Jun Mi stood in front of the bulletin board shocked. She stared at her name in the top 50, which was placed beside the “2nd” title.

She really didn’t mind being the 2nd among the tops, in fact she even hates being in the top. What made her gape like that was the fact that she was going to be hearing some insults from the top 1 pupil.

Jun Mi hated his guts. He was the reason she became competitive with academics and stuff. She really didn’t like working hard. It’s not that she’s a lazy bum, but she just doesn’t want to put too much effort. Jun Mi still does work, but in a dull manner.

“Look at Ms. Second Placer...” Jun Mi heard the familiar annoying voice. God how that voice irritates her.

Jun Mi turned around and saw Mr. “Perfect” (according to everyone, except me, at school). If not for the fact the he irritated Jun Mi, she might have considered him as a perfect person. He has the most attracting looks. He has that jaw dropping voice. He has those amazing sports skills. And he even has the brains.

As the girl stared at Mr. Perfect, she remembered how they met.

It was a day like this, sunny and, specifically, the day when the top 50 will be announced. Jun Mi and her best friend, Kim Eun Byul, went down the rooftop 5 minutes after someone announced that the top 50 were already posted. They didn’t want to battle with the crowd. Jun Mi really didn’t want to see the top 50, she hated looking at it. She didn’t want to see her name on it.

The two of them went near the deserted bulletin board and scrolled through the pupils’ names that were on the top 50. Jun Mi looked from the 50th student going to the higher rank. She stopped at the name beside 10 and smiled. Kim Eun Byul
