Soohyun POV
Saving Soohyun“Mr. Kim! Please! I’m begging you!”
Lee Jinki and I ran back towards Kibum’s office.
Secretary Hong was clutching onto Kibum’s suit jacket while two guards dragged a man away.
He flailed his limbs and screamed the same things over again.
My body shivered at the sound of his voice.
There was something familiar about it.
A voice that Hyerim’s body reacted to.
“Key! Are you okay?” Jinki called out, running up to his friend.
Kibum adjusted his necktie and looked on in amazement.
“I-I’m fine.”
I stood next to Jinki and turned in the direction that the man was being pulled.
He was throwing his head back, still kicking and screaming.
I squinted my eyes to make out his face.
A part of me wishes I hadn’t.
Upon glimpsing his face, my knees buckled.
Jinki was the first to notice, quickly kneeling beside me to catch me.
Kibum then looked down, his frightened brown eyes boring into mine.
He swiftly opened his office door, where Jinki carried me in and sat me down in Kibum’s chair.
Secretary Hong exited and closed the door behind her, leaving me alone with Kibum and Jinki.
“Eunji! Eunji! Are you okay?” Jinki’s soft hand cupped my cheek.
I looked around dazedly before focusing on Jinki’s face.
“Yes, I-I’m fine. Thank you.”
Kibum handed me a cup of water and sat on the edge of his desk. His brows were furrowed in concern.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Kibum asked.
I nodded despite the fact that my body felt lighter than air.
“What about you? Did that guy hurt you?” I questioned.
He scoffed and quirked his lips into a conceited grin.
“Please, he didn’t stand a chance.”
“What did he say to you?” Jinki questioned.
My ears perked up, eager to hear the conversation that was held between Kibum and the man.
