Ending PageStretching out her tired arms, Amber takes a step outside and takes in the welcoming air of the great outdoors. It was 5am in the morning. She was too eager to get up and work with the boys this morning again. But they don’t wake up until 6am so Amber decided go out and take a walk.
“Ah! I didn’t expect you to be this early.” Hyun-Jae exclaimed all of a sudden, startling Amber.
“Halmoni!” Amber screeched, cupping her hand atop her humming bird heartbeats, “I didn’t expect you to be up either.”
“I’m always up at around this time. Normally, sonja would be awake by now but I assume he must be exhausted from last night.” Halmoni responded.
Last Night…
“CHEERS!” the boys cried, raising their beer bottles into the air.
“What’s going on? Why?” Amber asked, confused.
“We welcome a new member of the family!” Xiumin shouted.
“Me?” Amber pointed to her own face.
“Yes you! Cheers Amber!” Lay raised his bottle in the air, winking at her. Amber’s face immediately turned red and clinked her glass of milk against Lay’s, not making any eye contact. Lay let out a giggle but Kris elbowed him in the stomach and gave him a glare.
“Beer?” Tao opened a fresh bottle of beer and offered it to Amber. But Amber just shooked her hand ‘no’.
“Thanks but I don’t drink.” Amber said. Then suddenly, Xiumin hyperly shot his bottle up with his hand gripped firmly around the neck.
“TO AMBER!” he shouted, his face all red from the alcohol.
“To Amber!” everyone else repeated.

“Don’t remind me.” Amber slouched over, thinking back to last night as to how awkward they made her feel last night by making her the center of attention.
Hyun-Jae chuckled, “Well, my dear, you’ll get used to their non-sense soon enough.” Amber laughed in hysterics. “Care to spend some time with me this morning before you’re off to work in the fields?”
“Of course. It’ll be my honor Halmoni.” Amber smiled.
The forest was quiet. Leaves rustled as woodland creatures scurry from one place to another. Birds sung their songs and the wind would whisper softly every now and then. It was peaceful.
“This is nice.” Amber took in a deep breath of fresh air.
“I’m glad someone else appreciates nature as much as I do.” Hyun-Jae agreed.
“Does the boys not enjoy this beauty with you?” Amber asked.
“Well, they say they do but I can tell that they don’t know how to be thankful for it.” Hyun-Jae frowned.
“You have me now don’t you?” Amber smiled sincerely. Hyun-Jae nodded in appreciation.
And with that, they began their stroll. They walked through an endless forest, seeing tree after tree of various kinds. Oak, Maple, Birch, you name it. Wild critters would pop in and out bushes, the wind flying through the empty space and calmness washing over one’s body. It was relaxing for Amb
