On her way to the place of the person she addressed as “one of her saviour”, she saw an amusing scenery of what's inside the building she resided. Different from her actual image of the word “organization headquarters” which she thought would be filled with the smell of cigarette smoke, weapons all over the wall, and bunch of muscular guys who's wearing sleeveless jackets, but no, this place is entirely different, the place is neat and organized, filled with computers and the people who's working on it wearing headphones with mic like operators. If she could replace the word of headquarters, then it would be “office”

 

Feels like I'm in Appa's office, she thought to herself.

 

“Do you like our headquarters...Yuri-shi?” Dara caught Yuri was observing her place of work.

 

“Oh,” Yuri tilted her head to the person who guided her. “Yeah, I really like it, it astounds me, truthfully. Far from what I thought it would be.” she conceded truthfully.

 

“What do you think it's like before? Did you think this place is filled with smoking muscular guys as the workers? We get that a lot.” Yuri was surprised, the girl's guess was completely correct with no flaws, like reading through her mind. She's more clever than Yuri thought she is.

 

“Kinda.” she responded shortly, then Yuri got her attention back to the scenery she was observing, then silence came back and haunted them. Dara, on the other hand, was thinking hundreds of topic so she could keep talking to her idol, Kwon Yuri, who she saw as her role model, finally had her dream came true, walking in the aisle, only the two of them. It was a pity, she thought, she couldn't come up with a topic as she planned, walking with her role model was too much for her to think straight.

 

“Hey there, girls! Going to see Director as well?” a cheerful voice chirped behind their back. Followed by a gloomy face behind that voice, the two walked alongside girls.

 

“Yes, Chaerin, we are.” Dara was really grateful CL came up into the picture, she's the girl who could talk about anything, to anyone, anytime, the happy-go-lucky type. She wished that Lee Chaerin would come up with a topic who can save them from the awkwardness.

 

“CL!” Yuri called out her name excitedly. “I almost forgot, I haven't properly thank you for saving my life and Donghae's and get me here safely. Gomawo!” Yuri took CL's hand and shook it firmly, even giving her a friendly hug.

 

“It was nothing, Yuri. You don't have to thank me since it's my job anyway~” a chuckle was audible behind her back when CL was trying to stay humble, the gloomy face that tagged along with CL finally showed a different expression, he almost puke to hear those words came outfrom CL's mouth, after that argument they had earlier.

 

“...And you too, TOP.” Yuri reflectively added her sentence of gratitude to the guy behind CL, he wasn't really anticipating Yuri's thanks, but it was better than nothing. At least he can show that he's useful enough to get her thanks, he was that desperate to make CL embarrased.

 

“Your welcome, Miss Kwon.” he replied with a smirk that's directed to CL, and CL saw it with a nonchalant look. The two girls knew there was something up between them, and Dara, who's used to these kind of situation urged herself to ask, what's with them this time.

 

“Chaerin and TOP sunbae, are you on another quarrell, again?” Dara emphasized the word 'again' as obvious as it can be, to show how bored she is with this condition which happens all the time, it is something, that even Dara can't tolerate..

 

“Ani, someone just lost an argument, and tried his best that prove himself worthy, don't mind him, Yuri, Unnie.” CL brought up the result of her argument with TOP, which she found something's worth to boast.

 

“As if.”

 

“Aish, can't you two grow up and be in good terms with each other? I can't count how many times you've squabbled with each other. We have Yuri-shi here, can't you be in peace, just this once?” Dara tried to be the mediator between the two, showed her usual neutral mannerism.

 

“You're one to talk, Sandara. Don't act as if you're the kindest here, only if Miss Kwon is around.” TOP sneered heartlessly and painfully. Dara blushed in red and lowered her head down. She had to admit, TOP has a point there.

 

However, to CL's point of view, TOP's remark was way to harsh. “T! That's not the way to talk to your Noona!”

 

“It's okay, Chaerin. Sunbae's right though.” Dara kindly gave herself in, as harsh as it sounds, TOP was right, no matter how she thought of it. Now that Dara was included in their petty fight, Yuri was even more clueless how to deal with this situation. To talk or not to talk, it was a choice she could pick, she felt she'll be a busybody for meddling into the other persons' business, and she had the chance of getting TOP's hurtful taunts. But, she didn't really care.

 

“TOP Oppa, it's still not right to talk like that. Dara's just trying to calm you both, can't you understand her good deeds?” Yuri warned softly, CL and Dara couldn't help but shrudder upon her bravery to talk back to TOP, when they know she would only add oil to flame namely TOP.

 

“...Ne, you're right. I'm sorry, Sandara.” his reaction was unexpectedly calm.

 

Yuri flashed a satisfied smile upon her achivement to reduce the tense atmosphere.

 

CL and Sandara were left speechless.

“You guys are finally here! What took you so long, guys?! I've been waiting like, forever.” the guy with faux-hawk hair greeted casually as the four people entered the premises. However, he didn't get the answer of his question.

 

Yuri checked on the room, besides him, there was a girl who was putting a headphone just like the operators outside while concentrating her attention to the computer, not even bothered to look at people who just entered the room.

 

The other one, was a man which looked like he's in his forty, but his style didn't seem like one. He put a smile on his face since the group

 

“Welcome! I believe you're Kwon Yuri, correct?” Yuri nodded approvingly. The man's smile was even brighter before, and he gave a gentle, friendly hug to the younger girl.

 

“You've grown, Yuri. Girl, I'm glad you're safe.” the man said between their hug, even though Yuri had no idea who the man is, the embrace felt unknowingly familiar, she knew this man before, she just happen to forget.

 

“...Uncle YG?” Yuri tried to remember hesistantly, the man's reaction, however, was very pleased to hear that name, “You remembered.”

 

“Uncle YG!” Yuri exclaimed delightly and tightened her hug with the older man, Uncle YG Yuri's back caringly, he gave a forehead kiss to Yuri. The other fellow somehow was confused that these meeting between their director and their guest had become a family reunion, except for the girl who was nonchalant of Yuri's presence, the girl with the headphone.

 

Yuri broke the hug but still refuse to let go of her uncle, she put her hand on his shoulders. “It has been ages since I see you! Where have you been all this time?!” Yuri questioned with a high tone.

 

“I moved, didn't you remember?” YG tried to remind the excited girl. “Seoul wasn't exactly my type of town, so I moved here to Busan, which is my real hometown. You were so little back then, I bet you didn't realize I was moving.”

 

“Of course I didn't! You never even bother to tell me!” Yuri notified angrily. “I always ask where you are to the others whenever we hold a family meeting, and they always says that you're busy that I forget how your face looks like!”

 

“Well, as a matter of fact, I am busy. You can see what I'm running here that keep me in my desk.” he stated in a matter-of-fact style. Yuri understood that this company he's running was no ordinary company judging by the contents of his office, its size is equal to Kwon Company that her father used to run. She believed 'grand' is right word to describe the lifestyle of her father and his siblings.

 

“I can see you're doing great yourself! I've watched several of your performances on TV and attended few concerts myself! I bet your strong-willed personality made you this way, after all you were beautiful since you were little, I'm not really surprised that you chose to became a singer, in fact, I am glad that you did.” he said with a happy grin, Yuri blushed in red to hear her Uncle's compliment, to have her family prasing her work is something she could be proud of since there aren't any ordinary Kwons, except her twin sister.

 

“I bet your father Yu Jin must be very proud of—oh sorry.” he closed his mouth instinctly, it was not to be spoken, not in front of his daughter. Yuri, heard her father's name was about to be mentioned, she could only smile weakly towards him, she was sad, to have to remember about her father, and YG couldn't help but feeling guilty to have mentioned his deceased brother and made his niece sad.

 

He brought her into another hug, trying to relieve her depression. “...Yuri-ah, I'm really, really sorry for what happened to Yu Jin, jeongmal mianhe, I didn't expect him to be in dangerous path and ended up like that, I should've seen that coming.” tears started to form in Yuri's eyes, only her family members could understand her sadness.

 

“I'm so sorry too for your loss, Uncle. It's must've been hard for you as well, you didn't manage to see his last moments.”

 

“I attended his funeral, actually.” Yuri's eyes blinked to hear that he attended her father's funeral, there was an information she had to know. She looked up and saw her uncle who's slightly taller than her.

 

“You did?! And..how's mother, and my brother and my sister?”

 

“They're not really..in a good shape, especially your mother who cried her heart out before his grave.” he informed sadly.

 

“Oh..I see.” she responded deppresedly.

 

“Also, I can't take you home, either, Yuri. I'm really sorry but I can't take the risk having my niece dies in a same, tragic way as he is. You're his last legacy. Don't worry about your family, I have placed the best security I can provide.” he added, he wanted nothing more but to send Yuri back to her mother's hug, but he realized the security that he could provide isn't that convincing enough.

 

“It's okay, Uncle YG. I'm not planning to go back either.” Yuri admitted bluntly, putting YG in a slight surprise. That guilt she had for not saving her father's life was still there, even though it had been days since that tragedy happened, she still can't forgive herself.

 

“In the meantime, I think I'm going to stay with you, Uncle! Do you mind? Because my last place to stay has been...messed.” In the corner of her eyes, she could see TOP was trying to evade her gaze, it was needless to say that it's part of his responsibility too.

 

“Sure, why not? We have plenty of rooms available here, Dara will show you your room once we're debriefed. Oh, your boyfriend Donghae, is welcome here too! It's best that you two to stick together, he's trustworthy enough for me.” Yuri grinned upon hearing her request to stay has been fulfilled.

 

“Speaking of which, are these guys, friends of yours? Because they have acronyms in their names just like yours!” she pointed CL and her companions,. “What I'm not keen with is, why do you need to hire some people who's expert in combat in an electrical company, I've seen the banner. “Yang” is “Y” from “YG” right?”

 

“That's so clever of you. Yup, these guys are my companions, and I'm their leader if I might say so, I take charge in command. Running an electric company is a job that I chose, and having these guys by my side is the job that's chosen for me. I was selected by the country to watch over the security of South Korea, to defend this state from harm, in secret.” YG explained throughly, presenting his career with pride. Yuri was mesmerized that his uncle was someone who devotes that much for his country.

 

“So it was you who send them to protect me?” Yuri came up with a simple question.

 

“Not really, I mean, I gave them the order but it was—”

 

“Director.” TOP suddenly called, reminding him of something of what he shouldn't say.

 

“Ah...I'm sorry TOP, my bad.” he apologized for some reason. “Yeah, I called them to protect you of course! It's obvious I don't want my niece princess got hurt by the hands of bad guys!” somehow Yuri sensed there was more that her uncle wished to say, but she didn't bother to interrogate further.

 

“You may have met them, but I'll introduce you along with their real names, and you were right, Yuri-ah, I made their codenames except Dara who refuse to use my silly names, she said.”

 

“It is silly, Director-nim I'd rather people to call me by my own name.” Dara opiniated in all of sudden.

 

“Tch, you have no sense of style, Dara. Either way, let's start from the right to left.” YG started introducing them who made an uneatly line. “Her name is CL, stands for Chaerin Lee. CL, Yuri.”

 

“Pleasure to meet you again,Yuri! We're friends already Director, so it's unnecessary to re-introduce as she knows me so well right now.” CL gave off her eye smile to Yuri, which Yuri replied with a friendly smile.

 

“Too well, you introduce yourself, way too well.” TOP once again slipped a chance to mock the younger girl, causing CL to roll her eyes. YG, was aware of their unspoken fight just when TOP came up with that remark.

 

“Now, now. Could you two please stop it? I'm not even done introducing CL yet.”

 

“He started it Director! I was—” CL was about to start her blaming game.

 

“CL, behave.” he reminded softly.

 

“...Yes, Director.” sha backed down obediently. TOP smirked victoriously to get CL scolded, unfortunately, YG saw TOP's smirk and he wasn't happy with it.

 

“TOP, you too, stop interrupting your friends.”

 

“...I'm sorry, Director.” TOP backed down as well, this is the second time a Kwon made him silent that day.

 

“Anyway, CL is responsible for any kinds of vehicles, an Ace Driver, she can ride everything excellently, she's 26.”

 

“Next, then, is Sol, his real name is Dong Youngbae. Our Machinist, he handles our gadgets and weapons, the youngest in this group, 24.” Yuri listened to her uncle carefully, but she found something odd. Youngest? She thought that person was the youngest.

 

Sol hurriedly approach Yuri and gave her a wiggling handshake. “Pleasure to meet you! Miss Kwon Yuri! My, you're as beautiful as you look on TV! Can I ask you to consider a date with me—Ouch! Hyung, it hurts!” TOP pinched his ear and dragged him back to the line before he says something that might offend Yuri, or at least makes her uncomfortable, his behavior explains enough who he is.

 

“Next up, is Dara, Sandara Park. She's responsible for medical treatments here, you have seen what she's capable when she took care of Lee Donghae, if you feel hurt in any way just contact her, small or large wounds. Oh, not to mention she's a big fan of you, Yuri-ah.” Dara was flustered when she found YG introducing the most embarrasing part, but deep inside she was grateful Yuri might have a chance to recognize her, even just a bit.

 

“..It's a pleasure to meet you, Yuri-shi. I've been a big fan of you since you've debuted, and I really, really, really hope we can be acquaintance.” the shy girl who Yuri thought was the youngest finally spoke as she bowed her head ninety deegres, the repeatance of the word “really” showed how high her expectations in this introduction.

 

Yuri bowed back to show her humbleness. “It's a pleasure to meet you, as Donghae's saviour and as my fan, I'm really happy to see you here. If you want, you could ask me anything as a token of my gratitude, and don't be shy! I don't bite.” Yuri convinced with a joke, Dara's expression became brighter than before.

 

“And Dara's 28, the second oldest in the group.” Yuri was taken aback to hear that information, she really couldn't believe that the girl who seemed like a child in front of her was the second oldest, moreover, older than her plenty years ahead.

 

“You're...twenty-eight? Really, really twenty-eight?” Yuri asked in disbelief, to think that her uncle might be playing tricks on her, however, Dara nodded in response, saying that information about her age was true.

 

Yuri was still little bit shocked to have that confirmation on her face, Dara's image showed something exactly like twenty-year old. “Wow, then, I'm really sorry for not using formalities on you, that's really rude of me. Mianhaeyo, Dara-shi” Yuri lowered her head, apologizing while adding a sign of formality. Dara wasn't pleased to hear that her idol to feel bad about it.

 

“No, no! It's nothing like that, Yuri-shi! You don't have to be burdened by it, please, just use your everyday language. It's more comfortable for me...” Dara admitted depresedly. She felt bad because her age had cause trouble to herself and Yuri.

 

“Ahem..can I continue, Yuri-ah?” YG tried to break them from the awkward atmosphere.

 

Yuri raised her head, “Yes, Uncle, you may continue.”

 

“Our fourth member, is TOP.” YG patted his shoulders from the back, while TOP was trying his best to look away from Yuri's eyes, Yuri figured he didn't like her as much he didn't like Donghae since she is his partner in every way, but to TOP, there's more reason for not looking at her, sentimental reason.

 

“He is the best when it comes to field combat, and make the impossible possible, He's 26 years old, same as CL, and...his real name, unknown, he refused to give it to anyone and he made that name by himself, he's my idea to make the codenames for other members, though...Oh, and watch out for his cruel, ridiculously ear-aching remarks.” YG warned about his mouth, that's the impression Yuri got since the beginning TOP showed up in Jeju Kwon Mansion, not to have a debate with this guy.

 

TOP rolled his eyes. “Do you really have to add that, Director? It has got nothing to do with the main topic of the conversation.”

 

“In a way, it does, so my beloved niece doesn't have to take it on from you. Besides, you got your real name sealed so I suppose I have to add more information about you, it describes you the best, actually.” YG retaliated with a sense of protecting Yuri, making TOP groaned.

 

“Last but not least is Jenny, who's the Operator of—Jenny, are you listening?” the girl was still sitting on her computer, typing away with an incredible speed with her headphone on, not bothering to look nor to Yuri, YG or her teammates. Her other teammates gave her a weary look, if it's personality, this girl was even more irritating than TOP is, if TOP is annoying for his verbal, Jenny is known for her ignorance.

 

“Jenny!” YG raised his tone to get the girl's attention, his effort ended up in futile, or so he thought.

 

“Kwon Yuri, second daughter of Kwon Yu Jin and Park Im Seo, a little sister to Kwon Ji Yong and twin sister of Kwon Im Yoona. Known as “Black Pearl” Kwon Yuri on stage, manager's name Nichkhun Horjevkul, a half-Thai, half-Korean man, age 23, Zodiac sign Sagittarius, place of birth; Seoul, debuted at the age of 18, daily consumer of Chinese herbal tonic, oldest girl and Director's oldest niece in Kwon family, favorite food Takoyaki, attended Chung Ang University’s Department of Theater.” Jenny spoled out all information about Yuri out of nowhere, finally, Jenny rose up from her chair and let go off her headphone, offering a handshake to the shocked Yuri, she was astounded to hear all that information being discovered as if they were an auto-biography book that was read by Jenny.

 

“Codename Jenny, real name Park Bom, age 30, oldest, in charge of Operation. Pleasure to meet you, Miss Kwon.” Jenny presented herself, brief and efficient. She returned to her seat buoyantly, putting her headphone and occupying herself with the computer once again.

 

“You and your information..Jenny. Still astonish me.” YG praised quietly.

 

Yuri got closer to her uncle's ear. “Where..did she get all that? I mean, my data? Is it posted in the web?” Yuri whispered.

 

“It may be, but to memorize all that in one read, that's Jenny.” YG informed with a grin, Jenny showed the most fantastic way to impress Yuri.

 

“She led all operations that happened here, including your redemption, Yuri-ah. She gave all basic instructions of what CL and TOP should do at that time, including the preparation of that boat, that's all her doings. So be sure to thank her too, not now, of course, as you can see how occupied she is.” YG explained.

 

“And...there's still one left, actually, but that person isn't here, so I'll just introduce myself then; YG, abbreviation of Yang Goon, Kwon Yang Goon. Err...42, so you know.” He embarrasedly told Yuri her age, which is something ashaming to him. “I'm the Director of YGE, Youth General Enforcer. I have something to say you as well, Yuri.”

 

“What's that, Uncle?”

 

“It's good to see you again, healthy and alive.”

 

The younger girl couldn't help herself, tears of compassion made her eyes watery, as she broke in to another with her long, lost Uncle. Except TOP and Jenny, the other members couldn't help but feeling moved over the family reunion once more, it was a beautiful scenery for all of them.

 

“It's good to see you too, Uncle.”

“Now to the main point. Everyone I have, an announcement to make, listen up.” The 42-year-old man broke the hug with his niece and gathered his subordinates.

 

“Director, we were listening, from the start.” TOP said indifferently.

 

“You were? All of you?” YG on purpose made the atmosphere silent, wasn't completely silent, but YG purposely tried to show everyone what he's trying to imply. Only sound of clicking and typing were audible that moment.

 

“Jen doesn't count.” TOP added, calling Park Bom by her nickname.

 

“I heard that.” Jenny quickly rebutted. “Don't mind me, Director. I'm also listening.” contradictive to her own words, she kept typing away. YG sighed deppresedly, but decided to go on before another conflict arise.

 

“Arraso. Now, you all know we have one member who's missing at the moment right?” YG reminded five people in that room. Sol's eyes became fiery to have that lost member, mentioned.

 

“He's not missing, that guy is rarely here!” Sol corrected wearily, “One more month I might forget about what his face looks like, what does he think of us, really? Dumping all of us like that, he only comes in the times of crisis, to get all the credits himself!” he took a deep breath, letting all the emotion inside him floods out. The others couldn't protest upon his argument.

 

“I'd rather have him left for good.” all members gasped to hear that rude comment that Sol came up with up, and the most unhappy one was TOP.

 

“Sol! Watch your mouth! You should be grateful that he's there to overcome that crisis, but what if he doesn't? Don't talk as if you could do better than---”

 

“ENOUGH!” a loud roar from YG interrupted another upcoming argument, all members including Yuri were taken aback and they had mini heart-attacks, except for the girl who was still siiting on her desk calmly. “One more time you have a fight then you're all out of this headquarters for all I care, you guys are too old to have a fight! You're in your twenties! Sometimes I prefer Jenny's behavior than you all are, who constantly bickering with each other for trivial reasons.”

 

“All of you, listen, I will not tolerate another interruption.” Everyone got their heads drooped down, Yuri was a bit surprised to found her uncle became furious like that, she never got scolded when she was a child, even when she broke his favorite antiques.

 

“That guy may absent here, and his service may be absent for a long time, but get this : I will not fire him and he won't be out of the team as long as he doesn't say he quits. Arraso?!” YG wanted to make sure everybody understands his intention, Yuri, who was about to ask the identity of that guy reconsider her wish, she didn't want to erupt another lava out of its volcano.

 

“Either way, his reasons of absence are essentials and I could truly understand that those reasons were inevitable, and I hope you too can understand him, Sol. He's got much life ahead after he's been promoted.” Sol was feeling rather jealous upon that unfair remarks, that guy has always been defended all the time by TOP and YG, and as the youngest, he was forced to think that his opinions were still immature and unacceptable to the older ones.

 

“However, it's undeniable that with him gone, we're short of men as well. You all know it's not easy to find a temporary replacement with him gone, I'm pretty convinced that if he's here or we have a replacement for him, the “Salvage In Jeju Kwon Mansion” operation could've succeeded without a single harm.” YG clarified. On the other hand, TOP sighed in secret, he had much confident that his plan would succeed and he had to admit, it wasn't Donghae's fault either he got hurt.

 

“That's why I've been thinking..we really need to have his replacement as soon as possible, and frankly...” YG stole a glance to Yuri before he continued. “I've found an interesting potential.”

 

Yuri, somewhat feeling uneasy, had a speculation that her uncle might blurt out the last name she wanted to hear.

 

“Director, who is this person?” CL, for the first time being polite in front of YG.

 

“Lee Donghae.” he answered briefly.

 

“Oh it's...what?”

 

“WHAT?!!” the group screamed in unison, excluding Jenny.

 

“Why? Is it that surprising?” YG asked dumbfoundedly, he didn't expect that name would cause a loud shout from his team, not from TOP, at least.

 

“Of course it does, Director! To put that wimp in the team! Ask anything but that!I can't help but ask if you're out of your mind! ” TOP stated panicly, he just thought about how Donghae was useful back then and he might reconsider of reconcile with Donghae, but no, he wouldn't do it when his Director even give him a place of someone who's special for him, no way he's going to let him join the team and replace that person, at all costs.

 

“That wimp's name is Donghae, and I have a good reason to say that I'm not. TOP, stop being so biased just because you're not in good terms with that boy, you think I didn't know?” TOP was shocked to hear that, true, he never thought of his ability when he said he disagredd with YG's decision, he was using his feeling, not his mind.

 

“That's...” TOP hesitated, his courage shrunk to hear that words of truth, he may look down at Donghae, but just then, he admitted he has a marvelous ability in some ways.

 

“But Uncle..” Yuri was about to reject the decision as well.

 

“I know you'll be the one who will be worried sick if he joins, Yuri-ah. I have a way to convince you, Jenny.” YG flicked his fingers, sending his command to the oldest, the others looked at her while she's quietly typing on her keyboards.

 

“With Lee Donghae in YGE, based on his records, the chances of the team getting injured will decrease from twenty percent to fifteen percent, combat power will increase from seventy-five percent to eighty-four percent, the efficiency of YGE's operations will increase from seventy percent to eighty-one percent, also, Lee Donghae can provide what's inside of Jessica Jung's organization since he used to be the one of the commander with high rank, so with all that calculated, YGE's mission's success ratio may increase to seventy-eight percent to eighty-five percent.” Jenny explained in a statistical approach. None of those statistics helped Yuri in anything except the name Jessica Jung.

 

“They're only numbers.” TOP denied.

 

“But they're accurate.” YG replied casually.

 

“Director-nim...TOP sunbae had a point though, we can't just recruit someone just by records. There are many things to consider as well, whether he's ready or not, for example.” Dara reckoned, trying to support TOP's opinion.

 

“I'm sure he is, after all, this meant to protect Yuri, to have a full-scale team ready for action on the field protecting her, I'm sure he'll be more than ready, he'll get more firepower, we can fill the shortage of our people. Win-win solution.” Dara and TOP was losing from their argument, they wanted to protest but it was a fact that their team wasn't as stable before that guy left the company. As good as their teamwork is, they needed more men, that's for sure.

 

“But Director-nim, he doesn't know how our operation works.” Dara insisted hesitantly.

 

“That's why we're always here to teach him aren't we?”

 

Dara chose to stay silent, she knew it was pointless arguing to YG once he decides something.

 

“Then, to make it fair, why don't we do a majority vote? If the ones who's supporting Donghae have more voices, then Donghae will join the team, and vice versa! That's simple, right?” CL gave off an idea, which was unlikely the best idea to solve the matter.

 

“Of course, your vote must be provided with reasons.” YG added, to make it even fairer.

 

“Okay...who agrees letting Donghae into YGE?! Put your hands up!” as expected, CL raised her hand as soon as she finished speaking, Sol, the youngest did so too, and of course, YG, the idea maker, raised his hand, not acting at his age, however, the one he expected to raise her hand didn't move an inch. YG frowned a bit to see his expectation didn't came true.

 

“Let's start with CL, since everyone know my reasons already.” YG commanded, leaving a hint of

disappointment in his voice.

 

"Because it's more fun with more people, right?! It's just as simple as that!” CL chattered excitedly, she liked Donghae's character right from the start and she wished to see more romantical views between Donghae and Yuri, simple, yet stupid to some point of views, she never cared upon Jenny's data earlier.

 

“What the—”

 

“TOP, no comment, please.” YG interrupted before TOP's words lead to another quarrel, even so, YG found CL's reason was kind of unacceptable as well, but he kept it for yourself, all that mattered was that CL supported his idea, that's it.

 

YG pointed his finger to Sol, who was standing beside CL's left side. “And you, Sol? I don't see any reason why you should favored Donghae.”

 

“Exactly, I don't have any reason to support Lee Donghae. I just don't feel welcoming that guy when he comes back, at least Lee Donghae can provide us some 'realistic' help, not just watching from behind like someone.” Sol quipped while playing with his pointy hair, in purpose of avoiding TOP's sharp stare.

 

“Okay, fair enough, Sandara, you're up.” YG turned his eyes to Dara.

 

“It's—it's my turn..already?” Dara asked stutteredly, looked so unprepared to answer.

 

“Yes, name your reasons why you didn't want to have Donghae in the team.”

 

“Oh..the reason why I didn't want Donghae-shi in the team is because...I don't want to risk to have him hurt himself again, his leg was pretty screwed and if he joined our team, who knows what will come down to him. I know the fact that if we work together, the chances of him getting injured will be lesser, but still, on the field...” Dara glanced at TOP for few seconds. “...On the field, he still has to work with TOP sunbae, and even now, they're still fighting with each other and it will affect to the teamwork that's been born around us.” TOP couldn't help but smirk to have him to be the reason of Sandara's refusal over YG's idea.

 

“CL and TOP always bickers all the time, and we never see it as a problem.” YG responded back.

 

“That's a different case, Director-nim. Chaerin and TOP sunbae may fight with each other but they don't really despise each other, I mean, even if they do, they're in the different division so it wouldn't make much difference, furthermore, Chaerin and TOP sunbae has been in this job for years, their fight wouldn't cause a lot as long as they stick to the code, meanwhile Donghae-shi is really new in this thing, his recruitment is so...unprepared.” Dara ended up her 'speech', making everyone sigh for how long her sentence was.

 

“You got a point there, girl. Now, TOP, you seem to be the one who oppose my idea most, but cast aside your unfriendly relationship with him unless you want me not to put your vote into an account.” the guy who just got warned by YG gulped, he knew exactly what he was about to say, his overwhelming hatred to Donghae corrupted his clear mind just now.

 

“Of course, Director.” TOP tried to look as mature as possible. “Now, the reason I don't pick him into the team is because I don't think he's worthy enough to be replace that guy, Director, I mean, it's true that wimp posseses some remarkable abilities on the field..but still, that guy is even more than that, Director.” TOP's mind was too occupied of how defending the place out from Donghae's reach and yet he didn't realize he just praise Donghae at the same time.

 

“That's why I said temporary, right? It's not like he's going to take the place forever.”

 

“But...!” TOP's state of mind was really unstable, all he think about is to decline every word YG said, the next second he realized he had no idea what to say. “But...he's our leader, right? We can't hand him the leader position.”

 

“I thought I was your leader.” YG joked lightly.

 

“On the field.” TOP groaned.

 

“Haha! Arraso, if that's what you're worrying about..don't worry, I'm not that naive to put a newcomer as a leader, instead I was thinking of putting you in that position, don't you think you fit in that position, since you worked with that guy the longest period of time besides everyone here?” TOP was taken aback to hear that sentence, its not that he's expecting that to happen.

 

“Me..? No way, I'm not qualified ...enough.”

 

“I think you do, you have the same mindset, you know how he works, you know every information he has, you're qualified in every way, TOP.” YG tried to convince TOP up.

 

“No, he's different and...I don't even think I'm as good he is” TOP's enthusiasm dimmed bit by bit.

 

“So..is it a yes or no?” YG wanted his confirmation.

 

“No.”

 

“Are you sure?”

 

“Positive.”

 

“There's no second chance.”

 

“Affirmative.”

 

“Still—”

 

“Director, stop.” he just realized he was carried away by YG's little game. “I don't want to replace him, I don't want that wimp replace him, and that's final.” TOP confirmed his opinion firmly and took a back step to the line,

 

YG sighed, he thought this method would make TOP reconsider his choice of vote. He shifted his gaze to Jenny, she just asserted every ways possible to get Donghae recruited, but she herself didn't even raise her hand, not even hesitating to do it.

 

“Jenny unnie, what about you? You don't seem interested, but why do you turn down Director-nim's offer? Or do you even listening?” Dara questioned Jenny abruptly, before YG made a move.

 

Jenny lowered her headphone from her ears and hung it around her neck. Showing a smile, sarcasticly cold smile. “Dara, if I don't, I wouldn't come up with such data, wouldn't I?”

 

“..Yes, unnie.” Dara got the nerve to stay silent, somehow Jenny's cold remark slightly offended her.

 

“Anyhow, I'm not really into this stuff of recruiting, do what you wish, Director. But my answer to silly vote is a no. Done.” Jenny put her headphone and was about to type on her computer again, but YG stopped her.

 

“You said 'he may increase our alliance's power from seventy-eight percent to eighty-five percent.' if I recall correctly. Are you not interested to have advantage over our enemies?”

 

“I'm not, not one bit, I'm here to work, not to win something, and I also said 'he may' not 'he will', it's just a probability. My reason for rejection? Teaching him is a waste of time and energy.” Jenny continued her focus back to the computer, without giving a single care of what her decision may cause to the team.

 

“In results it's even, three-on-three. That means, we're back to square one.” everyone sighed disappointedly, to hear the result that CL read outloud.

 

Everyone, but one.

 

“...Could you guys please stop it?” Yuri demanded with low tone, but none heard what she said, still occupied with a method how to decided Donghae to joing YGE or not.

 

CL flicked her fingers, another idea of voting has come to her brain, “I have an idea! How about we---”

 

“STOP IT!” Yuri cried outloud, making everyone startled and have their shoulders shrudded, excluding Jenny who didn't give a care of the game since the beginning, “Look, are you really serious putting decision of one's life with a game?! This is a matter of life-and-death! Someone could die while you're choosing with your silly votes! How can you be so unthoughtful?!”

 

All the members lowered their heads, they couldn't help but be embarrased with Yuri's statement which they found was true, they weren't serious about their reasons except Dara and they didn't put all their senses together of how they should deal with this matter, only TOP found he was trapped into YG's little game, but he still chose to participate and it angered Yuri to find their childishness, playing over Donghae's life.

 

“You didn't even include the person here and yet you decide things he should do in the future?! Is this the task that the country has given to you?! Is this how you recruit people? Pick the candidate, do a stupid game to decide and then, that's it? I'm not a soldier, but I believe it takes more than that to become one, that's what makes them special among the others!”

 

Staying silent was the best option the team could came up with.

 

 

“How dare you even use numbers as consideration! He's a human not a computer! I'm not going to let your ridiculous decisions gets into Donghae's life and that's that. I'm leaving, I'm sick with a team who can't even get along with each other, you're just bunch of talented individuals with no sense of teamwork.” Yuri took a heavy, fast paced steps to the exit of the door, YG intended to stop her.

 

“Yuri-ah—”

 

“Don't talk, uncle! You're the most childish one!” Yuri left the room with a heavy slam on the door.

 

“Did we..do something wrong?” Dara came up with a rhetorical answer that no one bother to answer. They realized they had done wrong, but they hadn't before Yuri reminded them with a yell.

 

Another air of silence greeted.

 

In addition of keyboard typing sounds.

 

Author's Note :

 

I must say I have fun writing this chapter because I get the chance of writing different characters, and all I want to do in this chapter's Author's Note is to do a full character review on YGE, a bit of story review maybe.

 

YG : I really like the character of Kwon Yang Goon because he fits the leader position, even with his childish attitude, unlike his nemesis on SM team, yeah, I'll be making this a war between SM and YG I think. Yang Goon's weakness, maybe, is because he's too tolerant towards others and sometimes too childish like Yuri said. Originally, I wanted to make him a total stranger but I think it will be more comfortable for Yuri to communicate with him. His real name is actually Yang Hyun Seuk, but I had to add Kwon and delete Seuk on the back in order to make the name better.

 

Jenny : My favorite, really, really, my favorite. She is my impingement, of my fail cold characters like Siwon, for example, they ended up to be someone with sharp tounges, and that's that (TOP is better at Siwon though), honestly, I was even surprised with myself to write Jenny's charateristic, she doesn't like to talk, and only talks a lot when it comes to numbers, her scientific behavior is based on my imagination of how scientists would be. Actually, co-author darkyourday wanted to make a character of Jenny of someone who deosn't talk in a modest way, but I think this is the chance to prove I'm capable of writing untalkative character, and there she, Jenny, a.k.a. Park Bom, whom I thought her name is a codename.

 

TOP : He's a complicated person right from the start he appeared and he is a character shrouded with mysteries. His relationship with Jessica, his past with his ex-fiancee, his respect towards someone I haven't reveal that have the title of YGE's commander, and he will my special character in YGE because I have stories of his own. This silver sharp tounge 2^nd Commander is probably the kind of hero that I favor. Actually, you all know what's his real name, but there's a reason I won't tell y'all until a long period of time.

 

Dara : The kindest of all. That's the only thing tha explains who she is. She is this story's Seohyun in real life, naggy, formal, neutral, pure, innocent, health freak (as she is the doctor of YGE) and I think she had her share of my explanation back in chapter 32 so I think it won't be necessary :P all I have to say is that she has qualities of real deal leader.

 

CL and Sol : They're two same person but with different genders and Sol is more childish that CL is, practically because he likes to be the youngest. Although CL fights a lot with TOP, but no, she never find herself hating someone until this point, she and Sol are both too carefree and often don't see situations they're in. However, Sol does hate few people, like his leader, Sol doesn't hate him for being a leader, but for what he is and what he does. That's why he really agrees when Donghae can replace him in the meantime and make TOP his leader. These two troublemakers will be the point of comedy elements in YG I think.

 

Their ages are not real, except for Dara and Sol. I'm not fond of any of them so I found myself writing their ages on my own. I hope you like YGE more and more from now on! :D Kamshahamida :))
