Author's Pov.

With her silence overtaking the conversation, he found it a sign to go on.

"Look, I know my decisions can't justify me for anything but I was going through so many things back then, that it made sense to make them. I know I can't take back what I did and I'm hurting each day for what my actions caused. There are many things that I regret but I know there's no way I can make it up which is why I have to live with this guilt.

"......"

"Please forgive me. I know I promised to never hurt you but I did. I never meant to do it intentionally, Nara. Please give me a second chance. Give me another chance to prove to you that I'm not the same person from before" pled Daehyun.

"J-Just let me go" muttered Nara.

"What?" questioned Daehyun.

"I don't think our relationship will be the same after everything that's happened. I'm sorry but I have no hope for this relationship anymore" replied Nara very coldly.

"A-Are you saying that there's no hope for me? us?" asked Daehyun, very painfully. "I'm sorry but if you were in my position, you would understand how I feel."

"I do, I perfectly do" retorted Daehyun, sounding desperate in his tone of voice. 

"No you don't."

Seeing his pained expression, Nara couldn't help but feel guilty. Yes she loved him but it wasn't easy for her to just move on and act like nothing happened. It just wasn't in her nature to act like nothing was wrong. 

"I-I get it. I'm sorry for bothering you. I won't try to bother you again." 

"You deserve someone who knows how to make things up to you, not someone who is very good with the word, "sorry."  And with that, he made his way towards the door, heading for the exit.

Before taking a pause in front of Nara, he began to say something. "I believe if two people are meant to be together, they'll eventually find their way back to each other. So I'll always be waiting for you, Nara. As pathetic as I sound, I'll always be waiting for you with my arms wide open so do come back to me when you're ready."

With his presence gone, Nara began to cry. She wept on the floor as she reminisced about their times together. I'm sorry Daehyun but I think this was for the best, even though I know I'll regret this someday, she sobbed to herself.

Daehyun's Pov.

"What happened?" I heard Youngjae ask as he plopped out of the floor where he was sitting. "It's over Youngjae, in the end she still didn't want me."

The air was so heavy and such that I didn't realize my tears were streaming down my face. I couldn't help but break down in front of him. As he saw this side of me, he instinctively pulled me into another room.

"She doesn't want anything to do with me anymore" I cried even louder. 

"I'm sorry" was all Youngjae kept repeating. I knew he was a bit overwhelmed with seeing me like this which might have caused him to act this way but I was thankful that he tried to console me.

 "Did it work?" I heard everyone yell as they made their way through the door.

As they saw my pained expression, they all stopped from their tracks. From my left eye, I could tell Youngjae was signaling them to shut up. All of a sudden, I felt their hands tap my back. "We're here for you, so don't ever forget that" they said in sync, almost like they planned this beforehand. But I was grateful for their support either way.

After weeping for which seemed about an hour, we decided to head back home. Ever since this whole mess started, I've been contemplating on what I would do if Nara rejected me. I made a promise to myself that I would truly stop bothering her if she rejected me again, I can't force her to take me back so might as well take the consequences as a man. I deserve this as a punishment so the least thing I could do is accept this. Maybe this is for the better.
