There's Something I Can't Stand About You
Jongin’s POV
“So…just how did you protect me?” I asked Sohyun in my most serious tone of voice. We sat Indian style across from each other in his dressing room. We shared a bowl of ramen noodles which subtly became a war on who would eat the most. He slurped up a mouth full of noodles and said imprudently, “What?”
“That day at the wedding,” I sated with the roll of my eyes, “The last thing you said to me?”
“Oh…OH!” I take the bowl from his hands while he comes to his senses. “I’ve protect you more than I’ve hurt you.”
“How?”
“Think about it.” He said smugly. “I had always been with you, always, and though we fought, think about the other people you fought against. Did you ever notice me fighting that person right after you did?”
“Well…sometimes. What about Sulli? Your ex who ambushed me in the school bathroom?”
“I got a girl to beat her up.”
“Oh.” I took a big bite of noodles and began shouting with my mouth full. “Well how was I supposed to know you were protecting me that whole time? You weren’t that obvious! Am I psychic? Can I read minds?”
“Yah!” He screamed avoiding my spit. “Stop yelling.”
“Sorry.”
“I don’t like talking about our past.” He said solemnly, “Let’s start over and make new memories.”
“Ah.” I finished the cup and stood, then I began to head out the door saying goodbye. He grabbed me before I could even reach the doorknob.
