When they all reached their stop, Hana quickly bids goodbye to Taehyung and got out of the bus. She hurriedly went to the spot where the puppies were and saw them asleep. She quickly took out some dog food out of her bag and placed it in their bowl that she bought a couple months ago. The puppies woke up to the sound of food being poured out and slowly opened their eyes. They quickly got out of their box and ran to Hana.

Hey little guys. Sorry I was late. She said as she patted them.

Here, you must be every hungry. Eat up! She cheerfully added.

Hana waited for them to finish eating and sang them to sleep. She didn’t care if people thought she was weird, at least the puppies are safe and healthy. After they fell asleep, Hana quietly went back to her apartment and got ready for her night shift at the nearby bakery/café.

Meanwhile, the Bangtan boys were already in their living room, getting ready for dinner. Taehyung couldn’t get the thought of Hana out of his mind. It’s been a long time since anyone talked to him without screaming or saying bad things about him. He was also happy that she gave him a nickname, orenji.  

Yah, Taehyung! Stop smiling. It’s creepy. Hoseok said, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts.

It’s not creepy hyung. It’s fabulous. Taehyung replied, giving Hoseok a big smile.

Hoseok cringed and made a disgusted face. The others just chuckled at their playfulness.

Oh, by the way, who was the girl you were talking to earlier on the bus? Seokjin asked.

Song Hana-shii. Taehyung simply answered.

When Jimin and Hoseok heard her name, they instantly ran to Taehyung’s side.

Our group mate?! The one that smiled at us earlier?? Jimin asked, earning a nod from Taehyung.

Did she swear at you or made fun of you like the other girls? Hoseok asked.

Ani!! She was actually pretty nice… and cute! She gave me a nickname too. Taehyung smiled even wider.

Aww, is our Taehyungie falling in love?? Yoongi teased.

Taehyung’s face turned red and he quickly shook his hands to deny it.

No! It’s just that it’s been a long time since a girl talked to me nicely. It felt really refreshing and warm. Taehyung quickly said.

The others let another chuckle and nodded. What he said was true. Every girl they came across with for the past month has been nothing close to nice. Whenever a girl saw them, they would always shout something mean or swear at them. Even their fans became their anti-fans. It was all because someone hacked their twitters and started posting rude comments about a famous group, Exo. They started getting lots of hate until the company couldn’t hand it anymore. Their company didn’t want to get a bad reputation, so they kicked them out. What made the girls hate them more was that an insider told a famous newspaper that they had once beaten up some Exo members, which caused more controversy. Now, Bangtan didn’t want to have anything to do with being idols or K-pop in general. They would write songs from time to time, but they would just keep it to themselves. Now, they want to follow their other dreams. Some want to be doctors, others businessman. They’ll focus on any job, except for being idols. They despise the idol world and how it treated them.

The next day, Hana woke up later than usual. She only had 15 minutes left before school started and hurriedly ran to the bathroom. She took a quick shower and didn’t bother eating breakfast. She ran to the bus stop and managed to get on a leaving bus. When the bus arrived 5 minutes later, she ran to her homeroom and walked casually to her seat. She barely made it to school with only 30 seconds left till the bell rings. Her heart was pounding hard and her face was red from the running. She quickly took out some capsules from her bag and swallowed them to ease her pounding heart.

As a kid, Hana would always catch viruses. She would get fevers often and heart aches. She also had asthma, so she would always need to be careful to not overwork her heart and lungs. She would go to the doctor once a month for a monthly check up and more medicine. Her grandmother used to tell her that it was all because she was born premature.

Bangtan came in just 10 seconds after her. Their faces were red and covered with sweat. The girl in the room gave them dirty stares and started whispering. BTS, who tried ignoring them, walked to their seats. Taehyung spotted Hana, who had her head on the table, and smiled. He happily walked up to his seat ,which was next to hers, and sat down.

Hana couldn’t help but felt like someone was starring at her. She slowly turned her head to the side and caught Taehyung’s eyes.

Anyeong, orenji. She greeted tiredly. Her head was spinning and her heart still hurt.

Anyeong.. are you okay? Taehyung asked.

He noticed how weak her voice was and couldn’t help but worry. She replied with a small nod and closed her eyes. When the class started, Hana fell asleep while holding her chest. Taehyung, who noticed her tiredness let her be and left her to sleep. He tried to cover her sleeping face when the teacher was looking at them and pretended to talk to her. the girls around gave Hana death glares and whispered things to each other. Although they hated Bangtan, they also hated anyone who came near them.

Hana slept for 2 more periods and felt refreshed. She looked up at the board and realized that it was math time. She groaned loudly and caught Taehyung’s attention.

Oh, you’re awake. Taehyung smiled.

She replied with a nod and took out her notebook. There was only 10 minutes left before lunch and she was too lazy to finish the problems on the board. She didn’t really know how to solve them either, so she just doodled until class ended.

For the rest of the day, Taehyung couldn’t help but stalk Hana a bit. When she was her coming out from the classroom, she followed her to the nurse’s office. He found out that it was where she ate lunch and he took note of that. Bangtan also started spying on her and just paying more attention to her than the class.

When school ended, Jungkook was called by the teacher to fill in some extra information for his school records. He told the others to just head home. They were unsure at first, but Jungkook quickly reassured them that he’d be okay.

He stayed in school for an hour while filling a 4-page data page. Meanwhile, Hana was still in school, cleaning classrooms because of the fight she had a couple weeks ago. One of the girls pissed her off so bad, that Hana punched her. Instead of being suspended, she was given cleaning duty, once a week. The school didn’t want to give her a harsher punishment because, well, she owned the school.

When she was done, Hana returned all the cleaning supplies to the janitor’s room and walked out of the school. As she was heading to the bus stop, she heard groaning from a nearby alleyway.

In the mean time, Jungkook was done with filling the papers and walked out of the school. As he was heading towards the bus stop, a hand shoved him in an alleyway. Jungkook fell on his bottom and looked up. Above him were 4 guys who had the same uniform as him. They looked like they were seniors. Jungkook felt a sudden kick on his stomach and groaned. The guys smirked at him and laughed.

Look who we have here, the hottest rookie group’s maknae, Jeon Jungkook. One of the guys said.

Wait hyung, isn’t he an ex-idol now? Another asked.

Oh right! Now he’s a nobody! The ious guy said, making the others laugh harder.

At least I’m not some low life who fights people for a living. A no brainer who does nothing but bullies. Jungkook bravely said.

The guys stopped laughing and glared at him. He knew by then that he shouldn’t have said that.

Jungkook was punched here and there. Kicked on the head and on his chest, but he couldn’t do anything. He could feel blood trickling down his face and lots of pain in his stomach. He started coughing up blood and the seniors just laughed at him.

Yah! Get the off him! Hana yelled at the seniors.

They were startled at first and looked the source of the voice. Hana’s eyes landed on Jungkook and her blood started to boil. The seniors just laughed at her and walked towards her.

Are you trying to be the hero here baby? Why don’t you just wait for us outside and we’ll go somewhere to have fun. One of the seniors said as he caressed Hana’s cheeks.

With that, Hana pulled his harm off her and twisted it. She turned around and slammed the guy to the wall. His friends, who were surprised by her sudden attack, stepped backwards. The guy, whom she had slammed to the wall, had a bleeding nose and was unconscious. Hana wiped the sweat off he face and glared at the remaining guys.

So, who wants to be next?

With that, they all ran away from her, not forgetting to carry their leader with them.

Cowards. Hana thought to herself as she approached the lifeless body.

She looked at him and wiped the blood of his bruised face. His uniform was a bit ripped and he looked familiar to Hana. Hana took his bag and slung it around her back. She then pulled him up and helped him out of the alleyway and called a taxi.
