brave front. Wooyoung gulps as he sees the man stepping closer to him. The man was so close when Wooyoung looks away towards the door as he hears someone shouts in anger.

“Ok Taecyeon! You better show yourself right in front of me this instance before I make you feel sorry the rest of your sorry life.”  Wooyoung flinches at the voices. There were many intense emotions interlacing the words. The most prominent one is the pleading to stop. Little that Wooyoung knows that he’s the only one able to hear the voice. He turns around to look at the man but everything turns black.

Chapter 21: I'm sorry for the late comment authornim! I've read the latest chapter at least 3 times tbh I loved it xD The family tree looks veeery complex but I'm relieved I finally can understand it more! Now, about the chapter. Junho tho... I wonder where his curiousity will bring him into xD I LOVED Taec's confession it really seems sincere and I cried a little every time Taec repeated those words. I completely understand how Woo felt, and I completely understand how Taec felt too. My heart clenched at the end of the chapter and I just can't wait for you to continue!! Ps. I'm certainly okay for this to be developed into m-rated story! I'm kind of looking forward to it to be honest!! :D

Chapter 21: Ooooo, rated m is it? I really feel bad for Taec. Woo is confuse with this ambigous relationship. I hope Woo gets to realise his true feelings. Taec needs to end this with someone he love.
Thank you author

Chapter 20: Every chapter is getting better and better. I LOVE how you wrote the scene where Wooyoung finally set his mind aside and just (not-so-boldly) asked Taec to open his shirt. It's just beyond my expectation. I thought they would just see each other's chests and then nothing else would happen. But the scene you wrote were much better than my imagination xD I cannot deny that I read that particular section over and over becoz I just can't get over it.

What's the format of the family tree authornim? If it's an image then you could probably just upload it as one in a chapter or upload it in an image hosting site like tinypic(.)com? If it's in another format then I'd have to know the format of the family tree to help you out :D

Aside from the family tree confusion, this was a very refreshing chapter indeed. Thank you for your hard work, authornim! Can't wait to read more! :D

Chapter 20: Aigoo, Woo blush so much in this chapter. So shy about it. Ugh, the perks of having Taec as his guardian. He can just ask Taec to show off his body.

Chapter 19: My favorite Taecwoo story, really... I was so entertained by every single thing in this update, authornim. Wooyoung with make up (xD), the quarrels between the brothers (I actually wished that there should be a civil fight between the two but I prefer peace over war), and the fact that Meanie!Nichkhun was actually just being mean in a good way... Hahaha

I am really looking forward to how Wooyoung is affected by Meanie!Nichkhun. Wooyoung is just too aforable everytime Taec does something unexpected xD Let's face it. Your updates keep on getting better and better and I'm now fully attached to this story, authornim. Please take my heart.

For the family tree, maybe you should upload it as an image on the next update? I can't wait to see it! Thank you for, yet again, a great update, authornim!! :)

Chapter 18: Woahhh. I really love how the plot is developing into... I enjoyed reading your update authornim!! The end with Wooyoung chanting "Bad Wooyoung..." is too adorable. I love how Wooyoung was slowly accepting his feelings for Taec, but still confused to have a say in their 'relationship'.

The relationship between Taec and Junho was also interesting to read and I love how you described Taec's painful moments; it made my heart clenched a bit hahaha. I like the thought of Meanie!Nichkhun, but I also think at the end of the day Wooyoungie would let Taec do it naturally, or am I wrong? Hahahaa.

I really look forward for the next chapter! Thank you for updating! :D
