That night, the whole house had drifted into their respective dreamlands after spending the day with their own jobs except for one lad. He was still pushing himself into studying though it was very late. Quite so often he tried to fight with the urge of falling asleep.

JinYoung was still doing his revision as his final exam is coming and he will be going to college next year. He wanted to pursue his studies in astronomy as he liked stars and planets and he wanted to discover more about them.

He knew that the course he was taking was tough and difficult. In fact, not many students pursue their studies in that particular field. But JinYoung didn’t mind. He wanted to get excellent grades in order to get scholarships so that he can achieve his dreams.

JinYoung had always liked stars and the galaxies ever since he was small. He wanted to explore more about the universe and let the world know what else lies beyond.

JinYoung looked at the clock on his study table and saw that it was almost three in the morning. He decided to stop there as he had been going on for hours and his back was starting to get sore. He closed the books and kept all his papers which he used as notes.

As he was tidying things up, the door opened and SooYeon entered his room with a glass of milk in her hand. “JinYoung ah, I brought you milk. You’ve been studying for hours.” SooYeon said while giving him the glass.

JinYoung stared at it for a second before taking it from his mother. “Thank you, omma. Well, I have to keep on so I’ll be able to do well in the finals.” He said while the drink slip into his mouth and way down to his throat.

SooYeon nodded in understanding. She was well aware that JinYoung was facing his big exam in a matter of weeks. “What course are you taking next year, love?” SooYeon asked, clearly knowing that she didn’t know what JinYoung wanted to do in the future.

JinYoung smiled a little and said, “I want to do astronomy, omma. Since I was small I always have a thing about stars. I know there are not so many jobs that available for astronomy but I still want to do it. Oh, why aren’t you asleep yet, omma?” JinYoung asked, after finishing half of the glass.

SooYeon gave him a smile. “I saw that your room’s light is still on so I figured you must be awake and when I peeped a bit at the door, you were still studying. I decided to stay up as well, as to accompany you.” SooYeon explained.

“Oh, thanks again omma, but you don’t have to do that really.”

“It’s okay, love. Anyway, are you finished? It’s already three and you still have school right? You only have a few hours left before school starts so you better go to bed quickly.” SooYeon said and helped him to tidy up his stuff.
