AON ALL OR NOTHING
"Leaving?" I heard Dara's melodic voice asking from behind me. I had just stepped out of my office and my back was to her. "Yeah." I replied without turning around. I was still upset that she dismissed the kiss we shared as nothing. I stood there waiting for her to say something else, anything, just so I could hear her voice because I was that pathetic. I was pathetically in love with a woman who only thought of me as a little boy. When she still didn't say anything more I was tempted to turn around too see if she was still there but I stopped myself. I had told myself I wouldn't continue to desperately follow after her like an obsessed fanboy.
I walked away.
In my car I rested my head on my steering wheel and let out a deep sigh. OK I couldn't dwell on Dara though. I had a job to do.
Sitting outside in my car I watched Xiumin enter a cafe and sit down. He had a window seat so I could easily see him from where I sat. I had been watching whom, following him by step for five hours now and still no suspicious activities. I kept my eyes trained on him. He was obviously waiting for someone but who? I grabbed the sand which I had resting on the passengers seat and took a big bite. As I chewed eagerly a girl appeared and sat across from Xiumin. I almost spit out my sandwhich. What was she doing here?
Naeun reached out and linked her fingers with Xiumin across the table. What was going on? Why was Minzy's little sister with him? Knowing how dangerous Xiumin most likely was I wanted to go over there and pull Naeun away but I couldn't reveal myself. I didn't know what the situation was. All I could do was watch. They laughed, and ate, and touched each other a lot. It seemed like they were on a date. As the sky got darker Naeun stood up to leave. She must've been heading home.
When Naeun left Xiumin got into his car and I followed. He parked and got out and walked down a dark alley. Of course it was a dark alley. Why couldn't criminals ever pick a bright and sunny park or something for their illegal meetings. I waited a few minutes ensuring that he was far enough ahead of me before getting out of the car. I quietly walked down the alley until I heard voices. I hid behind a stack of barrels and cautiously peeked out.
"They found the listening device. We're going to have to move up the timetable. They're getting to close to us." A guy I've never seen before said.
