The Fifth Tale

Voices. Everywhere. They wouldn't leave. Screaming his name. 

He clenched his fists. His arms wrapped around his legs. Jongup sat in the darkness.

He wanted them to leave. He wanted them to disappear. But they stayed. 

He squeezed his eyes closed. Tears forming in the corners. His legs up to his chest, arms wrapped around them. 

"No. Stop it. Please, stop it." He cried, but no one heard. 

Continuously. Again and again. Lies. Fibs. Tales. But no one listened to him. They just continued on. 

"Stupid."

"Bastard."

"Freak." 

"Useless." 

"Ugly." 

Alone, in the darkness. His tears began to fall. 

But there was no one there. No one to hold him, comfort him. 

Was he really useless?

Was he really unwanted?

Did he have no place in this world?
